  1. That sounds alright I've been up on consumption (now at 17ish) and now have an erratic idle since I got an Edit - but I cant complain with the power. I figured that was a bit of a trade off What PSI is the 264 at?

    Eratic Idle

My idle was perfect, then I got an Edit. He asked if I had an idle problem, to which I answered 'No'. He said I'll up the idle speed anyway - that's the way we cure the eratic idles. Now I get a hunting idle which doesn't seem to cause any dramas its just a pain in the Any ideas?
  3. Here's one that was doing the rounds ages ago when Niki Webster did a shoot in one of the above mentioned mags
  4. I wouldn't be so much worried about looking for them, I'd be worried if I found this guy lined up next to me at the lights. Lucky its not in Vic, but we just have to be careful and not do anything stupid on the roads.
  5. Man they put some wierd stuff on ebay - like all those alteza lights. But in amongst it all there are some goodies to be had (IMHO the lighter isn't a goodie )
  6. When I did mine I removed the solenoid and its little mounting plate from the chasis. It was only connected by one screw that I needed a massive screwdriver or ratchet extension to remove it - made life much easier then I got to remove the clamp and hose from a much more accessable position.
  7. Yep it sucks - I got a high pressure cleaner for chrissy (knowing that I would only have a week of use on the car - but I still wanted one). Its going to kill me - I might have to find one of those brushless ones. At least we are allowed to wash the windscreen and headlights
  8. I installed the 8" JBL and didn't have any dramas with the parcel shelf fitting back on. How much is it missing by?
  9. Just take it to an auto trimmer. I'm sure they will be able to do something, I have a few mates that have had the bolsters re-shaped and firmed up. I'm sure they can do something for you situation easily. Ps - If all the other offers fall through - I'll trad My XR sports leather
  10. Yeah you are right the Rears wont fit into the fronts - I took a pics from the old BA grab handles with the rear inserts in the front handle. The rears are the same from BF and BA though btw I used a dremel to remove the BA ones - I had a better time using that than my soldering iron.
  11. Yeah I put mine on a few weeks ago - couldn't be happier BF ones a sooo much better (besides the looks) because they have the little hole on the underside to pop of the silver panel. Much better than the BA way of using a flat screwdriver on the top side.
  12. For prices that aren't that bad check out : MYC I've got a few things from them before and haven't been dissapointed
  13. Get a sunroof for sure! As stated before it lowers the height of the interior roof lining - my hair touches the roof (dependig on how long it is at the time!) but I couldn't live without it. As for the statement that it weakens the rook strucutre - I'm sure I was reading somewhere that the roof is actually stronger when fitted with a sunny?!?
  14. Depending on the type of output from the DVD player you may need to also purchase a convertor that plugs in between your ICC and DVD Player to convert the signal from S Video (DVD) to RGB (ICC)
  15. Yeah as AUMatt said its a different colour. Its a pain in the bum because its a different colour to everything else on the dash - at least if it was the same as something it might not look so bad. I think I just get a guage pod for mine (from one of th ppl on here) and the color doesn't look too bad.
  16. For those wondering about the legalities - here is an extract from Vicroads
  17. I've had a Pre Purchase inspection on my last few cars. Main reason is for that tiny bit of money (relative to the cost of the car) it is good to get a second opinion and I always get a compression test done by them too. Some of them offer a waranty for major component failure too (from memory) Wheh I got my T I rang RACV and they wouldn't do an on-site inspection because of the type of car it is. They needed it for an entire day and it has to be taken to one of ther centres. The main reason I was inquring with them was because I was hours from the car
  18. He's a member here too ← Hey! I hadn't seen you post on here (even though you have 150+ posts ), yes well bob^ was very helpful on the wiring side (esp the ICC bit). Lots of thanks from me :w00t:
  19. Not as far as I know, but if it does it will make the job easier for people in the future In reality it wouldn't fit. The upper and lower components (roof and floor for want of better words) slope inwards and the actual unit wouldn't therefore fit in the tissue box holder. With some modification you probably could - but not worth it IMHO. My advise would be, to do something similar to what I have done and re-mount the 12volt charger onto it - moving the HU to one side.
  20. Removing the tissue box holder I fabricated a fascia and used 4 screws to hold it in place Pretty much the final setup - it shows the momentry overlay when ICC controls are used whilst the DVD is in action All this and not a single wire was cut for the installation!
  21. Dummied up in position - the colours of the unit match quite well with the factory stuff :
  22. Well guys, I have (with some technical help on the ICC wiring side from a very helpful member of CAA) installed my DVD player on my BA Mkii XR6T. I used the following : Alpine DVE 5207 S Video to RGB convertor 236 from www.carconverters.com.au. Toyota female HU plug I'll through up a few pics to give you guys an idea of what I have done - although its not the 'be all and end all' I'm very happy with the result.

    90,000km Service

I've been wondering where to take mine too as well? I'm past the 30k service which has been done (by the previous owner) and I need to take it in for some warranty work. I've got a realy wierd and abnormal shift between from 3->4 and have been wondering which is the best place to go and I'm in the same area. I had thought New Oak but I'm kinda off that idea now ?
  24. I was attempting to get some info from the Alpine website but its USELESS.... I was/am keen to check one out but they could at least put some specs on their site. I'd be interested to see if anyone has one on here?
  25. Your damn right GreenXR6T - first thing I did was to go out and check my baby. I am pleased to report that there was no dramas in any of the spots mentioned by XXXR6T. I figured that would be the case considering I'm quite picky when it comes to noticing these things. I'm glad to hear that ford are going to cover it - it would be interesting to see how they go about it though.....
