    Join The Army

AAAAAAAAAAARGH!!! Jesus! That sort of thing shouldn't be allowed. It does however, remind me of a movie I once saw... "Well I bet you could suck a golf ball through a garden hose!"
  2. Let's be honest, he's a twit anyway! Similar to you Cro, bottles next to the seats. The little plastic tab that allows the cup holder cover to click closed has brokem off, so now mine is open all the time. Only annoying sometimes, the rest of the time its infuriating Overall, I think the layout was definately made with the auto in mind, but who can blame Ford for that?
  3. As far as I'm concerned they can right off. My arms aren't painted on, I'm capable of doing it myself. The council should give them a job painting street numbers on gutters or cutting street trees or whatever else actually needs to be done in their local area. Bring on work for the dole. This window washing is no different to beggers. One came up and scared the absolute out of my missus the other dayat our local shops, actually opened the door of her (my) car and asked if she had a $1.50 (she was there by herself). He was there the next day and she pointed him out to me, so we had a little talk about what he should be doing with his days and whereabouts he should be doing it. Leeches. It comes down to the whole "life is what you make of it" thing. Not everyone that had a bad childhood end up a wit drain on society. Anyway, for those of us out there with a job, just incase we ever forget why we punch in every morning:
  4. I'd go back to a 4WD. Not sure what sort, but not a full size 'Cruiser or Patrol, probably another Discovery or a Turbo Diesel Jeep Cherokee (<-- try it before you bag it!)

    98 Ron Fuel

It was my belief that BP sold Ultimate as the "clean" 98 RON fuel because Optimax is such a polluting fuel; the high sulphur content that I mentioned. Although, again I must concede I am not from the industry and my "knowledge" is sketchy at best.
  6. I'm at 44,000kms. Should I be scared? Will it be quicker to push my car back from Dandenong after it has been serviced and flashed?
  7. Both, and also at Rosebud. cdmwedge, Looking at your name, I was wondering if it has anything to do with Commander Wedge Antilles? Perhaps you should trade the T in on an X-Wing and fight the empire? Or is that the metephor? That now you are taking on a new empire... This one is not ruled by a black plastic man with a respiritory disease living on a space ship, this one is rulled by an American living in Geelong? If your name has nothing to do with Wedge Antilles, please ignore my stupid commentry.

    98 Ron Fuel

Shell Optimax and BP Ultimate are the same drop. Both are refined by Shell on the east coast of Australia. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It was my understanding - which is by no means definate - that BP Ultimate was refined on the West Coast. I've simply never put it in my car because I don't like the guy that own the BP servos in my area, not for any other reason.

    98 Ron Fuel

I once calculated the average cost and fuel consumption over 6 tanks of fuel, 3 Optimax and 3 91 RON unleaded. This was in my old EF Falcon when I had that. It worked out exactly the same price per kilometer, down to the second decimal point. It was nearly 3 years ago now, so I can't really remember what the actual figure was. Also depends on how much of the hype you want to believe. Shell claims its fuel has numerous additives that , reading between the lines, basically do the job of injector cleaner/something similar to Wynn's Spitfire. On the other hand, Shell fuel is supposed to be high in Sulphur (it certainly smell like it is). Thsi is not good for the engine and is why I began to run as many tanks of Mobil as I do Shell. Caltex and BPP never even get a look in. I know you are talking about Caltex, but its some food for thought. TO answer the original question, I have always spent the extra on 98 RON fuel, even when the car does not specify it.
  10. 2 leg, whether it be the GT or the Typhoon wing.
  11. A cruise in my own backyard and I can't make it! I am even on leave! Unfortunately (sort of...) the GF and I have a chance to get away to Venus Bay for nothing this weekend so we're gunna take it. Have a great day all!
  12. Have you ever heard of The Daily Planet? It's Melbourne's most exclusive and expensive brothel. Well, she has nothing to do with that, I doubt she would even know it existed. She actually works for a chemical company in Dandenong in purchasing and production planning. She actually gets quite underpaid for what she does, despite her raise. My mum does very similar work and is on more $$$ with less responsibility.
  13. I have found an AUIII 250 Pursuit Ute, obviously with the stroked motor, sounds stock (which is good also). Has just over 50,000Kms on it. Going for $28,500, which sounds to me like a fair price. Anyone have an opinion on the price, and, what sort of times would this thing do as a stoker? Its an auto. Would prefer a stroked Tickford motor to a a BA XR8 if possible.
  14. When its a hot day and I am working I go knowing that I will be dealing with pleanty of assaults. People drink on hot days and when people drink they hit each other (generalisation I know - but there are enough people out there like this to qualify the statement). When I am driving ot work and its raining I know I am going to be standing out in that rain for hours at a time directing traffic at one of the numerous prangs that is going to occur. People don't neccessarily have to drive everywhere at a crawl, but they do need to modify their driving behaviour.
  15. Right click the link "Save Link as" and select where you want to save it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks Dude
  16. That's great! Is there anyway to save this rather than it just opening in Media Player? I have Mozilla Firefox as my browser.

    New Player.

I've heard a rumour that Dick Johnson is going to release some heavily modified cars that could make up to 320kW! The cars will possibly be labelled "DJR 320", named according to their output. Don't know if its true but a mate said he read it on the internet...
  18. Funny you say that. I have never had a good service experience there. I could fill a thread with things they have done to my car. My car actually suffered substantial damage whilst in thier workshop. Just stuned at how little they car and how much they know that they have a monopoly on Ford Servicing on the Mornington Peninsula. I wouldn't put my car back in thier workshop if they offered to service it for free, and that's not a flippant remark, I mean it.
  19. Agree 1,000% Space Ace, but that's how it is. Would you give up yours and your families homes to belt a little scrote? The culture is changing quickly.... For the worse. The people on this ACAstory are an example of what kids of 15-20 years ago are like now. Imagine in another 20 years as discipline gets less and less!
  20. I could live in Bicheno. I would hit Queenstown with a thermo-nuclear device, but I doubt it would change how it looked at all.
  21. And our friends at ACA would be straight onto that, and well lead to me losing everything I own and my family owns (They are trying to introduce new legislation here in Vic that allows crooks to sue coppers and the coppers FAMILY's assests can become involved. Mum, Dad, Brother, Sister, Son, Daughter, Grandparents etc). I rarely get the urge to hurt someone because of their attitude. There's enough people that get violent wthout prompting anyway. But with VicPol dropping its members like hot cakes, I won't be acting on any of those rare urges. Not worth it. In 20 years when the police are so wrapped up in procedural bull that our society has turned into one big ghetto, the pollies can deal with it. It's their great wisdom that is listening to the vocal minority and not trying find out what the silent majority wants that is screwing everything up. Fr33dy, for someone of Lebanese descent that came into this thread with the (founded or unfounded, I'm not commenting) generalisations about Lebanese people I think your post was very restrained, articulatre and made your point better than any ranting dribbling that some people may have typed. Onya!

    Crash Files

Police putting OUR lives at risk to help protect and assist YOU. You try driving a Mazda Bravo (or in my case sometimes, a Mercedes Vito van) to a hot job. Police get nothing from getting to jobs quicker, it just means that you might not end up dead, the crook that broke into your house might get caught rather than getting away, your car might not get stolen get stolen etc. I don't get paid extra for getting there quicker to hlp you more. And despite that look at some of the tools we are given to do our job. I know you think the images are funny, ask yourself why you think it is amusing that someone doing their job and having a prang is laughable. The SS into the pole had clearly had the B pilar removed with the jaws of life, so its likely someone was critically injured. Just try looking at it from the other side is what I'm saying. Personnaly, crashed cars aren't funny or really even mildly amusing, reagrdless of what sort of car/truck/bus/boat/bike it is. Ken24T's one liners, the late Spike Milligan and a cartoon called The Family Guy... Now they're all funny.
  23. I concur.
  24. dont remember his name dose this happen often
  25. Is this boat larger than the entire Vatican City?
