  1. I have a dyno dynamics dyno with the latest shootout software. There are specific shootout modes for specific engines. Yes there is a shoot_6F Ramp rate 151 Inertia 100kg I run everything in a shootout mode. I setup the same every time regardless. No one can say "you did it wrong".
  2. I bought the FPV pedals off Ebay. Delivered 2 days later, I paid $165. Accelerator pedal you pull down and off the metal arm, slip the new one on and give it a sharp tap to lock in. Brake and clutch slip on, drill hole, fit bolt and nut. Looks great. Bit uncomfortable if you are only wearing socks or bare feet though.
  3. My pipes paint has also flaked off. I am after another to get striped and repaint or polish.
  4. Hi guys, My name is Mark, I work at MRC Dyno Services and Performance. I didn't start any forum threads about exhausts. People who were at the workshop when I tried a new exhaust did. In hindsight I would have said not to post at all. The system was fitted to an XR6 Turbo ute, manual, with 4000km on the clock. We didn't know how much power we were going to make with this exhaust. To be honest, we were replacing the exhaust to compliment the other mods we did on the same day. Tsi, injectors, plugs, fuel pump and K&N. Yes even we were amazed at the increase. The stock car ran 199kw in shoot 8_1. We were told by DynoSteve to run in this mode for all our testing. The vehicle was then fitted with the mentioned exhaust and dump. The vehicle then made 243kw, boost was higher, especially where peak power was made. Boost limit was not hit on the dyno. The vehicle was then fitted with a TSI, injectors, fuel pump, spark plugs and a K&N. The vehilce is now making a reliable 330kw at the wheels untill further mods are untaken. We are not here to make you believe us, but rather tell you that we found an exhaust that impressed us and we would like you to know about it. In my opinion a high mile vehicle would make less power increase as the valve springs seem to get weaker over time resulting in power drop off in the top end of the rev range. I have ordered 4 sets of springs for the last 4 modified cars I have tuned. The exhaust price is $2500 plus freight from Queensland approx.$120. 3.5in non turbulance dump pipe, 3.5in modified cat convertor, 3.5in stainless pipework, polished stainless muffler whatever tips you want. These systems are made to order only. This has been the only time I have responded to the exhaust thread. I am happy to fit the exhaust to a car, but the system is expensive and I am not financial enought to stock sedan and ute exhausts that fit XR6's only as I work on all makes and models of cars. If you would like to order one then I will it free of charge for the testing procedure and spend time dyno testing before and after free of charge. Normal fitting cost 3 hours labour $231 + before dyno power run $77 + after dyno power run $77. Total $385. I am sure that I will get a lot of replys that are not positive. I am hear to offer an alternative that did show a power gain higher than I have seen before. I will also be testing another exhaust system from another supplier that comprises a 4in dump pipe with 4in cat, 3.5in cat back system and see how it compares also. I did not make either system rather testing them only. Hope to see more XR6's at this weekends dyno day. There are 6 XR6-T's already booked and deposit taken.
  5. Hi Guys, The tyre pressures of all cars tested are inflated to 50psi in accordance to Dyno Dynamics Shootout specifications, also the strapping procedure, inlet air temp placement and front wheel chocks being placed 1in forward of tyres. Atmospheric factors are entered when each car is run. Bonnets are closed. Several runs are performed to stabilise temperatures. All manual cars are run in 4th gear, all auto cars are run in 3rd. Dyno is calibrated and has latest software updates.
