    Car names

Imagine saying this to a car salesman when he asks you what sort of car your in the market for. I just call mine Coon. Dunno whether that's male or female.

    My Last Post

With the ar$e action they've got going they shouldn't have bike seats at all.
  3. Yeah get that stuff up so we can see it. Please
  4. Of course you can. But your probly gonna need a good friend in the engineering department at Geelong. Other than that after market is the only option.
  5. The smoother the intake duct is the faster the air will flow through it. If your not worried about getting defects then put pod filter on it but supply it with plenty of cold air and partition off the area where the filter is. The other option is to put the GT pod filter system off the BA which would look more legal and work quite well. If you do want some extra KW from intake mods then get the throttle body high flowed, this will make a difference.
  6. Surely if he's gone to the effort to buy a T and race it then he knows to stall it up.
  7. First of all if you take it to your dealer they wont tune it they'll just plug the WDS into it and check for fault codes. If there isn't any then they'll probably shrug their shoulders. I can't imagine an air filter or intake mods causing the car to blow smoke and I doubt the car would run lean because this. On cold mornings my car can have little puffs of white smoke too.
  8. Yep they will fit 19"x8" all round will be fine.
  9. I've got 18" AMG Matrix wheels on mine because I like the open design so you can see plenty of brakes behind them. They also have a deep dish which I think makes wheels look tough. Some of the wheels that Rays in japan make with deep dish design look really good on the drift cars.
  10. which is...? Sorry was in a rush to get out of the office. 235/40/18 Bridgestone Pole Position So3. I've seen prices for these as high as $430ea. But I get them for a $330ea because I always buy them from the same dealer.
  11. Just like the people on this forum the magazine should have included photo's of the modifications performed. We want pics!
  12. Speaking from experiance I can say that any 18" tyre that's under about $300 might grip ok in the dry but when it comes to wet weather performance then they lack grip badly. You get what you pay for most of the time but still shop around. I wouldn't put sp9000's on my car because I couldn't be happier with what I've got.
  13. Other than taking out things like the spare wheel, back seat, a/c, door trims etc I think the only way would be to replace heavy items with light weight after market parts. eg Fibre glass or carbon fibre panels, titanium exhaust etc. Unless your aiming for an 8sec car then I'd stick to investing in bigger hp components.
  14. G-Tech's are great. I've got one of the new G-Tech Pro's and it's really accurate and has lots of great features that the old one doesn't. The best way to get accurate HP and torque readings is to make sure you calculate the car, it's passengers and fuel as close to the cars true weight.
  15. I believe replacing the cat with a nice straight through pipe would make a noticable difference. The only set back is the spoil sports at the RTA my not look kindly upon this.
  16. When I got my new gearbox I just drove it as normal. Not babying it but at the same time not flogging the guts out of it. I drove like this for about 800k's and then went open slather with no problems to date. The thing you'll notice is the pungent burning smell comes back you get when the car was new.
  17. True that this is quite stupid to be doing on a public road but how many here have done the same? You guys don't have to answer that. This sort of stuff happens all the time but this guy was just unlucky enough to get court. Maybe he should have saved it for the track but I can understand his mistake.
  18. I've heard that they've started using this device to burn off genital warts but with little success. that's when you'd need a steady hand.
  19. no that's my brothers car and we have had some good drags yeah both front airbags went off but I don't remember hitting them(bloody seltbelts:)) It's a good thing you don't remember hitting the airbags because they hurt quite a bit. Kinda like getting hit with a cricket bat.
  20. I had Bendix ultimate pads on my 4000 series rotors and with a couple of spirited driving seasons they f%ck the rotors. So now I've got Ferrodos and they're great.

    LOOK OUT JAPAN!...

Make sure you've got your video camera when you find some late night drifting because we wanna see the action when you get back. Drop in to Top Secret while your over there and ask them if they're interested in doing work on the T.

    Hard Start

Just make sure you hold that key turned until she kicks over. I've learnt that from a few times just missing the start and sitting there for the next few minutes winding thinking I'm gonna have to get towed. I'm not exactly sure but I think it gets a gut load of fuel on start up and if you miss the start it kinda floods it's self.
  23. I think Redcliff Dyno have done work on an NA that is owned by one of our fellow forumers. Using I think a Unichip, headers, exhaust and air filter with quite reasonable power increase.
  24. I did mine at a friends work shop and used a big trolly jack under the diff lifting both wheels at once.
  25. I have one of these pockets at home that was in my AU11 fairmont. I pulled out the factory 6 stacker and installed an Alpine head unit but when I traded the car in on my BA I reinstalled the factory unit.
