  1. Fletty I agree with you regarding the Mk1 looking a bit dated next to a Mk2. But they still look good :-) For me it will come down to value for money and finding the right car for my set budget.
  2. Hi fletty, Love what you have done with this car so far. Can you please confirm if you are running SSL springs in the front and SSSL in the rear? Or is it the other way around? Also could you please post your centre of hub to guard measurement? Thanks
  3. Mike they look the same as normal BA/BF XR seats. I think the foams used in the bolsters may be a bit firmer thought. Over the past couple of weeks I've looked at a few BF Typhoons and FG XRs and the only difference is the bolsters felt a tad firmer but both are still soft imo. If you can get the full set with door trims they would be worth if just for the trim change alone.
  4. From the cars I looked at I am pretty sure this is correct. The Euro4 intercooler core looks to be the same size, the only difference with the Euro3 cars is the cast end tanks make the intercooler look much bigger. Core heights and thickness look to be identical when comparing two cars parked side by side.
  5. Hi Adrian, how is the GS going? Cheers for the info re the Mk2.
  6. LAZY6, these were being sold as used cars so I guess they can play dumb but to me it just looked suss. Was pretty surprised at how "used" they all were for 12 month old cars with such low kms. I'll keep looking as I am in no rush. May be better off with a privately owned car that has been looked after by someone who actually appreciates their car. Cheers
  7. I think you are on the money. Went and had a look at a few Mk2's today and all Nov or Dec 2011 build and first registered to FMC in Feb 2012. Dealer was oblivious to the situation when I questioned them. All seemed dodgy to me.
  8. I am pretty sure the plastic end tanks came with euro4 from about mid 2010 onwards. As did the restriction ring in dump pipe.
  9. Good point LAZY6. The Mk2's I am looking at are all ex-Ford so could well have been hail damaged. Any of you know what date the storm was? Cheers
  10. Yes they are a few of them around the $35k mark, hence why I said in my original post that there are some good prices around. Couple of decent 2011 Mk1's but they don't have premium sound, are a colour I am not interest in or are manual. ....... For those of you that say the Mk2 front looks wrong, have a look at Fletty's Mk2 or get some new glasses
  11. Haha all you Mk1 owners hating on Mk2 :-) As mentioned I like the look of the Mk2 front so no issue for me :-) .....mechanically there is no difference between the two?
  12. Hi all, any WA guys own a Mk2 FG? Any feedback on the new ICC and the projector headlights? Looking at getting back into a 6T and not sure if I should get a late (2011) Mk1 or go the Mk2. Cheers
  13. Want to get one that has at least another 18 months factory NCW so nothing older than mid 2010. Not as many for sale in WA and prices are a bit different to over east.
  14. CDR_078, where can I buy a 2011 Mk1 with under 20000kms for $23-25k? LAZY6, thanks for the info. Yes I do prefer the tech in the Mk2 over the Mk1. Only concern is the new 8" ICC had a lot of issues in the first batch of new Territories. Cheers
  15. Hi all, Time to get back into a T again. Looking at 2011 models with under 20000kms and some good buys out there. Quiet a few ex-Ford Mk2's at good prices. Any obvious reasons to go for Mk1 or Mk2? Both would be euro4 and I like the Mk2 nose. Not many Mk2 Ts on here so any feedback or comments from owners about the new ICC and projector headlights would be good. Thanks
  16. See here http://fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11347842 ............from there you can find all other posts and threads etc about the car.
  17. The previous owner of this car was/is pretty active on fordforums.com.au Not sure of username tought, but have seen post and pictures of it before.
  18. Hey Steve, I still lurk around here like a bad smell
  19. Steve post up a pick of what the intake filter looks like. When I pulled the OEM pump at 90k the filter looked like it sat at the bottom of the swan river for a year. Do you need the entire door trim? Looking at the above pic it looks like you just broke the plastic welds on the actual grab handle. Pretty easy fix if that is the case?
  20. I am with PAZZOnegger on this. Ford talked up the EcoLPI and finally after going on sale 6 months late it has done SFA for Falcon sales. Look at Falcon monthly sales for 2012, struggling to sell 1000 units per month. I am not doubting the EcoBoost concept but I think it wont do much for sales, they might get some extra fleet sales. At the end of the day people don't like the Falcon and to be honest the FG in XT trim looks pahrking terrible and the new Mk2 is no better. The G6 looks like it is aimed at pensioners, problem for for is pensioners don't go out and buy new cars ever 2 to 3 years.
  21. A 5 series is not exactly small. Makes those 19's look small though.
  22. Happy Birthday XtRmn8!

  23. Kyle, when I had the BA I went through the same process. The thing drove me insane with all the road noise, more just a constant drone from the rear, like tyre noise. I did the whole dynamat thing (went through 2 of them large boxes) and even installed some bitumen sound deadener on the floor and behind the rear seat. It helped a lot but it was still way too noisy for my likening. Here are some pics...
  24. It looks like they are back to $799 with free delivery. Awesome looking wheels. http://www.ebay.com....#ht_2691wt_1163 Silver version on an FG, looks nice and clean and tough.
  25. Mike, speak to Dejan. He has done a few of them.
