  5. Sad but true, I need a Nitrous controler to bleed the Nos out so the clutch dosn't get the shock of its life. On the bright side I rather cook my clutch than a pop the gear box. Dyno works no problem and its awsome on a track day, but the set up as it stands today is not set up for the 400m dash. May knock it back to a 50 or 75 shot that would help a lot. Ive only done flat 15-second passes off Nos, after tuning now with 14 rwkw extra thanks to C&V last week, who knows maybe a 14.7-second pass, could be lower but Im not the Stig. Note: all 15-second passes Ive done have been after the use of Nos so my poor little clutch was already baked, and at no time was I flat changing. I like low times but I also like driving home after. BTW what I can run on Nos isn't really what I care about, Im after a 13-second pass off Nos............Dare to Dream. ← Hi there guys, Over 3 years ago fellow forum member XR6TU and myself pioneered with making our XR6 BA N/A's faster. We were probably the first to install performance chips, exhausts, headers, CAI on the BA N/A as the parts became available. The results were pretty good considering it was only bolt on mods. I am happy there is still alot of BA-BF N/A owners wanting more out of their rides. Sadly I sold my XR6 5 months ago and I do miss how well it drove. My best run down the 1/4 was a 14.71@96MPH which wasnt too shabby considering a couple my mates in XR6T's ran 14.6's same day. Cheers, Ex XR6 N/A driver
  6. That's an excellent time by your mate. Best time so far for me is a 14.71 @ 96mph. Not a perfect launch but pretty happy for a N/A BA XR6 with only bolt on mods. 14.5 is only around the corner for me with the soon to be installed VCT controller. Cheers, Simon
  7. Hey Wayne, Your new ride looks great!! Good to see you are back mate. Cheers, Simon
  8. Is there any truth that Ford servicing departments purposely install so called "ECU updates"..............which in fact plays havic with the ability of the "Edit" to perform once the standard ECU has been reflashed?, or is this just a rumour.
  9. Fair Call... but not everybody can afford the "T" nor the insurance if you are under 25. The XR6 N/A is still a great car and with a few mods can make it even better. Cheers, Simon
  10. faygun, Give Steve from Redcliffe Dyno and performance a ring in Qld or try his website. He has complete performance packages for the N/A and distributes into NSW. This guy knows his stuff and will not fill you full of crap and sell all the things you don't need. Cheers, Simon
  11. Must be a August build thing....Mine is Aug 03 and the exact same problems as you...right down to the leaking indicator lense all before 10000km. Don't be too discouraged, mine was all fixed easily by ford. Since then my only problem has been the SHH SHH noise (tightend handbrake), creaky back end (re-tightened suspension) and oops.....almost forgot.....a new diff All the best, Simon
  12. Mine's not a "T' but my XR6 N/A auto with Steve's RDP enhancement package almost goes like a stock "T". Onya Steve....by the way last run was 14.7@96mph which is not too shabby for an auto N/A. Cheers, Happy N/A driver!!
  13. Yeah, this guy runs between Carseldine and the sunny coast on the bruce hwy. I have seen him three times now in the last week.......with his ticket book in hand. Cheers.
  14. Steve, Would this particular upgrade (prochip) beneifit my RDP enhanced N/A in any way?? If unsure, I can be the lab rat if you like!! Cheers, Simon
