  2. Thanks for your replies.
  3. Hi I got a price from Repco of $26 each. I've heard some people on here paid significantly less than this for these plugs. Does anyone know where I can get them? Can't see any for sale on ebay at the moment. Thanks Mark
  4. If you have a BF MkII you have the F6 motor so at least you have the strongest motor to start with.
  5. I wouldn't be putting 235/55 R17. If I keep my 17's I will be getting 245/45 R17 which is what the FG's come with now. The slightly bigger overall diameter will improve your speedo accuracy too.
  6. Legally, 245 is the widest you can go on an 8" rim in 40 series.
  7. Is your car a Mk I or II? If it's a Mk II there was also a Mk II badge under the Falcon one.
  8. It depends what wheels and tyres you are fitting. The wheels have different offsets and the tyres have different section widths. I have 9.5 inch rears with 275's and they just touched, so I had to get the guards rolled. Used Lowdown for the guard rolling. He did a top job.
  9. and don't forget once the mods start, to re gap your plug

    New Brakes

The Territory front brakes certainly fit with 17" rims but I'm not so sure the Territory Turbo brakes do as the Territory Turbo runs 18" rims (even the spare I believe).
  11. Yes, having said they looked great, I still think there are way better looking rims out there. Maybe it was the fantasy colour of the car impressing me more than the wheels.
  12. Yep, that would be it. Remember it sat nice and low and had the little lip on the boot. Looked great!
  13. Saw a sedan in the colour fantasy with these wheels here in the northern suburbs (anyone here?). Must say it looked the goods. Didn't think much of these wheels til I saw them that day.
  14. Yep, sounds like the exact same problem. I note in your sig you have a wog tune as I do. My car revs high on start up as well. I know it may not be the tune, but does your car do the same thing when running the standard tune? I'm sure I have had the car stall on start up with the standard tune and that is why I took it to Ford and they said I had a TPS failure but the car still has the same problem (thanks again Ford for nothing). I have been trying to get it to stall on the standard tune but it seems to run well on the standard tune. After my experience, I probably wouldn't bother wasting time and money changing the TPS because it made no difference on my car.
  15. Just after starting, the engine light comes on and then after a couple of seconds the car dies. Start it up again and everything is fine. Any ideas what could be causing this? I have cleaned the throttle body and Ford replaced the throttle position sensor last week (thanks for nothing - actually thanks for charging me $350 to not fix the problem) but it is still doing this. The car also seems to have a rough idle. The car has a custom tune but I'm sure I've had it stall on the standard Ford tune. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas. Thanks. Mark
  16. I'm sure I recall some people here getting Dunlop SP Sport Maxx in 19" for $350
  17. Is it just me, or does anyone else think these pics look a bit dodgey?
  18. If your car has the 328mm rear brakes which I believe it will being a BF XR6T, then I would say 16's would not fit. As far as I am aware, the BF Falcon's with the 328mm rear brakes had a 17" steel wheel as a spare. I have fitted the 328mm rear brakes off a BF to my BA and tried to mount the 16" steel spare wheel and it would not fit. Whether Supra rims have a different offset which would help them fit I have no idea.
  19. Are you sure it wasn't the rim hitting the caliper because the 328mm rear brakes on the BF need 17" rims minimum. I would have expected the rims to hit the caliper before they hit the suspension. That's an interesting one.
  20. I don't think the Falken FK452 has really been out long enough to judge how long it lasts. It actually has a higher treadwear rating than the Hankook K104 so theoretically should actually last longer.
  21. I'd be going for the new Falken FK452 before Kumho and Hankook. You can get them in 19" for under $300.
  22. Thanks for the update.
  23. Ok, thanks. That what I am thinking of doing. Changing from the 57 to the 57SL. They don't list them under the BA for some reason. Down the bottom of the catalogue in the super low section they list the KFFL-57 as a super low option for BA XR, the only difference is the part no is shaded indicating progressive rate. Unless it's a typo and it should say KFFL-57SL. Ah, I'm confused.......
  24. When you say King Springs SL for the front, do you mean the KFFL-57SL listed under the AU Falcon on the King Springs catalogue? My car has the KFFL-57 on the front and KFRL-68SSL which sits level and I was hoping to drop the front down another 10mm approximately and wondered if the KFFL-57SL fit on the front of a BA. Also, does anyone know what the /520 means after the KFFL-57 and the /310 after the KFRL-68SSL on the BA XR springs on the King Springs catalogue?
  25. xr_velocity: I am interested in doing this upgrade as well, but certainly not at those prices! wasxaman: I have done the upgrade to territory brakes, but left the original rear backing plates on. was it hard to change the backing plates to the bigger bf ones? removing that whole handbrake assembly scares me a bit!
