  1. I see Geea name at the bottom of this thread, I wonder if he is going to offer Michelle a job. *****Bugger, he got in before me***** By the way Darren, I don't write speeding tickets, but I do write tickets for stuff like Failing ot keep left, unreg, unlicenced and other offences that annoy me. Pretty girls don't get let off. Why should I? Its not like they're going to take me home and me is it? Welcome to the forum mate!
  2. All will be well until you start to mod it .... which you will then, see who will touch it Buying a Phoon saw my premiums sky rocket by over $1000 p/a, though it is likely that this will come down once current risk assesments are validated. 3 mods as a minimum and I will hopefully still be sweet..... AAMI <{POST_SNAPBACK}> actually wanna hear sumthin even cooler?? the bird said "you can perform UNLIMITED modifications prividing their all LEGAL and dont exceed the value of the car" also she let me throw upto the value of 3G worth of stereo equipment at no extra charge!!! so basically I can do whatever I want to my exhaust priding it doesnt exceed noise limits or emissions! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Make sure you read you policy documentation from start to finish. It would be interesting to see if that reflects what "the bird" has told you.
  3. unless you can prove that the council had been informed about the said pothole. Then and only then do u have a chance. Let your insurer sort it out. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> BINGO! This is the correct advice. If they have been notified of it and nothing has been done, then they are liable. If you are the first person to notify them of it, then their only responsiblity is to make sure it doesn't happen to another person. This happened to me on Narre Warren - Cranbourne Road, two tyres stuffed. $800.00 worth. My old man works for the local council and their response was exactly as above.
  4. I have these rims on my car: The car went into a particular SE Melbourne Ford dealership to have the tyres replaced. This was also the dealer where I had bought the wheels from and they had sold me GT Radial tyres with a rating of 91 on the rims. BA Falcons require 92. If I'd had a prang and a savvy insurance man looked... Well, bye bye insurance. Anyway, the tyres were got replaced. I got home that afternoon and my girlfriend says straight away "What's wrong with your wheels?". Three of the wheels has the coating chipped of and large gouges out of the edge of the rim, plus flat tyre lever imprints, on them. The coating was also lifting away and falling off in 20c sized chunks from the centre of the wheels. One was perfect though ? Anyway, took it back and the service manager's response: "It was the worst thing I ever did selling you these bloody tyres!" He was angry at me!! This bloke knew what I did for a job, and at the local police station whose cars his company services. Surely he must have known then that I wasn't just going to be intimidated by him yelling at me and trying to stand over me He triend anyway though. Anyway, three tyres sent back to ROH to be "re-coated" or whatever it is they do to them. I found out later on that these rims are reverse fit rims, the tyres are fitted and removed with the rim upside down. Obviously by the last wheel someone told the apprentice what was going on. There no way in hell thay could have missed the damage that was done to the rims either, they just chose not to tell me. I now have a new dealer.
  5. He was though
  6. That's what I'd like! And hopefully the transfer case will have a low range with that!
  7. It has got more ground clearence than a Territory though...
  8. The first picture of Jordan looks "Pre-enhancement".
  9. I reckon you would have got 10 years. Not sure how many points though. He is allowed to be on your property. Its called "Implied Consent". The offence would be in the manner that he was driving on the highway. The fact that someone was killed once the car was off the highway is irrelevant. Imagine I'm pegging along a country road, go flying off the side when I get to a corner and kill someone standing in a nearby paddock. Do I just walk away because the person didn't die on the road?
  10. If you order a schooner here, you'll get looked at funny. Buy him a few pints, that's what MEN drink! I also haven't been in in four or five days, and as such echo these sentiments exactly. Good luck with recovery George, all too often these things go the other way.
  11. Hehe...have to agree its all a bit suss. I am always amused at those people who swear black and blue she is innocent. 1) No one in Australia has heard enough evidence to say she is innocent, and they tend to be arguing on emotion and nothing more. That's kind of ar$e about. I realise its the Indonesian legal system, but the one we exist under and should understand puts the burden of proof on the prosecution, not the other way around. This is the most sensible thing typed yet about Shappelle. Agree 100%. It is mainly this reason that I have always had my doubts over her innocence, but haven't voiced that opinoin as yet because most people don't agree. I believe that she has an ex-husband, not a current one.
  12. I'm no mechanic, but I know that's very broad statement. Anyway, I'd love a small ski boat, just a cheapie, but I've got no where to keep one! Good purchase and I hope you have a lot of fun with it
  13. Can you help? Brazilian police have appealed to the public to assist in identifying the stolen implants. The only way to read the serial number once they have been "installed" is to run your fingers over the raised number on the implant. Obviously this is a sacrifice we'll all have to make. If any Australian citizen is able to locate any of the stolen implants the president of Brazil, Mr Sanchez, has offerd to assist that person "go brazilian" for free as a reward.
  14. I think that says it all...
  15. If I've handed that many $$$ over to FORD, regardless of whether the alarm on it is from the factory or fitted by a FORD agent, I would still expect not to have to take my car to the FORD nominated repairer 3 times in as many weeks. I have no idea who this bloke is, I have seen a couple of episodes of Top Gear, which were entertaining. My point is, whether the alarm comes from the factory or it is fitted by FORD's agent, the car is still FORD endorsed so FORD has to bear the consequences. If it was your $55K XR6T and the alarm fitted by the dealer kept ing up, after a while, a phone call to 13FORD would happen, despite the fact its a dealer fit accessory. Whether the guy is a knob or the regardless of the price of the car, he's still entitled to basic things, such as his car working, when he purchases a vehicle. (Zap, not directed at you, yours was just the last post that mentioned the "dealer fit/aftermarket" alarm)
  16. I'm sorry, but spending about... what, $400K (AU) on a car just to have it back to the dealers that often? I wouldn't be buying it back, as horny looking as it is.
  17. Most research is bankrolled by drug/pharmaceutical companies or universities. Depending on whether a particular student at a university has corprate sponsorship or is funded by the university would determine whether the research was tax payer funded. Even then, tax payer funds are only a portion of a university's budget. Did the research mention what damage walking in the rain does? Imagine what damage is being done to people's heads up north during the "big wet" each year.
  18. I take it you are only taking about when the Cat is removed/changed? If it is just the centre muffler taken out, I believed that the boost spiking wasn't a problem?
  19. So would this set up offer any benefit to performance to a car that is stock/near stock? If it sounds as good as it looks it would have to be one of the first mods to consider. This is an excellent way of letting everyone know your car isn't just an NA six without really overtly advertising the fact. Not that I will ever have the money, but I wonder how much it costs...?
  20. Aw for 's sake! It's getting about as pathetic as it can get right now isn't it?
  21. Solid Gold. I love it.

  23. And your nearly there! Add a "/" to the start of the close brackets and I think you'll be set. What sorta tractor is it? It looks like a Massey.

I agree. This has been circulating for years, and it is still exactly that, and cruel. Like Stan Lazaridis says "Cats, if you don't like 'em, leave 'em alone".
