  1. Looking good. I'm guessing you are using the stock HU, where did you tap in for converters for the amp?
  2. I nearly forgot. The stock speaker is around 60mm. The Ford spacer is a funny shape and it 50mm one side and 60mm the other. So the stock speaker would hardly go into the door at all. I would say, as a guess if you were to use the stock spacer I would think you could nearly get a 80-100mm deep speaker in, but don't take my word on that...
  3. Muffler delete, hello crackle!!!!

  4. Ok, Jim said if you put the hotdog it you will lose the "harshness" of the exhaust and will soften the sound. I guess everyone likes certain noises. I will try and take some video and post them up later on. On youtube they do sound like tractors, but mine doesn't. But I reckon it will once recorded.
  5. haha. What are you worried about? I'll see if I can answer it for you, as I could never find the right answers...
  6. Alright, so I bit the bullet and got it done (FG G6ET). Couldn't fully make up my mind whether to get it done or not due to bugger all youtube clips etc. Going through all the posts, it is about 50/50 people like it or not. So I went to the legends at AAA Exhausts, and they did it for me. The owner Jim said he thought it was a little louder than expected and that he should have done the rear muffler, but for me to drive it around for a week then give him a call back next week to see if I want to swap it. Now the sound. I turn the key, and wow, what a sound. Fellas, forget youtube clips! It distorts the sound to buggery. Yes, when the engine is cold it is louder, but sounds nothing like a tractor. Now in the cabin (driving sensibly), in D (ZF here boys) the sound is a shocker around town, for obvious reasons, low revs yuck. Flick it to P, and wow I can hear the auto change up and down, and because it holds gears longer it sounds pretty good. But lads, flick that little lever again and this is when the everyday family sedan wakes up. HELLO CRACKLES! Re-frame myself. Driving relatively sporty (not hooning) the sound through the revs is good! Come on boost, and the revs rise, the sound is ever so sweet. Now that I have driven about reviewing that, time to find some back streets. Give that little pedal a bit more force and boom. It can get quite loud haha. It either sounds roughly stock, then pedal down and it is pretty loud. I wouldn't say "too loud" and neither does my girlfriend, who hates noisy exhausts. BINGO. So that is my review thus far. I will take her out again later, to some back roads to let her scream, the car that is fellas. Get it up to 80-100kmph and see what I think then. Cheers Kink.
  7. Only the dual climate problem most get. Warranty, 45mins, done. If my foggies go milky, out they come and some sweet air intake will be made... Never use the buggers!
  8. Yea the low beams and parkers are simple. Haven't bothered about the foggies, no real point. High beams are fine for me too, just blue visions in the low beams.
  9. You shouldn't have any problems with a spacer or the factory plastic... How deep can a speaker get? lol...
  10. All good. I love the GT-E, but the exhaust tips don't seem to match it. My mate had an BA Fairmont Ghia, with XR6 body kit and the suited that sooo much better.
  11. Yea not a problem, but I bet some one will get in before me though. I will have guess now, and see how close I am lol, I will say, 60-70mm then extra through the hole...
  12. I have them out, but I'm not home until Thursday. My spacers are not as big as the factory ones, so there is quite a bit of room to play with. And going by the awesome detailed door skin removal instructions here and on AFF, the front doors are a 10 minute job to take off and put back on. First time may take longer, but once you have done it, so easy!
  13. No G6ET, that is the GT-E...

Psst where do you guys buy your cardigans from? I bought some lovely plimsolls, which resemble slippers... Just need to work out how to connect my amp and sub so I can tilt the lawn bowl green with my super bass....
  16. When they remove the centre muffler is it solely the muffler or some piping too?
  17. THAT IS EPIC! Would be cool to play my PS3 in the car, but in reality, why would I lol.
  18. Yea man, tips n all, heard an exhaust without the centre muffler and it sounded no good to me...
  19. Has anyone done an axle back exhaust?
  20. no 3 months earlier....
  21. so how did it all go, and hows the sound?
  22. You don't need torx bits to remove them thought, a standard socket set will get them off...
  23. EMOSH DO IT!!!
  24. Do you get any crackle Impellor? and how loud would it be compared to a cat back system?
  25. Yes, would be good to see! How does it sound? And does it crackle at all?
