  2. They look sick mate! Where did you get them for $2300??
  3. Those times are not correct, they are for different cars. Both the Focus and Astra ran a 15.xx Motor stuffed up!

    New Ve Pics

The Calais V looks horn! The SS on the other hand looks shocking!! The Calais again has bigger tail lights then the base/SV6/SS models as was the case with the VY. Wonder what the base model will look like?

    BA Handbrake

Just to let you all know that the BA handbrake saga may have finally come to an end! On Friday I had my drive shaft seals replaced and in the process my handbrake was also fixed. I was told that 2 weeks ago for released a fix for the BA handbrake. My handbrake never worked and always used to make a scraping noise. The fix is a revised version of the handbrake spring mechanism that sits in the rear hubs. So far so good! The handbrake engages really nice and the car does not move what so even. Also the scraping noise has gone. Hopefully this is the end of handbrake adjustments!
  6. I am pretty sure those buttons light-up on the VY and VZ Holdens?? I can see where CV8Z is coming from, but then again I never look at the buttons when driving or using them. ......but it would be cool to have more things light-up at night
  7. Another candy type colour like Bionic! I recon it will look awesome
  8. Cheers for that!! I'll make sure I mention it to them ................so it seems that diff leaks are common in the BA?? Mine has done 80000km now. Other then that no other oil leaks what so ever, I had a look at the car while it was on a hoist not long ago and the engine and gearbox are very clean
  9. I just booked it in to get done this Friday by Ford. I got the price down to $400, that's 4 hours labour + 2 seals + diff oil. Considering they charge $85/hour for labour, it looks about right. As long as it gets done right it'll be happy!
  10. ............I was just reading your thread about the diff change! How much was the 3.46 LSD from wrecker? Yea car is out of warranty. Ford quoted me $480 to do both seals.
  11. My diff has been leaking for about 2 months. It would drip one drop per week and at the last ford service I was told that it was the left drive shaft seal that was leaking and it was recommended that both be changed. Anyway as of yesterday the diff has started to leak at a much higher rate and it getting pretty bad. I think the 3am run home fooked them How long would it take to remove both drive shafts and change the seals and reassemble everything?? I was given a quote by ford but to me it’s very high. Can anyone help?? Any WA sponsors please give me a quote on labour and 2 seals. Cheers
  12. Sounds like they are trying to rip you off! I payed $400 drive-in drive-out for supply and fit of Kings SL and SSL springs with a wheel alignment.
  13. This must be why Ford tell me that I might get some shudder after every service. But I never had much of a problem. Hey Steve I think your whole car is going to shudder soon by the looks of that thing you are building in your boot!
  14. Steve, in regards to the shadder I think you will find that it will go away after a couple of 100km driving. Every time I take my car in for service Ford tell me that the power searing might sudder for couple 100km because the car has been on the hoist. I noticed it a couple of times but it went away within a day or so! Something to do with the front wheels being off the ground and the power stearing pump need time to recycle the fluid through the system ........phuck knows My car used to knock when doing full-lock turns out of car parks and there was a TSB fix for that, mine got fixed a while back now.

    Go Aussies!

    What a game!! Bloody fantastic
  20. I also agree with comments that the F6 is worth the extra over a XR6T. But I think that warm_export is asking if it would be better to get a 33k XR6T + 20k mods = 53k or get a 53k F6 and leave it at that?? If you were to buy an F6 and just leave it stock then I find it hard to see how it could be better then an XR6T with 20k worth of mods?? On a side note, the 6 speed manual was only available in the MkII onwards (late 04). For a daily driver and one that would a lot faster, the auto is a much better choice over the manual. It takes a lot of power and good skill to get a manual into high 11s, on the other hand the auto do it with ease and with less power.
  21. Make sure to wipe your shoes first!
  22. Good stuff Steve! Where are you going to mount the amp??
  23. From your signiture "hpc headers", I take it your car is an NA and not Turbo?? Reason why it is not much louder is because the stock BA pipework is 2.5 inch already. The exhaust you got put on will have higher/free flowing mufflers and hence be a tad louder. Did you notice any power gains??
  24. The topic title does not really indicate what you want to do?? I don't think the EF boot is big enough to fit a BA XR6T into it
