Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the correct size tyre 235/40/18 for the 18" wheel. Because that's what's fitted to mine and many others I've seen. Going to a 45 series tyre would have a greater outside diameter and cause speedo error.

A friend of mine had them on his 300ZXTT and they stick quite well but didn't seem to last very long. Reasonably good budget tyre but I don't know what their wet weather performance is like.

I have one of these sitting on my desk right in front of me. It's the smallest turbo I've ever seen and its a VF series turbo.

I stand corrected. Good work Benny Can I ask for your thoughts on these <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nice wheel and should look rather big because the spoke goes right to the edge of the rim. It's always a huge decision when selecting wheels and can be really hard to find one that's going to suit the car. Deep dish with machine lip seems to be the style at the moment.

Go to the Tempe Tyres site they have them on special. Very popular wheel.

Why are you going to a big single when you could go to say two HKS GT2540's and they still fit your standard manifolds and are good for around 650-700hp. If they are too big for you then maybe the 2530's, there are some on ebay now for $2600.

Was this the first start of the car for that morning? If so it wouldn't be oil because nothing would be hot enough yet to burn the oil. I'd be definately looking at the electrical side of things and making sure everything works properly. The clicking sound would most probably be relays so open up the fuse/relay boxes and a have a looky.

Yep that sounds about right. That's exactly what I was told. The ford factory shuts down over Chistmas so that delays things a fair bit.

Got 15% You are a respectable tuner. You probably subscribe to one or more tuner magazines and know, quite a bit about your car and/or racing in general. Either that or you play a sh*tload of GT3. At any rate, you recognize the difference between a wastegate and a blow-off valve. In time, and with practice, you may attain "Racer X" status since it is supposed that you are relatively new to tuning and still have much to learn. Keep, working, and thank the maker that you're not a ricer.

I've got 18's and I run 41psi in the front and about 38 in the rear. I run higher in the front to try and stop the edges of the tyres wearing out due to roundabouts and brisk driving at times. If I had 17's I think I'd run about 39 front a nd about 37 rear.

I can see the headlines now. Man was admited to hospital today with a large screwdriver lodged in his skull. The incident occured while the man was trying to listen to a noisey alternator bearing and got the tool caught in the engines belt system.

Maybe it was just modified and had a fuel leak which leaded to a fire rather than it being stolen by someone.

only thing I find disgraceful about the ford optional 18's is the price.. at tempe tyres u can get some bloody good branded 18's with tyres for $1600+. look a damn side better than the factory jobbies to! I wish u could buy a XR with just stockie rims hey, that way u can save $$$,buy sh*t hot wheels and still have a set of burnout tyres with 4x good tread! ahh the life! I've been thinking this ever since I bought my first ford. It's never going to happen though because to take the value of what it costs ford for the wheels off the cars total price would be about $300 to us. Maybe they should just start putting decent wheels on their cars. FPV seem to have the right idea.

I had 10% on my AU and I've got 15% on my BA and I've never been hassled by the boys in blue. Probably wouldn't go below 15% again because it gets a little hard to see out of at night.
