If your after and auto try stretch for a BF with the ZF 6 speed auto. Its actually a radiator related fault that occurrs with them. Ive heard of it happening half a dozen times

With my fg the only issue ive had so far is was my ipod was not working with the car. Im averaging 10.7l/100. I have a little wind noise from my right mirror but that will be sorted when I could be bothered taking it in for warranty. As for the premo sound. I was disappointed when I first bought the car. Spent a bit of time adjusting the settings and now im verry happy with it. Yes I know it will never be as good as a custom stereo but for me it does the job. Its very easy to use an ipod with the stereo. Just about to tick over 45k and everything else has been great

Tiptronic. I didnt like it when I drove one. It never felt like it was in the right gear and felt like it was constantly hunting if you know what I mean. I did however find the kick down in the auto to be awesome. Hit the pedal then whack.

Just drive both the auto then manual back to back if you can. I personally prefer the manual but as you will find out later a lot of the members here prefer the 6 speed auto. Yes I do realise you dont like them but if your shelling out that sort of coin it isnt gonna hurt. As far as the air bags. The sedans come standard with 4 air bags. One in each front seat and the one in the wheel and dash. You can also option (if buying new) the extra two that deploy from the B-pillars just above the seat belts. Look to try and get the premium sound. It comes with the colour screen and Ipod bits. Its very easy to use your ipod from the sound systems in these cars. Some people dont think its worth it but for me, im very happy with it. I think you get 7 speaker as opposed to 4. Yep they both have 270kw but what makes the turbo falcon feel quicker is how the torque is delivered. From 1800rpm you have 80% of its max torque and at 2000 you have the complete 533NM of it. As far as mods. members have seen as high as 290 Rear wheel KW just from a tune. To that takes the actual motor out put in KW's to well in the mid 300KW's They are also pretty good on fuel and im averaging 10.8 l/100. Its been down as low as 10.1. On a trip other members have returned averages of 9L/100 Mine is only standard at the moment and yet it still brings a smile to my face when I give it a hit. As for reliability all cars have problems. My Ba turbo went back for warranty numerous times. But now with the FG I have only been back once for an I pod related software update for the premo sound. Hope this helps

Yeah it will void generally anything to do with the drive line. Motor gearbox etc So if I were you id be going over the car to find anything that may be nackered that would need changing. Get your local mechanic to check if the rear diff bush is stuffed. If it is ford will replace under warranty

Natural progression

We must not forget that its not a new series ie FG MkII. Esentually its a mid model upgrade. Its kinda like the I6 going to euro 4 (or what ever it is ) emissions. Ford/Fpv may well be waiting for FG MkII to up the anti. It may not be the increase in power we were all after but the GT has lost weight and gained a sh!t load of torque down lower in the rev range.
