Yeah, I noticed the same thing - kind of by accident on my BA.. Took it all apart, put it back together and Its all sweet.... Maybe I'll just check again in the morning Same thing used to happen on my EF too

that's great news that you got them replaced.... On the SP3000's isn't that why they switched to using SP3000A's - because of all the dramas they were having? Or are they just the same thing?

Love the fantasy - still not a colour that you see every day so it has a kind of mystery surrounding it.... As for the wheels - I personally dont like the chrome look - but that's just me

MarkII got the Auto On/Off Lights too... that's about it (oh.. and the different alloys)

That's quite freaky - I was driving home looking at my roof last night thinking... Why the hell are they green when everything else is blue. Could you do it for a price if I sent my switch across, I'm handly with a soldering iron, but not that handy - take it to PM if you like

Thanks Shock, I actualy went to buy the Type S's but the guy didn't have them in stock and he asked what they were for. I told him they were for a BA and he said they have to space them 10mm out to mak them fit (due to mounting depth issues) Did the Type R's fit in the factory spots without any modification?

Hey guys, I have done some searching through all the various threads on here and all the audio manafacture sites but want to get the consolidated opinions of people here. What splits have you used in the front stage of your BA/BF?[/ How easily did they fit ?(Both Woofer and Tweeter), Mounting depth etc.. I'd prefer an easy replacement of the factory ones that's why I am looking at component 5x7 sets. I'm past the stage in my life where I have the time to make MDF spaces and Fibreglass A Pillar mounts etc. Thanks!

It's always better to get a later model if the finances can do it - at least the car will be newer with less chance for wear and tear. However that being said - I have a BA Mkii and I still have had brake shudder and the low speed shudder - no handbrake problem though... Both fixed under waranty (a warranty is something that BA Mki will be less likely to have - keep it in your mind I suppose)

Definately no real foot rest. On the leather topic - I dont think it comes on the console lid and handbrake cover in XR's. I've got sports leather and it doesn't have it there?

Yep, I have always used graphite powder, but as stated used it sparingly becacuse it goes everywhere.

Yeah that dep'n sounds about right to me. XR's out of the Ford family usually are one of the best models when it comes to a depcreciation percentage. However when comparing the two cars I would say that they are quite different beasts and it just depends on what you want? I like the Force 6 idea that was mentioned before by Chooka - best of both worlds!

I got the Edit done at XTC a few months ago..... I'd figured 2700ish was too high, I was looking for opinions on the 1700ish on stock tune. I'll have a chat to the this week. Thanks for your help guys

I'll third that - you could have blown a fuse or wired it incorrectly. that's the first place I'd be looking

Hey Spruce, Where did you get the 10W40 from? I was going to use that last time but couldn't find it in any of my normal shops. And for what its worth, I used to use Nulon Performance Engine Treatment in my XE and it seamed to make the engine run much more smoothly and quietly. Dont know if it had any actual friction reducing benefits but it seamed a lot nicer running

Hey Guys, On startup of the T (auto BAii), turn the key and the revs rise to 1700RPM ish - Stock. With my Edit, same procedure but it will rise to about 2700RPM before dropping back to normal. Now I have a few questions, What does everyone elses do? Is that normal (ok) stock? Is that normal (ok) with the Edit? Thanks guys.

that's the most horrible thought I can have!! Although on a similar topic I'm waiting for the day I find a movie (most likely on u tube) of one of my mates - I've got a few dodgy ones who I'm sure would do it.

As Crans said - vga output (NTSC) is what the ICC needs. You'd just need to wire up the input to go to the ICC screen input (no hard job - it has to be done when you are installing a DVD player or the likes). Then you'd have plug the audio into the normal Aux input, figure out how to power it and away you go.

Hell yeah it will be better on fuel - I used 2/3 the amount (in my 200SX) I do now for the same distance! I came from an XE 4.0 -> EF 5.0 -> 200SX 2.0T -> BAII XR6T 4.0T and the Nissan had by far the better fuel economy and handling/response than my XR. Dont get me wrong but the XR is a family car dressed up as a sports car, Edit or not (I have one) the mods on a SR20DET will be more benefical especially comparing how much they weigh! A change is a bit of fun I'm sure - I've only strayed from the Blue Oval once in my 8 years of driving - so I'm sure you will be back.

I'm assuming you have an Edit if you are running 265rwkw so wouldn't the tuner removed the Speed Limit? I thought they all pretty much removed the limit as a part of their normal process I was told mine was removed - allthough I haven't tested it out
