  1. Got Dealer Tint , "SunSmart" solvent based I think ? A couple of miniscule marks on rear windscreen if you look real close, but other than that looks great ( me thinks anyway) BTW no probbs with radio reception except in the boonies , but this is no worse than my AU11 xr6 VCT with the metal arial.

    1000 Posts

Kenny I hope all the extra curricular activity is not doing U in. I am absolutely flat out keeping up with the mandatory homework (and work) reading that this site generates. Seriously though , I can often be found hysterical at some of the posts, causing my reports to stare in disbelief at yet another outburst of uncontrolled laughter from the corner office. Thanks mate for the mirth and wit , or is it wirth and mit ?? Note to self , get a life........they dont feed or water U you here. Shame that or otherwise I never leave ( except for things that cant be mentioned on this forum !) Yes I can type one handed.

    BRAKE SHUDDER ISSUE

Mac_Dude I can't help other than to say , I experienced the same prob. Probably something from the assembly process burning off from exhaust heat shield etc. Good thing is , it disappeared in a couple of days
  4. Why would you want to spend eternity in a place that is bleak and grey ? Correct me if I am wrong but isn't imagery of heaven generally White? Then again the HgAg gods are obviously a weird lot. So , you probably will never see the light :(
  5. Jeez, I just cant figure it out ! HHCIB , name says it all.
  6. Belated Birthday wishes to you both. Sorry did not post yesterday , as football , the nags and an onslought of beverages made it far too difficult to hit the right keys LOL. I will, however have a quiet one or 2 for you tonight. Trust that you both had a belter of a day. Cheers
  7. Thinkin that similar stripes would suit the T also , though this might be sacrelige to some on a mere T, you would certainly need the mods to ward off the inevitable encounters withh the ricers et al

    Recall

    4 Days R&r

Ian having read a lot of your posts since joining the XRT brotherhood , is it fair to assume that your beast in particular may sound better than most ? That said it is fantastic to hear that the word on this "great" car is starting to spread. I am all respect for a good car , But since taking ownership of the T I have had my fill of rice. Every morning and night going to & from work, I only have to look sideways at a set of lights and a ricer wants to have a go , even though you would be lucky to hit second without going up some other poor so & so's ar*e Wot is the point U 4 cylinder chaps ????
  11. All, It is not just the SMS that Ford has been out done! Go to any dept store and you will find Expensive Daewoo posters, scarves, socks , jocks( boxers as well ) shirts , cups , mugs , beer glasses even HSV pedal cars for kids etc .........Ford a coupla T shirts if you are lucky. I do not profess to b a marketing Guru , but ......how hard can it B
  12. Lord C , A very lucky escape indeed. Only a few minutes away in Rouse Hill and Riverstone cars were being trashed by said golf ball sized hail stones. I am very happy that you and your new bubs survived natures onslought. I too only just made it to safety in time.
  13. Lord C , XR6T4ME is clearly beside himself. Can't wait for your reaction. How waz it ? , how waz it ? I think back with relish ( enjoyment , not an adjunct to HGAG private soirees ) my own excitement at the call up. No doubt a few Ks to b racked up over the week-end..........enjoy both of you. T's are more than a mode of transport aren't they?
  14. Got to agree , after parts labour etc , you may even get pretty close to getting a Brand Spanking new T . Plus you would get all the usual "Warranty Support " !Nothin like a new T BTW a big welcome to you . Between the T, work and this site not much spare time.Note to self .... get a life. WTF what a life !!
  15. Yeeeee Hawwww, now where is my Banjo , and why are you looking at me like that ?
  16. All, Unfortunately the marketing issue isn't just endemic to Ford, due to the transient nature of marketing folk ( yes I will get flamed for this generalisation), there is lack of continuity and thus a lack of a consistent and adhered to strategic marketing plans , there is a very much a generational issue in so much as " wot can I do for me rather than how do I do the best for the brand" Why can GMH continue to out do us ? mmmmm .staff retention ?
  17. Ken Are you now purchasing willing conscripts in bulk ?. Do you get a discount , free gifts etc
  18. I do quite a few trips from Sydney to Brisbane along both the Pacific and new England highways, and let me tell you there is nothing better than the sight of a White T in someone else's mirrors to herd slow moving vehicles LEFT.
  19. KrasH All comes down to diposable income ! As I was soft and went for Std brakes( didnt no about shudder at the point when I ordered) , upgrade to DBA slotteds and ferodo pads all round is no.1 on the list. Then , taxmans generoucity permitting , I am considering stage 1 or 2 APS kit, coupled with appropriate exhaust ie 2.5 in straight through ? Prefer stage 2 if coin permits as there are a couple of Skylines that keep picking on me on the way home from work ( can't let the Ricies win can we ?). Also need to consider secondary cold air intake etc etc , as I can get the beast quite warm on occasion.I am not a technokrat so please put me staight if I am going down the wrong path. That said I have more than frightened a few SS's off the line ? are they just scared ? Should, on paper be able to keep up. BTW I have a SSS & find second a little to to tall for straight line stuff in IMO. Any way love the car , cant wait another 3 years until I upgrade the lease. Soooo go hard or go home. Appreciate some feedback on bang for your buck mods Ta WhiteTee
  20. KrasH I'm with you , went for a strap in the beast yesterday through some nice challenging windy bits, ie. second in and out of the corners at highish RPMs in second ( SSS ) all windows down, premium sound shut down. After 6 months still like being pushed up against the seat........still love the exhaust bark as well. mmmmmmmmmm mods I reckon, more more......
  21. Personal preference =in studio mode , loud on , crank up base to max, treble @ approx 75% , Fade and balance as appropriate, volume about 19-20. Should be ok for those who like it hard and fast.eg Birdman, Iggy ,Saints, Ozzy , et al, Rear windscreen vibrates and shimmers nicely. Bear in mind this is a car unit not a home thunderbox. That said it is OK , but I expected a little more for $1k large, but I would not be without it. And to Kens point , I couldnt be bothered with an aftermarket Jobbie.
  22. Plonky I have just returned from Germany, and let me tell you , U are spot on , planning , infrastructure and education are the key ingredients. That said most "Fatals" are attributed to speeding in inclement conditions, ie fog , Ice etc The infrasructue , courses for new drivers etc, roads are second to none. Why is it then that the Carr Govt does not equitably distribute its taxation wealth in a more beneficial way, albeit that the contributing factors to road deaths in this country cannot holistically be attributed to speed on a per capita basis? Should we always plan for the lowest common denominator or just raise the bar of admission ?
  23. Mack All I can say is I am very tired for U ( also jealous ... Barstard) I have just spent 3 weeks attending junkets on various parts of the planet, and yesss it does hurt. ie most of the seven sins every day/night.Do you wear glasses yet ? Enjoy my friend , and may the strength be with U. BTW , it is great to be back home , lots of reading to do Cheers
  24. Many Happy returns and congratulations on a great site, a home away from home for Ford xr 6 Turbophiles. Apologies for the belated wishes , have been in transit to Rome for the past day. Keep up the good work
  25. Baaaaahhhhh,Pass me the velcro gloves. BTW, on a recent trip South Africa , Aussies DO RIDE On THE SHEEPS back. The rest of the world are asking questions.
