Well got the Blue Taxi back. Was indeed a loose flex plate + broken gearbox mount. Probably caused over time by manual mode changing in the meat of the torque curve. Certainly feels "snappier" to change gear and happier when cold in Auto mode prior to the "rattles" So far so good. PS Labor charge was a little bit more than anticipated ( included a proper battery charge ?) but got a free tow via RACQ to the other side of Brisvegas so sort of balanced out

Long story short. Gave the slightly modded pissant sound a hit for 3ish hours whilst giving the Blue bastard a proper tub. Deadened battery, Local auto club jumped me and got started.alternator charging fine. RACQ drives off and and then there is this terrible rattle and (I mean terrible )from under the bonnet, Lift bonnet and check for oil and other nasties etc. Nothing? ZF 6 speed BF ,auto. Neutral gears rattles it's tits off, under load rattle almost stops in gear both forward and reverse also under throttle also diminishes in P and N It has been suggested that it could be the flex plate , ? Any suggestions ? seems like a tow job Thanks in advance

All depends on what you want with the power ? Racer or Dyno queen ? Stage 2 should do the job.however Just my opinion but anything over 350 for a daily is overkill. All you are burning is money and will still get smoked if you cant get traction

had this happen also. I tried various wreckers etc without success ended up paying ford approx $380 painted. Both sides got a few blobs of silicone for good measure
