    All hoses in good nick .Genuine 044 , fuel filter changed 5000ks ago ( will check /replace filter) Edit sound deadening kit was already on before pump change.

    changed my somewhat aged and noisy 044 for a new one.Thought it might be on the way out Noisier than the predecessor by a large margin. PW 1st series surge kit added with sound deadening kit. Was quiet for 1km.Farkin

    I think this will vary greatly depending on how the car is driven. A thrashed stock car could well need more maintenance than a modded car treated with a modicum of mechanical sympathy
