There is very little "information" here about the boost controller, maybe someone should close this thread, and at least move it to chit chat... at this stage this thread is a time waster reading through it.

That's right. The computer said smack on 13 ltr/100k's after travelling about 300 odd k's, but when caculated it come to 12.1 Anyone else noticed this, or know why this is the case???

If you have paint protection use the shampoo they give you, otherwise, if you don't I'd recommend Meguiars wet look, and then use Meguiars soft wash on it. This works the best if you don't have paint protection. If you have paint protection use only Meguiars soft wash. Highly recommended to get paint protection, you'll never need to polish it again. Even the dew lifts dirt off on a cold morning if you have paint protection :D

Just thought I'd continue with the fuel consumption. At this stage I'm getting 12.1 ltrs per 100kms. Considering I only have 750k's on the clock I thought it was pretty good (this was a good mix of city/highway driving)

IMO the XR6T needs a little more power down low... but I say that coming from a 200kw XR8

Quite possible, I was turning right off heathcote Rd toward Meani in a blueprint, and the Acid Rush was turning right onto Heathcote road (coming from Meani way) around 7ish I suppose???

Manuals are great for total control, but hey, the auto is super quick and you have the best of both worlds. It doesn't predict you at all!! if you want 4th at 20ks, and put your foot down, well it just stays in 4th.. I like it... besides, how do you eat a cheese burger while driving a manual (or the wifes home made sandwich's)

Guys, Just thought I share this with you. I was driving back to Sydney on the F6 (from Wollongong) and a Blueprint on the otherside of the road spots me (talking maybe 2 to 300 metres away), and flashes and waves.. of course I do the same. About 20 minutes later I turn off heathcote road toward meani, and there was this Acid Rush XR6T, again same thing. Now I haven't seen stuff like this since I was in my mates Kombi some 10 years ago. Great stuff!! and to all the XR6T drivers... :D :D keep it up!

OK, it's home! :D :D :D Blueprint XR6T. First Impressions... I love the Auto, and the Standard Steering Wheel. Big improvements over the AU XR8! This car sounds pretty good. Nothing like the N/A 6 or the old XR8. It seems to handle and sound very similar to my (previous) 323 BMW. As for the power side, well having only 150k's on it, I can't put my foot down, but at half throttle, and about 4000rpm it wants to go, but of course I have to control myself :( Anyway, overall I'm pretty impressed with it...and glad I didn't go the SV8! Those of you that are thinking of just getting the NA 6, try and stretch the budget, you won't be disappointed

This is so true and it's not just cars!! When I first drove my AUXR8 I thought wow, and after a short time I was thinking, well it would be nice to have more. I also picked up myself a 135hp Jet Ski, and WOW this thing goes from 0-50kph in 1.8 secs, and 0-80kph in less than 3 secs. It actually does 98kph on the speedo (be about 100k's but) and now, 12 months later I want more

I have a couple of the TE50 posters myself, and the car looks great, but there is just something on this TS50 that's different... I don't know if it's the front bumper with the silver in it. I think it is, it sort of makes it look like the older HSV, or GTS?? Is that standard (the silver on the front bumper) or was it coloured afterwards, maybe being the same colour would make it look different/better???? Anyway, at saying all that, I love the look of the T series, and if I had one I would not have "upgraded" to a XR6T, I would consider that I'd have the upgraded model already. Just my personal opinion of course

It's always good to hear about more people going the XR's. But I have to be honest, I would have expected more of the.... "Yeah I have an 5.7ltr 220kW SS... and I'm upgrading the power to a 4ltr 240kw **XR6**" :lol: :lol:

Just curious what you were all driving before you "upgraded" to XR6T, and how you have found the increase in power, if any, bottom end grunt and gear box etc compared to your last car. Me, AUXR8 200kW. Comments??...should have some next week, after I've driven mine around, but keen to hear everybodys thoughts

Ok, let me get this right.. :lol: if I ask about seat covers I get answers on side air bags, maybe I should rephrase my question... :lol: :lol: Can anyone tell me where I can get a some good "side air bags" for the XR6T :lol: :lol:

Nope, I don't have side air bags. Do ford make the type of seat covers I'm after, or would they have to be after market ones???

Guys, I'm looking for a good set of cloth seat covers for the XR6T. Ideally after ones that have the XR logo on them. Anyone know where I can get these from??

Are you saying that with Traction control on, it's not really on if you give it a boot full???

About the Auto, what I heard was that it's exactly the same as what you'll find in the 182kw. The XR8 is suppose to be different, and from what I've heard again, is, that the auto gearbox is one of the reasons for the delay??? To add to all this it's rumoured that the reason the XR6T has been limited to 450Nm is because of the auto gearbox. Mind you I will get my Auto XR6T very soon, lets hope it's up to scratch :( Of course this all could be crap, but thought I'd share it all with you. (just gossip probably )

Business Car, "upgrading" from an 8 to a 6.. it's just unheard of... would have thought it would have been the other way around!!! Anyway, the XR8 has to go... kind of sad in a way really. The supercars just won't be the same for me now
