  1. Buy a used (reset) xcal1 box (first CAPA flash tuner) and get a forum sponsor to tune if for you. You can get a used xcal for about $300, make sure the seller has set their car back to factory tune. Custom tune cost will depend on who tunes it for you and where you are located.
  2. What injectors do you have? Standard injectors are only good for about 250-260rwkw max. Standard fuel pump is good for high 200's. So if you put a set of 42lb injectors in you can go maybe about 280rwkw. High flow cat, xforce cat back, 42lb injectors, F6 or monza intercooler and you should get ~280-290rwkw with a custom tune.
  3. Cheers fellas. I shell tackle the gauges this weekend
  4. I had the same reaction to the 8psi tune. However I have not issues with gear changes, smooth as. However under load the changes are firmer but still nice. Imagine what 15psi is going to feel like I would say do not phark around with it too much and get a custom tune
  5. Thanks guys. I'll take the ICC out when I fit the gauges so I'll be able to put the sender inside the dash. What firewall hole are you guys using? the one on the passenger side? I am worried about the hose getting kinked but I guess if its ok for everyone else should be alright with mine too
  6. Hi, I am looking at installing my gauges and was going to place my boost sender/sensor under the bonnet. The instructions do not specify the best location. I seen a few installs and people have put the sender/sensor inside the cabin. I would have thought that keeping the vacuum line shorter would be better and hence why I was going to place the sensor under the bonnet and close to where I would splice into the BOV vacuum line. Any feedback appreciated. Cheers.
  7. Got for a 5" bodies 100 cell cat mate.
  8. Good stuff mate. Any pics of the Rapid kit installed?
  9. I am going to run the same setup with a Herrod cat back. Should be good for low 300's.
  10. Ford Service depart at their best. That is what you get for taking it to Ford. You pay full retail for Ford genuine parts and also $90+/hr for labor.

    Carpet In Tub?

Does the eBay stuff actually stop stuff from sliding about?
  13. Caltex would be a bad idea. It's almost impossile to get fuel there at time due to the number of cars in the servo n shops behind it. The only two car parks close are the spud shed or baldivis shops carpark.
  14. lukeyyyy, I am going to be getting a genuine set soon so it you want to sell the set you got coming let me know. Cheers
  15. Good time ahead mate. Nothing like getting flashed
  16. That is still very impressive power for so little boost, but it could also be the dyno reading a bit higher then the average. Those Rapid kits seem to be worth every $$$. You got a dyno graph you can post up?
  17. Hey mate, These are common from what I have read on here. When doing my plugs I also noticed that coil 1 and 2 had cracks in them, but mine were hairline cracks and not as bad as your. I also have the issue that you describe but it seems to be getting better for some reason. However my car does not have the smoothest idle and will miss and pop sometimes. My guess is coils or even stuffed injectors (all stock atm). I am going to replace my coils with a set of new genuine items before I get it tuned. You can get new genuine coils on ebay for under 200 for a set of 6. Over the counter price at ford spare parts is $50+ per coil depending on the dealer.

    Carpet In Tub?

I been thinking about doing the same, but have not goon to look at anything yet that could be used. Next time I am out I'll have to check clark rubber and burnings to see if they have anything that can be used. I was also thinking that rubber would be good, maybe something about 5mm thick so it wont lift and slide. How did your mate fix the marine carpet so that it does not move around? Does the marine carper have a rubber base?
  19. I just sold a set of original BA 18's with no rubber for $200. Every rim had gutter scrapes and scratches plus couple were peeling too.
  20. Hey mate, The stud pattern is 5x108. I have seen pics floating around with 20's fitted. In Europe they have a 20" version of the XR5 rim fitted. There are pictures of 19" fitted to an XR5 on the Speedy website.
  21. Good result. Looks to hold boost very nice and flat which is good to see. Have you done anything else to the exhaust apart from the cat back? Still running stock cat?
  22. Maximus, thanks for the info very helpful. Yea the generic kit is much better because the BA specific kit comes with brackets to mount the cooler in the drivers side behind the fog light and is no good for under batter intakes. We need more threads like this on here
  23. Did you do a phone order or is PWR close to you? That is bloody cheap for the HD kit. Cheers.
  24. Are FG plenums a straight bolt-on for earlier models?
