  1. I'm pretty sure you can use Bosch injectors part no. 0 280 155 968. Around 400cc flow rate I think and correct spray pattern for the twin cam port setup.
  2. Where's the C16 option for fuel, he he kidding. Anything less than 98ron fuel is just torturing your T. I use BP ultimate because it seems to burn cleaner with less soot than Optimax and haven't had a problem yet.
  3. The original one is best for performance..... and for your hip pocket The one that vents externally is a $200 ticket and sounds really wanky The one I had on my WRX was not as good as the original, so I put the original one back one. The best one for performance IMHO isn't standard fitted equipment. The best option is a good quality after market plumb back. The biggest problem with standard fitted BOV's are they are usually pretty cheap bosch fitment and can leak after time or increased boost applications. Compressor Surge I'm quite sure is when the turbo pushes more air than the capacity of the motor can swallow. This usually happens when the turbo is miss matched to the engine and causes the engine to make an un-usual choofing sound when boosted. This I'm quite sure isn't happen to anyones T.
  4. I think I'd be searching for where your power steering fluid is going to as well.

    replacing rotors

Have you used the bendix pads in your XR??? If so, how did they go? Did u still get the shudder? Just curious as I am thinking of putting Bendix pads in. Ben Yes I have used the Bendix pads for about 3000 k's and then pulled them out and threw them under the house because they f#*ked a good set of 4000 series rotors. As Cro says the Ferodo's are great and I haven't had a problem yet. Anyone wanna buy some Bendix Ultimates?
  6. Just don't let the boys in blue catch ya with this stuff on your tail lights cuz they'll be giving you an invitation to a party that ain't much fun.
  7. There is a yard near Geelong that has a contract to take these test vehicles from ford and destroy them. Not one single part is allowed to be removed by the yard from the cars before they're crushed but I've heard this doesn't always happen.

    replacing rotors

I bought DBA 4000's with pads but my dealer put them on at no charge. I've got the old rotors, standard pads and bendix pads under the house probably worth nothing to anyone.

    defects...

This thread could be as long as a piece of string. Pretty much anything that is non-standard fitment to a vehicle without an engineers certificate is deemed a defect. Most of the time it's just the mood the officer is in that will govern the amount of things he finds. But in keeping with the thread some I've seen are.. too low, too wider wheels, wearing a harness, sharp corners on front mounted intercooler, roll cage, no cat, too loud, gauges on dash, chromed mirrors, NOS etc etc.
  10. One news program stated she was driving a Skyline and last night they said it was a 300zx that was parked in her driveway. Which ever one it was she probably wanted to know if her car still had it's factory speed limiter. Unfortunately it's cost her quite a bit to find that out. I think she got off pretty light with 12 months suspension on her licence and $1000 fine.

    BRAKE SHUDDER ISSUE

I think you'll find if you have a chat to Steve from DBA that in the past Greenstuff pads have had issues on the DBA slotted rotors leaving deposits as you say. I think Greenstuff have rectified this buy introducing their new pad Ultra Greenstuff. Greenstuff are a good pad but I prefer the Ferrodo's mainly because I haven't had a problem yet with them.

    Brakes and Upgrades

I've got DBA 4000's with formula ferrodo pads all round and the difference from standard is excellant. The resistance to fade is increased greatly and I have no problems with shudder anymore. I cannot stress this more "Do not get Bendix Ultimates" they will ruin your rotors and will melt quite easiler like Cro said.
  13. Ford I believe already have one of these motors from Expensive Daewoo to play with. Ford has also already counteracted this power increase by altering the software in the BAII to run the variable valve timing independantly on the exhaust and inlet. I'm not sure what power the new BAII puts out but it's somewhere between 190-200 I've been told. The new Expensive Daewoo will surely have to gain weight, how much though who knows.

    Jack of the jack

I know exactly what you mean. It seems to take forever and a day to use the standard handle that rips your hands apart. That's why I bought a Sidchrome socket and bar thingy to make the job alot easier.
  15. Everyone is complaining about not gettin any runs. If it's street encounters that you want then you have to pick the right day and time to go looking. You have to make your apponent selection carefully, kinda like ordering dinner off the menu. Lots of cars that run under the 13sec bracket don't usually get driven to and from work. So Friday and Saturday nights plus Sunday afternoon I think are the best times to go for a cruz and don't think your untouchable in a T cuz I've seen a few get beaten. Not usual by commodores though.
  16. They've made some of australias fastest street registered cars so I would imagine they'd have a fairly good idea on how to tune up the T for some decent hp. Would be interesting to see what they've done and how they did it.
  17. A bigger thottle body would definately make a difference and I've thought about it over the last couple of weeks but I think I'd rather save the $700 and try for something from APS which would probably give you more gain. There is a fellow forum member here that has the throttle body installed on his N/A, maybe he could tell you more about it.
  18. To stop feathering on my front tyres I up'd the pressure to 42psi but left the rears at around 39psi other wise I found it a bit harder to get traction off the lights with 42 in the rear. With 18's I find I have to rotate them front to rear about every 7000klms.

    Strange, that

My guesses are that your getting your car fixed at Klosters Cardiff buy Paul Morgev. The lovelly piece of motoring that you are currently driving has been my drive car a few times. I have to say that they are quite a disappointing vehicle to drive and I don't how anyone could spend 20k on one. But it's better than walking or catching the bus I suppose.
  20. Mmm yeah exactly what I was thinking.
  21. I don't think reducing under bonnet heat is going to give you much of an effect on driver experience. Getting cold air to your intake is probably the best and cheapest mod with out installing an exhaust system.
  22. Yeah and the car shakes around like a dog does tryin to wag it's tail.
  23. Smithers' Computer: "Hello Smithers you are quite good at turning me on". Moes Tavern Crank call: Moe: "Moes Tavern" Bart: "Hello could I speak to a Amanda Hugnkiss" Moe: "Just a second I'll check, Amanda Hugnkiss, Amanda Hugnkiss, come on you guys I need a Man to Hug and kiss. Otto Man: "My Name is Otto I like to to get Blotto" I think I could go on forever cuz I've seen every episode what seems like a thousand times.
  24. I'm quite sure none of the BA range come with Trans coolers but I do know that some dealerships are fitting trans coolers to police vehicles as part of an upgrade.

    Scanners

yeah I've got one. I think its a 240xlt uniden bearcat. There a good item to have around when traveling on the roads or up to shady business etc. You just have to get one that suits your needs without too much over kill.
