  1. Did this this to my ute long time ago. Ripped the whole interior out and dynamated everything and added extra insulation to the foot wells. Made a huge difference in reducing road noise.
  2. Bypass the radiator cooler is the best option. Running them inline you still run the risk of cooking up a milkshake when the radiator cooler fails. I also suggest you flush out the oil from radiator cooler, spray carby cleaner in the upper passage and flush with water, then plug it up with some bungs. This will ensure that if it ever does fail, you coolant will not mix with the tranny oil left in it and also will not leak. I got a oil temp gauge on mine and it runs at about 50 deg C on the open road, about 60-65 deg C in heavy traffic and I have never seen it go over 75 deg C when giving it a hard time. This is much cooler then it would be with the radiator cooler.
  3. X2's are still supported and work fine.
  4. stealthf6, I bet an exhaust shop told you that so that they could sell you a whole system. Get a Rapid 100cpi 5" body cat with 3" inlet/outlet, take it to an exhaust shop and they will cup out factory cat and weld in the new one. Do not drive the car around untuned!!
  5. The factory car is one of the biggest restrictions in the stock exhaust system. Putting a 100cell large body cat will allow your factory exhaust to flow a lot more and by removing center muffler or a twin 2.5" cat-back it will be good for 300rwkw+. You will need a retune if you replace the cat. Where are you located?
  6. WhiteXR, both ends are 2.5" because their piping kits are also 2.5" If you have 3" cold side piping, just get the 3">2.5" silicone reducer.
  7. My kit was missing some joiners too and I just used duct tape. If you have the pipes and cooler there just measure the OD of the pipes and this will tell you what size joiners you need to buy. The turbo hot side outlet is either 2" or 2.25".
  8. Technical info will be released in second week of March.
  9. I am pretty sure it is now called Outback Jack's or something. Mates were telling me about it and the 1kg steak challenge they have haha The only issue with a place like that on a Friday or Saturday night would be parking.
  10. Cheers for that XR09. Yea I'll most likely go a set of KU31's as well. How do they sit on the 8.5" rim? Got any side on pics? Cheers.
  11. Worm, I agree with regards there being FA difference between the two. I thought the 255 might sit a bit more square on a 8.5" rim. Now to find some decent prices locally. Made a few calls and nearly fell over when they gave me prices for KU31s
  12. XR09, all Ford rims are 8" wide and 245's fit up nice. The rims I am looking at are 8.5" wide and have a +33 offset vs the +36.5 Ford offset. According to my calculations I will have 3mm less inner clearance and 9mm less outer clearance.
  13. Is anyone running 255/35R19 or 265/30R19 tyres on 19x8.5" rims? 245/35R19 look to be the norm size. I was wondering if a 255/35 would work ok? 265/30 might be pushing it plus I would rather a taller tyres. Cheers.
  14. Great pictures Steve. I need to fix my exhaust! Pics from second half look great, great route all round. Spewing I could not stay to the end. We should do it again.
  15. What would the start time be if it was a Friday?
  16. As long as timing advance is higher then outside ambient temperature and fuel ron rating lower then humidity you got nothing to worry about. You can scream all day long
  17. +1 That screamer pipe is fkn loud, I think I was about 500m behind him and could hear it every time he got on it. Fly-bys were more impressive but. .........as for the Lotus, that's 147kw milk carton never really stood a chance Hats of to Luke and everyone else who was involved in planning this even
  18. I would say its the one closer to the casino? But I would have thought the other one would be a lot less crowded.
  19. We were supposed to have a thunderstorm this week so I would not put money on it raining on Sunday. Which road is unsealed?
  20. I might dust the dinosaur off and bring it out for a run. hiddeous, can you please PM the details. Cheers
  21. I just used normal Satin Black, $8 can from Bunnings and I gave the outside 2 good coats. No need for hit temp paint as it does not get very hot at all, all the heat is on the turbo/exhaust side. The rubber is just some U profile trim I got from Clark Rubber so that there the non metal on metal rubbing. The box does not move at it is fixed in two locations and very sturdy and solid.
  22. What about 245/40R18? Degreaser would be even better, it would clean everything when it does spray
  23. iotlek, PM sent. Call PER4MANZ turbochargers
  24. Best thing to do is measure the vertical distance between center of wheel and guard edge. From memory Kings Super Lows should be about 330mm and Lows are about 345mm.
  25. This car was tunned by Simon from XFT, there is a bigger thread about the car on FF. From what I have read the only hardware mod to this car is a Manta twin 3" catback exhaust and everything else is stock apart from the tune. Safe to say that the 6T's new bigger brother has grown some balls!
