Just found out that Osram Nightbreaker globes are being realesed in AUS in a few weeks but are going to be sold through supercheap as NARVA NB(as nightbreaker name is patented in AUS and can't be used). they are supposed to be 90% more light and whiter colour temp(Kelvin) is 3600K for H4 low beam 60/55W (fit BA/F,FG ) 3400K for H7 High Beam 55W (fit BA/F,FG) 3500K for H11 55W(FG Fog) Standard colour is about 3000K They are going to be available in H3 also(for BA/F fog)but not sure of K When avail will try some H11's & Let you know how they go.

Hi All, I just put Philips X-Treme +100% H4 60/55W Lows & H7 55W Highs in My FG G6 last week. They are a whiter light when compared to the factory foggies & parkers(as philips don't make a H11 in X-Treme range), but there is no Kelvin rating on box so not sure how white they are. Driving home on sat night the Lows are definetly brighter( not sure about +35M as claimed) & the Highs WOW they're bright & I would say go further than +35M. Spotted a roo on the side way earlier than usual & when I got home I realised that my eyes weren't as sore or tired as usual(from straining to see wildlife e.t.c) so am really happy with them. I got them off ebay seller name blingwork for $69.99 posted as they are not avail yet from Autobarn(only X-Treme +80% are avail from there) Dissapointed that you can't get H11 for fogs, but he told me he has Osram Nightbreaker H11 which are $79+post these are +90% and 10% whiter so am considering this option at the moment. Have ordered some T10 SMD LEDs as the stock parker bulbs now look pus with the whiter H4's. I decided against the HID path as from what I had read they throw a different light pattern and I lost confidence in going that way, also have seen some have issues with ballasts e.t.c. and sometimes they will turn on and sometimes only 1 will turn on e.t.c. Only my 2 cents worth, if it is of any help. cheers.

I have an APR 10 G6ET & it has an all ally cooler. I was going to get the cat restrictor ring removed. Now I'm not sure its actually got one. Anybody know for sure that if you don't have plastic end tanks you don't have a cat restrictor ring?? or do I just get mechanic to check next time I get it serviced?

Just a quick thought that popped into the little old brain, would the pipe being mild steel have any probs with condensation e.t.c. causing it to rust and then flake off into the turbo or engine??? what do people reckon??
-
Thanks Barra, Let's have a go now, Just called local exhaust shop and he said $22 bucks for a 3" 90deg bend, then silcone joiners of ebay for about $18 each, plus a beer & some paint, nice, can't wait. then I'll have a go at a homemade cold air box and pod with 3" piping(Like Kink has done). cheers.

Confirming that standard rubber pipe size on an FG is 25mm as I used 25mm Barb end plugs/stoppers(from irrigation section of hardware) to block of piping. BTW in that pic of BF ute the vacuum pipe is not connected, did you reconnect as this would have something to do with compessor surge wouldn't it??

hey where was the ATMO BOV choice when I voted?? Did you add it Dillz??
-
Dillz, how'd you go with this one as I'm considering doing it to my G6T, was just a bit worried that all the pipes on ebay may not be rolled/bent at the same radius and not line up etc. question for you or AndrewD?? is this what is needed?? 1x 4"/102mm 90deg Aluminium intercooler Pipe 1x 4'/102mm to 3'/76mm Silicone 90deg Elbow(3'' for mounting to turbo??) then either 1x 4''/102mm Straight silicone coupler or 1x 4''/102mm Silicone Hump coupler/joiner(this gives a bit of flex if the angle is not perfect e.t.c from what I can work out) also when you cut the pipe do you lose the flange/beading that is meant to make the joiner seal better?? did this cause any leaks e.t.c.?? any help appreciated, as I like to fiddle but usually only on cheaper things, I.e don't wan't to wreck my new expensive toy. cheers

From Canberra area G6T, and not a public servant either. G6T you just might be the only one on here with those qualifications as I don't have sunroof or sat nav, also haven't got slippers yet as my UGGIES are still going strong
