How about a series 1 VT GTS? I have seen a few of them for less then 25k. Also VT series 1 Senators for under 25k. Or even better get a nice clean Clubsport 195i for under 20k, get a nice exhaust, clean the heads up, nice big cam and it should go as good as the 220i. Other then them you would be looking at AU T series or an AUIII XR8. Good Luck!

That show is so $hit! They don't even mention the type of transmission the car had! From the interior shots you could tell it was the new ZF, but they said nothing about it!?!?!

Yeah it was ossy park, Im just wondering y its so much cheaper, awesome prices but just makes me worry y its so cheaps, like would they do a dodgey job? The guy that used to do all there custom work has gone out on his own now and he's the best I've seen. Personally I wouldnt get them to touch my car but to buy gear, they normally beat any price... Is the because of any experience with them? or just because they are cheap? I already have the gear I just need it installed. Cheers Mate, all installer give you life time warranty on their install jobs so if it stops working a year down the track and it’s due to a dodgy install they have to fix it. Also if you are not happy with the job when you go to pick the car up, don’t pay until they have made it spot on! One other thing about the price and this applies for pretty much anything! The reason why the others have give you a higher quote is most like because they don’t know what the hell they are doing so it is going to take them an extra 2 hours to figure out what they have to do, hence you have to pay more. Also the cheaper quote would indicate that because they have done them before they know the dash inside/out and can do the job a lot faster and hence the lesser cost to you. A good installer would only take about 3 hours to install the items that you have mentioned and $170 sounds about right to me. Anything more and you are getting ripped off! Simple!

I agree, 140km/h would be very dangerous in a kart for those who have never done any sort of open wheel track racing. We had enough carnage with carts that do 65km/h HAHA

The Cockburn Kartway Track is located on Gemma Road HENDERSON. It is 1070 metres long and 8 metres wide. It was used for the 1996 WA Karting State Titles. COCKBURN INTERNATIONAL KARTWAY

Ultra fast karts are pretty expensive! But I have been told that they are full on race karts and all. I recently went karting at Cockburn Kart Hire with a group of people and it was the best fun I had in ages! The track is a purpose built karting track and the carts go about 65km/h, which on a tight track was awesome fun. The track is about 1.1km long, we had 1x4 lap practice followed by 6x4 lap races. It was all under lights too. About 2 hours of great fun and all for $60.

I have never seen one myself, but is it a nut that is coming loose or is there a bolt that holds the turbo in?? If it is only a nut that sits on a stud that comes out of the manifold and through the Turbo flange, then why not put some lock-tight on there and then put another nut on after the first one if there is any thread left? That should keen the sucker there!

I got quoted $110 for one (Fairmont Ghia) fog light from Ford! Even worse is the black insert in the bottum of the bumper, $230!!

I hope this engine becomes an option in the BF Fairmont Ghia MkII mmmmmm

................ I don’t want to sound like a smart ass but you make a good point there mate!! My folks quit smoking (both smokers for over 20 years) and were going through a pack a day each!!! My dad said he has never felt better in his life, plus they are not burning money any more. Plus think about your long term health. Mate is you want to have a quick 1/4 mile car you are better of with an auto!

There is not a lot in it to be honest. One difference I could spot between my Fairmont and the XR6 is the paunchiness off the line (3.45 vs. 3.23 diff). But from about 40km/h you won’t spot the difference. This might sound weird but I think the higher gearing suits the NA engine better in the top end. This might explain why the XT is a bit quicker over 400m. I have seen a stock XT run a 15.23 at the Motorplex and on the same night a man XR6 did a best of 15.1x. From a rolling start (about 40km/h) I can stay a car length ahead of a stock 185kw VS Clubsport Auto until my car changed into 3rd, then the V8 starts to make ground slowly They go pretty good for a six! XR6NA, have you considered a Fairmont?? Much better equipped then a stock XR6 and you can save yourself a few thousand easy. Put that towards some wheels, tint, lowering etc! BTW if you are in Perth I know where you can get an immaculate Blue Pearl Fairmont with the bling for a bargain price! Good Luck!

As of Jan 1 06 Expensive Daewoo is going to use some new 6.0 litre V8 (not the LS2). I think its about 264kw in its base form. It had fly-by wire and DOD. Looks to be a lot better then the current LS1
