  1. Looks great I sat in a manual FG XR8 and was very impressed. A much nicer cabin then my only BA and you feel like you are in a cockpit. The manual stick is a the ideal position and it feels 100 time better then the old BA/BF shifter. I am hanging out for my dealer to get some XR utes so I can go check them out.
  2. Mark, I am pretty sure that this is the same car that EGO is asking about. The BA is at Pickles also and has been there for a while now (I looked at it before I sold my Fairmont a few months ago). Is this the one you are refering to? Pickles Link Looking at the pictures, it has premium sound, tow bar, not rear parking sensors. Does not look like an ex-chaser at first glance, but I could be wrong.
  3. Well I for one sold my BA a little while ago with the intension of upgrading to "something" and the new Falcon was always high up on the list of possible cars. I sat on it for some time until final details were released along with better pictures etc. After everything I am now a very happy owner of a new Silver Zetec Mondeo sedan. I doubt that the FG will do any better then the BA did back in 02/03. Sales will pick up but they will not break any records I don't think. Also the new FG commercials are a joke. 45 seconds and you only see the car for about 15 of those 45 seconds. Very dull and boring like every other Ford commercial.

    Holy Crap!

I recall seeing this car on carsales.com.au about 3 months ago. It was going for a bit more then 23k back then. They may have dropped the price because it has been around for so long and its time to move it. From memory it was 28k. Car is located at a big auction house here in WA that that's most of their stock from over east, mostly ex gov cars, such as defense force, police, local gov etc. Like everyone has already said, get it checked before you buy. In reality if I was buying a Series 1 BA, I would not pay more then 22-23k no matter how low the kms were. This is a good buy and is priced just right I think. Good luck
  5. I will need some car windows tinted in the next 2 weeks. If anyone knows a good mobile window tinter in Perth can you please PM me the details. The person must be good and know what they are doing. Thanks.
  6. Yep that him. I working with him in local government a few years back.
  7. Sell your ute privately now for mid 20's and order a FG T ute for way less then RRP BF Tornado.
  8. Nice ute mate The VE ute is much better looking then the upcoming FG.
  9. I agree with the above post. But if I was you I would get a bigger hard drive. Go for a SATA 320GB just because you get much better $$ value, or even a 500GB drive. For what you want (like mentioned above), you can get a good PC for around $600-$700 that will last you for another 5 years.
  10. O.T. ............post a picture once you finish it
  11. The Evo looks great. I worked with a bloke a few years back called Scott that had a grey Evo2 or Evo3 and with a zorst and tune it ran very very low 12's. Very quick cars. ............good to hear you are enjoying it. I am yet to replace it, still bashing around in the little shopping trolley Fiesta
  12. Don't street race and stick to the speed limit
  13. Looks very nice Indicators on rear view mirrors are also a give away, they did not have them on the LS.
  14. I think it means that the item is part of the "Premium" or "Prestige" pack and O is option. Some items can be optioned individually or they come part of the prem pack. On the XR's I think the prem pack includes leather, premium sound, 19 inch wheels, bluetooth plus a couple of other things.

    Job Info!

Mate at the end of the day you do not live to work. If you think you will be more happy living in Perth then you have nothing to lose.
  16. The wheels on the yellow XR8 are the optional 19's. Both the XR6T and XR8 will come standard with 18 inch wheels, same design as the Focus XR5. Check the Ford website, all the cars are on there and all the specs are there too with options and colours etc.
  17. There are a few factors to take into consideration with evap AC. I know that reverse cycle is better and I agree that it will cool the house better and allow you to control the temp etc plus you can heat in winter too, but at a much higher cost. Running costs are the big killer. A reverse cycle unit is about 10 times more expensive to run per hour on a similar size house. Our power bills over summer go up about $15/month and my folks go up about $200/month (much bigger house with r/c). Also for a 200srm house evap will cost around $3500-$4000 installed vs about $7000-$8000 for reverse cycle. Stay away from the cheap reverse cycle units. Our place is 195sqm living and our unit is rated for a 220sqm house and with 8 outlets we never have it over 60% fan speed. Having high ceilings makes a huge difference as does good insulation. We have R3.5 bats and 32c ceilings throughout and people are amazed at how good our evap unit works, even on 40deg WA summer days. Our unit is Cool Breeze and it has not missed a beat.
  18. Remove stripes and lower it would look best IMO.
  19. Anyone seen this recent youtube video? PMuXqwpEjTE
  20. 1. Toast the bread and let it cool for a minute. 2. Spread smooth Kraft peanut butter. 3. Spread appricot jam over the peanut butter. 4. Enjoy!
  21. Saw a blue/green XR5 Mondeo today while out doing some shopping and I must say that it is a very nice bit of kit.
