  1. I also have been having a massive dilema when it comes to manual vs atuo, and have done a lot of research of peoples opinions on the matter, and the bottom line is that the auto makes for better car, better performance, smoother, easier to drive, its basically better in everyway, except one which is FUN and pleasure to drive. So it depends how much you value that. I personally do a lot because its the main reason I want a car like this, so after being convinced of wanting an auto now I am set on a manual.
  2. If you prefer the look of the BF then I would get one because surely appearance is arguably the most imporant thing for chosing a car, or at least equal? a nicer interior does not out weight that in a million years for me.
  3. Guys, what do you think is a fair price for a BF F6 and Mk2? I have seen a few good ones on car sales, with low km's 60,000 etc for 32-35k, which seems a bit much. Would you pay 30k+ for one?
  4. I dont get this thread. Selling a car you love for the sake of some tax dollars because your accountant told you? Silly reason to sell a car imo. Just buy something you love, drive it and enjoy it and stop being so obsessed with a buck, Geez.
  5. I think the BF's look far better and tougher, than the FG, which looks like a sales mans car or something. Wouldnt buy an FG even if was cheaper.
  6. So in other words if I want the 19 inch twists I have to get a mk2, unless I buy them seperate. Bit of a bummber because those are the wheels I want.:( thanks.
  7. Did only the mk2s have the option of 19s? because I dont think ive seen a mk1 with them.
  8. Hey folks, just wonder if someone could tell me the difference. Thanks.
  9. In terms of performance and drivability id say the T is a Sti killer. To get the performance out of them you have to launch hard, rev them hard and generally thrash them and even then they are barely faster than a stock T, slight advantage from a standing start but probably weaker in terms of pure acceleration. Tweak the T a little and its no contest. One thing that appeals to me is the novelty of a large family sedan being able to perform so hard as opposed to a sporty little buzz box.
  10. So your phoon WAS faster than your 330kw GT but now its suddenly lost so much power than its no better than an XT? You make no sense and have zero credibility. Engines dont lose massive power like that unless they have SERIOUS problems. Should get it checked out mate

    Rev Limiter

Whats the use of reving it that hard when you will just go slower? You have cubes and turbo, not a rotary so you shouldnt be concerned about hgh revs especially when its past its peak at that stage.
  12. Do you understand that for a 240kw car to make 215kw at the wheels it would only be losing 10% through the drive train? The average is 25- 30% which is inline with the typhoons 200 KW at the wheels. Be realistic cro.You getting carried away with these dynos like most people. I dont understand all the fuss about these dyno results on stock cars anyway. We already KNOW what they make at the flywheel from the factory figures, and although it might be enjoyable to trumpet around your own personal Rwkw its all irrelavent in my book and the variations we see between stock vehicles are down to different dyno and testing conditions.
  13. I like your wheels. The simmons FR's have always been my fav, although I would of thought they would be out of "fashion" by now since they have been around for so long. Their beauty is in their simplicity.

    Which Is Quicker?

Motor magazine said that the new 6 speed allows you to reach 100kph in second gear, something that couldnt be done with the 5 speed. If this is true it would make a difference in the 0-100 dash. I find it hard to beleive you need 3 gears to get to 100kph though.
