As a few of you know from my previous post last week I have blown my t5 gearbox in my BA Turbo I need a replacement fast need the car on road again im from western sydney any one know where I can get a 6 speed or beefed up 5 speed from??

Pre warned this is an essay haha --Ok I was driving the other day, I set off from the lights driving normal and went from 1st, 2nd then going into 3rd it crunched and then boom! I pulled it out of 3rd and my gearbox sounded like an empty milo tin with rocks in it haha I tried going back into 3rd and im pretty sure I have either sheered off quite a number of teeth but the thing is f**ked big time I limped it back home and there it has been sitting for a week now and right at xmas :( quite sad because funnily enough I wasnt doing anything stupid when I broke it but I think its been the 2years of thrashing before hand that has worn it down, though when I bought it 2 years ago the input shaft bearing was noisy so I knew it would blow up but anyway I have still yet to wait for the gearbox place to open up from there god damn holidays to get the car into get looked at however I need to know what I would be looking at for replacing 3rd gear 2nd gear synchro and input shaft bearing( that's pretty much what I think is wrong with it from driving it just will wait and see what they say) but I know the 5speeds are rated at about 300rwkw I want to end up having 350rwkw (currently at about 300rwkw now) but I want to know if the t5 5speed can be beefed up to take this abuse?? I dont really want to go to the more expensive t56 6speed though??

ok I have this annoying prob with my 03 xr6 turbo, engine light is coming on and car go's into limp mode randomly when driving it, I have taken it to the auto elecs and they said its the accelerator pedal fault they called ford and told me a quote of 650 to supply and fit. I dont want to pay this. I would rather get a pedal myself and I want to know if anyone has replaced the pedal and if anyone can tell me how to get the pedal out of the car without too much hassle or a workshop manual to post thanks

BA turbo sedan, im redoing the parcel tray and putting 4 speakers in it. I want to replace the 5x7 with 6x9s and run the 6x9s and 2 subs with an amp and have the other 2 speakers next to 6x9s which run from standard head unit can this be done??? will sound come out of 6x9s which are running from aftermarket amp?? and still have standard xr amp running speakers?

so the sensor gets put into the cold side and the hose runs from sensor to piping too??

I have replaced intercooler with hybrid unit piping included and the map sensor that was in the stock cooler pipe which ran under the battery, does that need to go back onto pipe work?? and if so which pipe ( cold or hot side) and at the top of the sensor it has a hose connector where does the hose plug into??

Its happened a few times now the first time I had done a decent skid and after cruising for a bit the engine light come on for a few seconds then went away and done this twice and was still driving good a few days later the next time the engine light come on it stayed on and I was just driving normal this time and the car then seemed to be in limp mode and didnt want to rev and was mis firing massivly and when I switched motor it off I started it and was normal its done the limp mode thing to me twice now I have done a bit of work to it, it has been flashed and mods include 3" intake behind headlight front mount bov bigger injectors and is running a 10psi tune it still has factory exhaust centre muffler removed the car has not been retuned with these mods I am doing a full exhaust soon the cat was rattling but not anymore though so it might be blocked slightly I was thinking it might be the 02 sensor getting heated up due to the cat blockage and causing it to get into limp mode but any help would be greatly appreciated

I got a 03 XR6 Turbo I bought it with a flash 1, bigger injectors, and cold air intake from this I put exhaust front mount and the proper rapids under battery cai its been too much for it and has started to Ping (detonate) when I floor it it was on 12 PSI but have Flashed it back to 10 PSI cause I dont want my motor going bang it seems great on the 10 PSI tune but seems a bit slow for my liking I need a place to retune the flash tuner 1

Thanks for the replies it was a bit of a bitch trying to fit it in there the kit is good and what I wanted for being a clean fit with no welds on the pipes but the cold side runs above the exhaust manifold and had a bit of trouble fitting the core as its 100mm thick and just fits in the front im going to get the pipes powder coated black so it blends into the engine bay a bit and so it doesnt get heat soaked by the exhaust manifold but in my first reply I did say I fitted the under battery pipe from rapid which I did after a few days from fitting the cooler I will post up some pics of it very soon

This is my new front mount that I fitted its heaps good very happy with it after I fitted it I got rapids under battery intake (Thanks Chris- from rapid) will get some pics of that

Hey all went to Auto barn the other day they can get a Blitz Intercooler Kit core and piping for $550 its for an 03 xr6 T... Has anyone used this??? would I be wasting my money??? Does it sound like a good deal?? also if anyone does use this Kit could you post a Pic for me to see how the core sits (to one side or centre) and the piping??? Cheers for the help

Wondering if I can take off those plates that are behind the wheels which sit in between rim and disc?? on a BA xr6 Turbo... do they have a purpose could be sorta a rock deflector not sure any advice would be appreciated.

Got a 2003 XR6 Turbo manual over a week ago come with CAI Flash tune 12psi centre muffler removed bigger injectors and ever since I got it it has a weird idle the needle go's up and down and listening to exhaust it sounds like it misfires every few seconds still go's like the clappers very happy with it the previous owner had all the work done through AutoTech he said it was to do with what was done to the tune Is This True???? I have owned done up cars before and had similar probs with idle after tune Need Help Note: car has 276.8rwkw this idle prob is when warmed up btw
