    I am keen to fit a full exhaust to mine before tune time as from what I have seen and been told there is a benefit in having the ability to make a lot more torque. This will require for me to pull the GT3576r and get a port, flapper and actuator done. While the turbo is off I would be happy to do the wheel upgrade for a bit more top end.

  4. Hey fgxr6t89, are you able to post any sound clips or videos? Did you get mild or stainless? Does teh 3.5" have dual or a single rear tip? I doubt a single 3.5" would be any louder then a twin 2.5". The 4" on the other hand would probably be a bit louder. Cheers

    I will go against the gran and say keep the little GT3576r. Port job, full exhaust, good intercooler, fuel system + e85.
  7. Haha nah mate this one wont be going to Simon. Its not my car but my brothers BA that he is trading on a new car, just trying to help him out before he has to get it towed. I'll have to go there and have a better look at it. The other night I just happened to have my scanner in the car so just checked for fault codes. Cheers
  8. Thanks Luke. I thought the same about oil light, too low revs for it to build any oil pressure. What about intake manifold to head? Is the upper/lower manifold gasket just a paper gasket like the tb to manifold? I will go over and check both as you suggested. Is there any way to test the crank angle sensor? Cheers
  9. Thanks for the info Luke. It is possible that it may have a vacum leak. It would have to be pretty serious leak for it to not start though? Also it would be on intake side as well? What are the most common places for these to leak? Intake manifold I would guess? Brother did mention oil light is on and stays on for a couple of seconds after cranking the engine. But was not on when it started to play up. Thanks

  11. Anyone seen fault code P1131 on a BA (petrol 6cly) before? Car started to develop a misfire and was not driven for a week. Now wont start, she cranks over spits and farts but wont fire. Fuel pump primes but is guess that does not rule it out. A faulty O2 sensor would not cause the car not to start would it? Also minor vacuum leaks would not cause it to not start would they? I am thinking crank angle sensor or no fuel. Any tips from the B series experts welcome. Cheers

  13. I did a write up a few years ago on how to fit an intank pump on a BA ute. The FG should be similar if you need to do it. Bit of stuffing around but can be done without removing tray or pulling the tank out.
  14. Thanks toads. Hopefully by the time I am ready to tune mine there are more e85 pumps SOR. Are you running the same or less boost on e85 compared to your 98 tune? Apart from extra peak number how does it compare to a 98 tune? Thanks

  16. I am well aware of the GT3576r limits. Having seen a number of tuned FG with oem turbo in place, the ones fitted with a full exhaust make a bucket load torque. MurdoK's car is a great example.
  17. Hi all, Keeping the stock GT3576R is there much benefit in going full exhaust versus just replacing the CAT with a bolt a proven in item? I am thinking a full xforce exhaust, 4" dump, 100cpi cat and 3.5" mild steel cat back. Mods are: PW Stage 1 cooler kit, Herrod intake, ID1000 injectors plus either cat only or full exhaust. What are the negatives of going full exhaust? Will boost control be an issue? The benefit of a full exhaust appears to be a bucket load more torque which is worth more to me then a high kw number. Cheers

    Epic effort mate. That is some serious power!! What exhaust are you running? Looking at your 302.4kw dyno sheet the torque increase is epic after the exhaust was fitted (black line). Cheers

  21. I vote gloss black Luke. But the silver looks good too as it breaks up the black. I am doing the same in mine but going from luxury pack flat grey icc and console to piano black. Mike did a mint job painting some exterior bits for me so I will get him to do interior trim too.
