  1. Mate search for the FG creaking seat thread. I recently posted some info and pictures. I thought mine was cracked too but turned out to be loose bolts.
  2. Haha thanks for the tips. I am sure there will be a lot of sleepless nights.
  3. Where is the video of Arron chopping the F430? Mikes XR looks bloody nice!!
  4. Nursery furniture finally arrived 16 weeks after we bought and paid for it all, so finally picked it all up earlier today. Spent the evening putting it all together with the old man. The Mrs has already decked it our with all the linen and decorations we bought. Got a mountain of boxes, wrapping and styrofoam to take to the tip tomorrow haha
  5. Spewing I won't be able to make this. Could possibly do the CC to Cott leg but would have to bail early :| Steve (plus anyone else who is attending and not familiar with the area) just keep in mind that CC (Gateways) is a phaarking nightmare on weekends and due to the expansions works going on its very very busy on weekends, so parking may be an issue. An alternative would be to meet on the other side of the freeway as there is heaps of parking around the new Bunnings and it is generally quieter. Or a third option is the industrial area around the new SpudShed near Jandakot airport.
  6. Steve, the Kwinana is normally a car park around lunchtime on a Saturday heading north near CC. If you want to hit the coast my suggestion is head south from CC along the Fwy to a) Russell and head towards Cockburn Rd and into Freo. b) Rowley and then cut through Wattelup to Alcoa and than up the coast to Freo along Cockburn Rd. Hardly any lights and a lot less traffic.
  7. Defiantly not that square on a 8.5" rim. Does help with clearance on a 20" rim though. I measure the thread face on the ATR2 and my front 245s came in at approx 235mm. The rears which are 275s come in just under 265mm.
  8. Started out by pulling passenger door trim off to find a rattle that been there for 2 years, which should have been a 30min fix and ended up in the garage for 6 hours. Ended up doing the following: - Pulled all door trims off and addressed some common FG build quality issues when it comes for poorly assembled door trims that results in rattle and squeaks. (there is a good thread in the AFF FG section about this) - While I was at it, called the missed who was out to swing past Jaycar and grab me a few packs of sounds deadening. Installed sound deadener to inside of all 4 door skins. - Had a set of front and rear Pioneer speakers I impulse bought many moons ago that have been sitting in boxes collecting dust, so whipped up some MDF spacers and fitted them up. Put the car back together and after lunch, though while I was at it I would take my wheels off to clean and inspect them and also re-bleed the brakes. After fitting the upgraded brakes over xmas I was not 100% convinced the one man bleed kit I used was that great. So off came the back wheels for a thorough clean and bleed the rears using the trusty old two man bleed method. Bled about 200ml of fluid through each rear caliper and both had small amounts of air in the lines. Repeated the process at the front and only the passenger inner nipple showed a few very small air bubbles. Bleed another 200ml though each front Brembo caliper and put is all back together. 6 hours later took it for a drive and good results all round. Doors feel a sh!tload more solid and no more rattles in the door trims plus there is less road noise in the car. The Pioneer 2ways that replaced the factory premium Pioneer paper speakers sound a lot better too. A lot more clarity and do not distort like the factory speakers did. Brakes feel better too and I just better knowing that they have been done properly ............good days work in the garage while it pissed down outside all day.
  9. ^^^ .......pay more attention to traffic signs and less on car stickers. The camera that got you is between South Terrace and Canning Highway. Been there for years.
  10. Steve, what profile do the B series run from factory on 18" rim? The 255/35 is about 20mm smaller in diameter compared to the 245/40. The ATR2's are pretty good and I am pretty happy with mine thus far.
  11. Just curious to know if anyone has any experiance with applying alcantara to interior trim panels? Some FG (and posibly B series) FPV models have the lower section of the door trims and sides of center console done from factory in what looks like alcantara.
  12. Yea same mate, used one of the bleed kits and not convinced. Will resort baxk to old school 2 man method.
  13. Yea I have to do the same I think Do you have a helper or do you use a bleeding kit of some sort?
  14. ^^^ Not a fan of the rear wing on hatch, but otherwise do like!
  15. Bled or re-bled them? I am going to redo mine as I am paraniod I did not get 100% of the air out when fitting them.
  16. Arron, take photo in wide screen next time
  17. Police doing their job, nothing wrong with that.
  18. Talking about sound dedening and rattle fixing brings back memories of the old ute. Whole interior out and and two extreme bulk packs of Dynamay later, she was a lot quiter and rattle free
  19. I was just looking at the Jaycar site and never knew they have 3 different products. So you use the Butyl and put the foam on top? I notice they have one that has the Butyl with foam over the top already: http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=AX3689&form=CAT2&SUBCATID=1030#4 Top of my door trims creak whan I lean my arm on them. Might have to pull them off to see if I can stuff some of thus stuff under there to stop them flexing. Also a few other rattles coming from around the speaker grilles.
  20. Mick, I should give you my car for the weekend to sort out the rattles haha! Is that Response stuff any good inside the doors to fix door trim squeeks and rattles? cheers
  21. Yea mate I am all good with the 35mm nuts. I'll have a chat to some mates tomorrow. Might be time to bypass the man in the middle and go straight to the manufacturer on this one.
  22. Yea very happy with them No issue with stud clerance either, both front and rear studs only protruded about 25mm (+/- 1mm).
  23. Black nut upgrade done. Feels like at least a 10-15rwkw gain. Front before and after: Rear before and after:
