1. I tried both the 3.5" and 4" muffle delete pipes on a stock tune XR6T and there was definitely more lag. Also with stock boost noise increase was minimal. Tiny bit more induction noise but less flutter what you back off. I have an F6 intercooler and bigger pod style intake so already suffering increased lag due to pressure drop an stock tune. On a stock tune the oem pipe works best with smaller turbo IMO. Might be different once tuned.
2. fuelwatch.wa.gov.au will give a list of all servos currently selling E85.
3. +1 I picked up one of these from Repco when they had their 30% off store wide the other weekend. The 67EF is 620CCA compared to the factory battery which is 430CCA. Repco still have 20% off till the end of this month for auto club members.
4. That sucks Luke. I thought it was cheap when I saw it advertised and now I know why. Was an awesome colour n wheel combo.
5. Sounds like you guys had a very good day. Spewing that I had other commitments today :/ Is that the Octane BF Luke? That's crap that the seller was not honest with you from the start.
6. Yes a GTX3576r is definitely the proven and safe way to go.
7. This is the billet wheel upgrade I am referring to: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ford-FG-XR6-Turbo-Garrett-GT3576-MFS-Billet-15-MORE-Flow-Comp-Wheel-UPgrade-/261248407294?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3cd39e56fe&_uhb=1 I have not been able to find any discussions on this forum regarding the above billet wheel upgrade. And that is proably becase most would not bother with the 3576 and got straight to a 3582. I think that if it does offer the 15% increase as stated, it should boost the maximum power of the OEM GT3576 from about 320rwkw to about 360rwkw (with the right supporting mods). Its another option and probably a cheaper and easier exercise vs buying a new GTX3676 and having to reuse existing exhaust housing and actuator brackets etc.
8. +1 with above question. Also I see there is a 6 blade billet wheel upgrade for the GT3576r that is supposed to give 15% more flow. I am keen to know if the wheel upgrade will allow for about 350rwkw from oem turbo over having to go a GTX3576r?
9. That is just the pump and not the the entire cradle and pump?
10. Mate if XFT could not get it off without damaging the fuel lines, I think it is pretty safe to say that other places will not be able to get them off either without braking something int he process. Your best bet would be to get some new fuel lines from Ford (take heaps of lube) or see if you can get some from a wrecker. I would also suggest that you replace the in-tank filter or event better replace the pump and filter at the same time as doing the external filter, especially if your BA has done done a few kms.
11. Would be good if a moderator could clean it up? I edited the post and it phaaarked it haha
12. This may have been asked before but I am too lazy to search :| Does anyone know if the GT3576r MFS (Billet) wheel upgrades would be worth the effort? Would they give an improvement through the the rev range or is it just top end improvement? "http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ford-FG-XR6-Turbo-Garrett-GT3576-MFS-Billet-15-MORE-Flow-Comp-Wheel-UPgrade/261248407294?rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D261%26meid%3D110410914439409090%26pid%3D100005%26prg%3D1088%26rk%3D5%26rkt%3D5%26sd%3D221258976285%26">http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ford-FG-XR6-Turbo-Garrett-GT3576-MFS-Billet-15-MORE-Flow-Comp-Wheel-UPgrade/261248407294?rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D261%26meid%3D110410914439409090%26pid%3D100005%26prg%3D1088%26rk%3D5%26rkt%3D5%26sd%3D221258976285%26
For someone who is looking for 350rwkw (on 98) and wanting to retain the low down pull of the 3576 would it be better to: 1. Remove stock ;GT3576r and have the above wheel fitted plus stronger actuator and port job 2. Replace GT3576r or GTX3576r and mod the exhaust housing to suit with stronger actuator and port job Option 1 would obviously be about half the price of option 2. Cheers
13. Are the B and F series exhaust manifolds different? If they are the same would it not just bolt up and then a custom cat section would need to be fabricated to join the dump and F series cat-back? Or are the dumps are completely different? ..........looks like I got NFI from the above
14. +1 ........that sounds like a bargain. TOADS, got any cheap GTX3576Rs to offload? haha
15. That is soo cheap, considering a Venom bolt-in cat is $495. I did not realise a whole system can be bought for $990.
16. Ok thanks mate, I agree they do look very good and yes they are pretty common. Next big purchase for me I think will be a set of staggered wheels with some proper offesets
17. 40psi as well, running factory 19" Dunlops.
18. Probably ask them for a pick and posted price. I might be interested based on saving. Cheers
19. Hi MurdoK, what wheels do you have on your car? I am squinting at your avatar picture
20. The above work for those who will get the tuner to fit all of the gear to their car. In my case the only thing the tuner would supply and fit would be a set of injectors, an xcal3 and tune. I guess group buys would work ok for smaller items but in this case when you are talking about $1500+ intercooler kits, it would be pretty hard to get 10+ who are interested and would actually commit to buying when it comes to it.
21. If anyone is still looking for a cheap B series FPV intercooler, I just saw this on gt. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/perth-region/other-parts-accessories/intercooler-fpv-/1024195352#
22. Yes PW Stage 1 and Stage 2 are the same price. Stage 1 stepped intercooler is good for over 400rwkw as reported by PW in the sponsor section. Stage 2 requires cutting to fit, but will offer better cooling at higher power levels for those who are chasing bigger numbers. I would be interested in a stage 1 group buy because I do not want to do any cutting to my car and this kit will be more then enough for an FG with minimal mods and a tune. Cheers
