ticking finally got the better of me, so pulled the fan motor, blew the sh*t out of it with compressed air, bit of electrolube, all sweet, quiet as, no more ticking or squeek.
I use one, been on for a year, has a thermostat to cut it in an out, but I don't bother with that, just leave it runnin all the time. It's fitted inside the rh front guard. There are 9 off Dia. 25mm holes in the inner guard for airflow.
Mike, mines a 4spd, with a thermo fan trans cooler (one peice unit), but I don't bother with that. I have a manual over ride switch that I just leave on full time now. The cooler the better (makes all the difference). Mine is fitted inside the front bar on the right hand side. Have air flow holes drilled in the inner guard.
If you don't already have it fitted, you can buy the genuine ford auxiliary ipod kit from me, still got one for sale, had a few interested, but when it comes time to pay they choke. See here > WA - Ford Ipod/Mp3 Amplified Auxlilary Audio Booster Kit - Ford XR6 Turbo.com
