If you want to have a look at this process pull off the plastic pipe at the inlet of the turbo and dis connect it from the cross over. Start the car let it idle and then turn it off. The turbo will keep spinning for between 30 and 60 seconds

You might be better off buying one. For $200 or so of ebay they're not a bad investment

It still sucks that they still have the stigma as a fuel guzzling vehicle. For the weight of the things VS the fuel they use they're bloody terrific. Brand aside if half the the drivers that drove other brands drove the FG there would be more people driving them. Yep the FG isnt perfect but dollar for dollar its a damn good car. I still dont understand why they get bagged so badly for build quality. I have almost 60k on mine now and other than a few very minor things it has trouble free. Best car I have owner that's for sure. If ford/Falcon goes to a FWD platform then the FG wont be leaving my driveway

Ive found that 7 litres is too much. Shows full for me using 6 litres.
