  2. With all these people upgrading their Terriory steel wheels and going rather cheap I was wondering if they they would be the correct offset to fit on my T sa as I can get a set for track days and the drags etc. Does anyone know what size they are? I think they are 17" but what is the width? Do you think they would be ok for this sort of thing, or would they be too heavy? I assume if there is any weight difference it would only be minor and therefor would not be too much of a problem. Mick
  3. Unless you can get one for a price that you can'r refuse!
  4. yes, the wall has to be perfect... this is why you use prep coat (level 5 wall) and you cant get a wall more perfect. paint needs to have a ceramic pigment in it for best results... both need to sprayed with prep coat you will not see joints... that's the beauty of it <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Cool Jet, I kind of wish I knew a little bit more about this before, but I am very happy with my settup! Mick
  5. Here is a pic of my screen. It was about $900 from memory (installed) and I am note sure of the size? All I know is the width of the wall from opening to opening where the screen is fixed is 2.6m wide, so it is pretty big! Mick HomeTheatreScreen.bmp
  6. I have a fixed screen (bought one) and a friend of friend has one that he made from that blockout material. Now from what I havw been told it works fine and is very cheap, but you do get better colour out of the propper bought one. As it has a certain amount of reflectivity in it to help the colour bightness. APPARENTLY! Now as for the paint on wall situation....I did find a new paint just recently from one of the home theatre mobs web sites here in australia that sold it but I can't find it at the moment. And it give you that extra reflectivity that you need for the better colour representation. Also one other thing that I was told is that the wall must be purrfect or else you will distortion in the oicture and you will see it. And as everone knows subbies these days don't give two hoots about putting stuff up in construction and the chances ure that it will be wavey. One way combat this is to line the wall in the 13mm platerboard rather than the usual 10mm to take out any impurfections but they still need to be good to set the joins as not to see it when you project light onto it. If you dont believe me tonight when you turn on your lights at home have a look along your ceiling and you will see all the lumps and bumps. So if you are like me and want the best result go with the fixed screen as this will give th best result. Also stay away from pull down screens as these too tend to get waves in them especially when you have an open window, air-con, or as you create a draft when walking pact them. I hope this has been of some help to you guys Mick.
  7. So any news on When,Where, and $$$ yet? Also I have a Q for the wog! I have only had the Capa Flash unit for a couple of weeks and when I bought it I was told there has been an updated base tunes done by Capa.... So will you have these tunes to load into our unit to start from so as we have the latest stuff in? As PTE where I bought it from did not have the latest tunes from Capa yet and was just wondering? Mick
  8. So what are the spec's of these Ford injectors? And also any serial numbers etc. as my uncle is head of the Ford Racing Parts division and imports all the bits for the supercars from the states, I will ask him if he can get them and also how much he can get them for. Mick
  9. Well I was just down at the official unveiling and it is actually the 'JELDWEN' sponsors over the car. They actually own Stegbar and Corinthian so F6 Rapid is half correct! I didn't get any pics but if you can imagine the paint scheme of the DJR cars with fluro yellow highlights you pretty well would have it! Mick
  10. Unfortunately I am not going to be able to make it due to other commitments on both of those dates. But I am sure you will all have heaps of fun and drinks for me! Mick
  11. YEH YEH... PICS!
  12. That is trick! But it would have to be one of the last thigs I would buy! Rather go faster first! Mick
  13. Ok, a quick update. I re-flashed last night, and unfortunately did not get to test it untill this morning due to storms but......... What a difference, the AC is working on the 10psi tune and it feels like a completely different tune compared to what I first experienced. All I can say is WOW, now that is what I was expecting it to feel like. Talk about bank for your buck! Mick
  14. Cool, Thanks for the info. I will try and flash the 10psi in tonight and run it tomorrow and see what happens. And I will get a wog tune when he is next up in sunny Qld! I will see how it goes. Thanks again guys. Mick
  15. I finally got my s$%t together and bought the flash tuner from Power Torque Engines at Brendale in Brizzy. So far I am more impressed with the 8psi tune, feels stronger and everything works. But on the 10psi it tends to feel a lot more slugish lower mid rev range and also my air cond does not work! At first I thought it had just s$&t itself and was prepared to take it back to Ford but no it was something in the tune as with the factory and 8psi all is fine. Has anyone had any similar symtoms to this? Should I ship the Flash unit down to CAPA and get them to check it out and make sure it has all the latest tunes/software on it? CAPA, is that the best thing to do before I get a custom tune? I think I will give them a cal today. Mick
  16. Ok, I got my flash tuner and am keen for a custom one. The 10th of Dec. should be ok for me but would prefer that last weekend in November the 26th or whatever it is. Mick
  17. Great stuff! Can someone post up those gutting sizes and guide as I think I will go this way also. Mick
  18. Maybe they didn't include it because it can't be turned off like in other cars?????????? And if that was the case the reprocussions of this would be far worse than actually not including it as all the car enthusiast's like us would like to be able to turn it off. Just a thought. Mick

    Abs Off Switch

Would you be able to turn it off with the edit? You seem to be able to do anything else! Mick
  20. Thanks for that DW! Now where is that credit card???? Have you confirmed any dates for your next Qld visit yet? Mick
  21. What about - 08AT0 - BA Turbo 51XOT - 6 Turbo 40RDT - Ford Turbo 00OXR - XRV10 - XR6 (roman numerals - VI)
  22. I have not seen this asked anywhere but anyway here goes... I know the box has 5 lives and each time it must be sent back to CAPA to be reset. But lets say you have an XR6T and you get a flash and then your next car is a GT?????????? Can it still be used? I guess so, but I assume you will have to pay $$$$$$ for CAPA to load the base GT tunes is that correct? Or if you have a flash tuner and you just take it and use this to have a custom tune done even though it has base turbo tunes and do all that is required when tuning? Just curious if I bought one as I amy only keep my T for approx. 1 more year and then want another V8! Mick
  23. I wouldn't mind doing it but I dont have the $$$ right now as I am saving for an edit and just finished building our new mansion so am very strapped for cash at present, Sorry! Mick By the way your phoon sounds like it has some serious mumbo!
  24. sykes

    Indy Indy Indy

I will be down there somewhere??????????? But if you let me know when and where I should be able to start to stagger there around lunch time with my mate and we should be able to make it! Mick
  25. VERRRRY SEEEEEEEXY! I don't mind the front bar on the Phoon, Looks very supercarish? Do those ducts to each side of the centre go anywere? A nice place to put a bit of ducting to the brakes for track days! Mick
