They are trying to fob it off now,saying that if I pay $160 to buy parts from ASL Logistics, that they can install it... as far as I am concerned, I am not paying sh*t until they can prove that it wasnt a manufactures fault. What do they think?? I banged it with a fricken hammer!!! Dicks!

I should also mention my warrenty runs out next week, and I feel like they are just fobbing me round to get past this point so they can wipe their hands of me!

Hey guys, I havent been around for a while, but I just need to get an opinion and possible answer to a situation I have encountered. As some of you migth remember, I have an FG, one of the first lot. Couple of Month back, the centre drivers side airvent broke, (back part of it fellout) . So I took it into Ford to have it replaced. The car is now at the repairers for the 4th time!!! CRazy for one little 10 cent air vent. The issue I now have is, they are trying to say that it is not a manufacutrers fault and that it was due to negligence... and for ford to replace it it could cost up to $5000, yes that's right, $5000 !!!! I rang 13 FORD to ask WTF was going on here and they again quoted me over 2-3 grand in parts only to have it replaced!!! Apparently they can not order just a vent and a full new centre DASH/console has to be ordered, which includes the computer etc etc!!! They are taking photos or some crap atm, as evidence. So the question is, how many seconds does it take to remove an airvent from a FG wreck, or is it not possible?? Surely these things just pop out and back in again!

Yup, parts overnight and two days in the shed, exactly what I was told. Though I did take it in monday morning and they havent rang me back yet!! As for "pissing out" theres a fair bit of oil, they said its only a weaping hole, dont know exactly how much oil it has dropped to the ml, but im guessing its dropped between 250-500ml. Basically one whole side of the engine is wet from oil.

Yeh the oil is leaking onto the driveway,, not excessive at this stage, but has dropped a fair weight!! Alot of oil on parts of the engine, and seems to leave drops in 2 or 3 parts of the ground when parked overnight. They told me its ok to drive, they even told me that I can take it on a trip as I am going away today. Though, I think ill take the Ol, ED instead!! Also oils is coming from back right, near the turbo, uner that heat plate somewhere, not from the front. Just wanted to know if this was a common problem?? I mean at 2000km, obviously there was an issue to start with!!!

Dunno, they just said bring it back next week when they get the part.

Anyone else done or heard of the FG's blowing head gaskets?? Car has been pissing out oil for the last week or so,so I took it into ford today, find out its a blown head gasket. Car has only done 2000km!!

GET OVER yourself mate!!! Put all the pressure he has on yourself and see how you come out!!! To kick 99 goals in a season is bloody good!!! Theres no point in arguing that fact!!! Franklin is not 10 times the player of fev what a load of crap!!! Fev has a MUCH better mark then franklin, fev is quicker then him off the mark!! Franklin is better off the ground, and makes something out of nothing all the time. Franklin is a better players, but not by that much. I would like to see the inside 50 stats of each team, I gaurentee hawthorn sh*t all over carlton!! Just my thoughts, both players are great players, but fev doesn't deserve what I am hearing in this thread.

Who told you the head unit is blaupunkt?? I dont believe it is. Yes the Upgraded DVD unit is, but not the standard sh*tty one!! Spend 500 bucks on a set of decent splits for front, 200 on a decent sub for the back, 100 bucks on back door speakers, and 200 to install if ya lucky. Still the headunit is going to let you down.
