  1. Had a run against a VX SS yesterday , which was covered in all manner of ricey stickers and sounded modded ..... no contest , the T by plenty , so shouldnt be any probs for you. Watch out for the Maloo's, I have been emabarrased by a few of those.
  2. Esky Have a goody, ^!*& yeah.
  3. Paul M , You lucky B. How often are you changing Ts? ie Ks V Time. U must B sweating seies 2 ? :hiwelcome: Myself, basic brakes are just that , shudder or no shudder they are not satisfactory for pulling up one of these beasts quick enough. Go the premiums.
  4. mmmmmmmm colour wars 6 or is it more since August ... Pffffft ? Must be getting old ? HO HUM , go for it guys. Nothing beats Winter White for eliminating RH lane hogs. At least we do not get lost in the "Grey" sky line on country roads like "Depression Under Coat" Sorry Chaps but I have to go back to work tommorrow WhiteTee vewwwy sad
  5. 65%NCB Hills District - Sydney NRMA $1189 But will be changing insurers as the b*ggers wont cover performance chips , no matter wot. Fitting one will void any claims if detected.
  6. Sash Good work mate. I will take, sorry purchase if and when available one key ring six coffee mugs six stubbie coolers one shirt ( XL) no cheap shots guys one by Cap ( need to see design first ) sorry but already have a site sticker/scuff plates on order . Cheers
  7. Trumpy I'm with you all the way. Picking up the T from the dealer in an hour, along with a couple of cases of ice cold "Jimmy's" to tide me over until I finish me hols. naaaah wot am I thinking 2 aint enough.
  8. I live in the Hills , must be the T capital of Sydney , they are everywhere. Probably enough to start "Hills Chapter" cruises. Dont know how many are site members though as I dont spot any stickers. Just before Christmas in local supermarket car park I counted 8 Ts alone. That said there is a fair old smattering of HSVs and SS thingees as well.
  9. Dealer in Noosa ( car is getting water pump o ring done for second time in a fortnight ) has metal lower grilles same mesh size as top. Now wait for it ...........$ 190 + $ 75 to put in 2 screws. They had one fitted to a blood orange XR8 , complete with black GT stripes Yeah right , I shall passeth on this particular option even though it looked pretty good.
  10. Yes, it is an auto - stalled in 'Drive' Ditto Mine stalled at idle today ( auto ) for the first time, also idled rough a few times after being on boost.Weather was warm but very very humid. Looks like off to the dealer next week for 15 k service to get it sorted, along with water pump O ring which is starting to leak again after the mid trip cuffuffle in Armidale a week or so ago en route to QLD.
  11. Hi Antionette Sounds like a good run .Nice and handy for me too. Looks like I will be able to wear me drinkin boots to the Fid. Please put me down for WhiteTee + SMBO Cheers
  12. YCL From one White T brother to another...... Happy Birthday and a great New Year , mate enjoy the double celebration tonight and I hope tommorrow is not tooooo painful. WhiteTee
  13. I currently have fitted SS induction & BMC hi flow air panel filter and am planning to get exhaust and APS stage 1 in January. I have contacted my current insurer NRMA and they will allow all above mods , except performance chips . They were unmoving on allowing chips on Turbo vehicles they class as sports cars. This is despite the fact that I am over 25 ( well over I may add) and have not made a claim for over 15 years ( touches head). They were also at pains to remind me that should a claim be made that any mods detected that are not covered by policy will void any cover. :banghead: So the point is , Can anyone advise of an insurer who will cover chps on the T in NSW ? You help is appreciated
  14. R Ute ............mmmm interesting name ,any way welcome to the site hope you enjoy your time here. Or have you been here all along watching us ?? 1 post in 2 months should I be looking over my shoulder ? Unfortunately Ken must be taking a well earned KIP as he has yet to sniff you out , so a merry xmas to U
  15. All In defence of the BIB , yet another story from todays drive north. Stuck for ages behind several Rav 4s( wearing cardies too) pottering along at about 65ks in a 100 zone. Stretch of clear road appears , kick T in the guts and go around them ( 2 way traffic ). Would have been exceeding speed limit by more than enough to get a ticket ,albeit very briefly. Letting car come back to speed limit without use of brakes , I spy HWP vehicle in bushes. Fully expected the dreaded wave , as he would have had the radar on me. instead he allows me to keep going. Would appear to me to be a case of discretion and common sense as those Rav 4 boys were creating quite a queue. A ticket for them however would not have been remiss.
  16. YCL I agree with your sentiments. Driving up to QLD today pulled up for fuel just before Armidale , only to have pointed out to me the rapid discharge of coolant coming from my T. Ambled down to the local dealer to seewhat could be done. "yeah we'll fix it " had to wait 4.5 hours for all to be fixed (water pump o ring), cooling system pressure tested etc . Even gave everthing a thing a good clean afterward. They had jobs everywhere from locals that had to go out before tommorrow. Could have bumped me if they had chosen to..15 Hours after departure I arrive in Brisvegas After 12000ks of hard driving , I have had todays inconvenience ,brake shudder and heat shield rattle. Would I get rid of my T...... no way. Understanding there are some disgruntled T owners out there, some rightly so, I wonder how many owners on this site would actually get rid of there cars. I wonder ? Whislt spleen venting is understandable , there is not the comensurate amount of posts singing the praises of this Car. Poll any one ??? Should it stay or should it go ??
  17. Rapt Check out their site , from memory the distributor is based in Sunbury, they will be able to provide you with the stockist closest to you. WhiteTee
  18. Hi Geeseman , Castle Hill Exhausts. Ph 9680 2777.Will probably charge about $50.00 for installation. Would take about half hour. Kit also comes with a nice Ricey sticker if you are so inclined. Cheers WhiteTee
  19. Hypnodoc D'Oh ,would have been handy to know, as I had fitted this morning SS cold air induction $399 , already had BMC panel filter $ 150 Total $550. Looks like I got the panel filter as a bonus v your quote on the SS gear. Certainly noticed the difference with the extra air after fitting the filter, but the Cold Air intake seems to have added a good bit extra. also got better power low down / mid range, smoother delivery and winds up quicker , so I am certainly not unhappy. One concern I did have was the potential for the air deflectors to cause increased temp from diverting some air from the radiator. Good news ( touches head) , was that today was an absloute scorcher and after giving it some there was no movement in the temp guage from where it normally sits, additionally should also notice even more improvement on a cooler day.
  20. aaahhhh that's better , home sweet home. past few days have caused major withdrawal. Almost had to contact Mack & Redhawk for an emergency fix from their treasure chests.

    Good New Stories

11000 ks ...... shudder bug only , touches head
  23. Ditto , did it for me as well , particularly the generous fleet discount,The rex's people were not vey flexible, otherwise I would probably been in one of those. Before I get flamed , I roooolly do believe I have made the right decision for my personal needs. ie speed, handling, comfort , appointments and space.
  24. Was informed at my 15,000km service that my removed centre muffler has voided warranty & that they are suppose to inform FMC (they didn't/haven't). It is my understanding that as far as FMC is concerned, any modifications will void warranty for certain aspects of your vehicle. Modifications to intake, exhaust, engine management, etc will void engine & drive train warranty. Lowering the car will void suspension component warranties. And so on, and on, and on.... All mods will cause something in your warranty to be voided. Also, be careful just what & how much you tell your Ford service people...it may cost you dearly!!! Seems to be some varying levels of warranty compliance around the traps. Whilst picking my BMC filter up from local exhaust joint , I got into a lengthy conversation with the chaps down there. They are being currently innundated by the local dealer for pre delivery additions ie. SS cold air induction , filters and exhaust mods. Interesting.........do they advise customers of voided warranties on these bits before they even take the keys. Apparently not.
