  1. The engines and gearboxs in the Falcon may be better but the rear end in the FGs (and B series) is sh!t.
  2. ^^^ Same here. If I didn't want a 4x4 I would have bought an R8 or SRT8. Sarcasm

  4. Congratulations Arron on being the first FH Falcon wagon owner .....I never though Ford were capable of building a good looking wagon but it looks like they have proven me wrong. I don't get my new car for another 3 weeks
  5. Nah mate, after 4 Fords in a row it's time for a change.
  6. Watched the new owner drive it out of my garage and take it away......

In other words skip the MTA china spacial and go for PTA or GTX from the start. Hope it gets sorted mate for you mate, but from reading your experience and others there is no way I'd be bolting on of these to my car.
  8. ^^^ I think your cat might be faulty. You can hear it moan right at the end of the clip.
  9. The only reason they said 280rwkw is because your valve springs and/or stock actuator will probably hold you back from making any more.
  10. Rockingham slappers and matsfgxr6turbo mates love chev badges?
  11. Unfortunately not many people that would care or notice these days. More pics stolen from AFF......
  12. This was posted on AFF today. Look to be an XR6 (not bonnet bulge).
  13. Check this thread http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/88072-squeaking-driver-seat/
  14. If any WA members are after some genuine 19" Ford wheels, I have a set of FG luxury pack wheels and tyres that I have no use for any more. Wheels are immaculate apart from one small scratch on one. Rears tyres about 25% life left and front about 50% life left so they are ok. This is them on my car about 18 months ago....
  15. Took some pictures and than I advertised it
  16. If Supercheap prices are anything like the were 12 months ago, it would still be cheaper buying from these guys: http://stores.ebay.com.au/Vic-Performance-Parts/_i.html?_nkw=fg&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=
  17. There is a 200+ page thread about the new Falcon on AFF. Couple of pics from that thread..
  18. On the new Falcon from the pictures seen they do light up. The driving light is the top part and reverse light under it. VF is the same I am pretty sure.
  19. Yea they definitely should not have, especially considering how catious I am with it. Still under warranty but considering the car is lowered, has bigger brakes and wheels I thought I'd save myself the excuses based on past experience with Ford warranty. I also feel better having done it myself
  20. Fitted new hubs/bearing to the FG last night, oem units packed in with 40000kms under their belt. If you have any strange grinding noises when turning or think your tyres are getting a bit noisy in your FG, check your front wheel bearings. See this thread for picture and videos: http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/88817-fg-front-wheel-bearings/
  21. So I fitted the new front hubs last night, was a pretty straight forward process as I already had the wheels and brakes off the car. I was not able to find much info here on FG front hubs/bearings so I'll post up some pictures for anyone who may be interested or have the same issues. Remove wheel, unbolt caliper from spindle and put to the side, remove brake rotor from hub and you are left with this. Remove the ABS sensor from rear of hub held in by single torx screw, remove the 3 15mm bolts that hold the hub to spindle and after a clean it should look something like the pic below. Removing the hub bolts was pretty easy with a 40cm breaker bar and deep 15mm socket, just needed to turn the wheel to give room to get to the bolts. The old and new hubs side by side. Replacement hubs are Repco part number RWH6130. New hub fitted up. I torqued the bolts up to 126Nm as per the suspension spec sheet linked in first post. Was a bit tricky getting a 50cm torque wrench in the wheel arch (doing it on garage floor) but enough room to tighten the bolts but turning the wheel which allowed access to all 3 bolts. As soon as I pulled out of the driveway and drove down the road there was less noise from the front even in a straight line, turned left at the end of my street and whisper quiet. Few laps around the block and all is good. Drive to work this morning the doing 100km/h on fwy and the car is defiantly a bit quieter so the old bearings would have been contributing to what I thought was all tyre noise. As couple of comparison videos.
  22. Almost identical. G6E does not have a cop chip!
