  1. I'm guessing all the diagnostics would be done through the WDS on the BA's but I'm not sure.

    Vibrator Recall

Hmmm even better. Where can I get one for the misses.

    Vibrator Recall

That is the funniest thing I've heard in ages.

    Sydney Skid Pan

Make sure you have another set of tyres to go on the car after the day because there will be nothing left of them.

    G Tech

The one I have was imported from overseas and is able to be switched between KM and MPH no worries. Great fun to use because it can be put in just about anyones car.

    Hail Damage

Paintless dent removal is the way to go. I've had dents removed from a few of my cars and you wont even see they were there.
  7. RB74's are a great pad and are very popular in the WRX clubs because they're a good streetable pad and perform great at the track aswell. The only issue I have heard is that they wear rotors reasonably quick, but if you want perfromance then you have to expect wear. I considered the RB74's when I put new brakes on my car but at the time they hadn't quite been released for the BA and was told I'd have to wait a few weeks. So I got the ferrodo's instead.
  8. 1. IMHO if I was going to do a gearbox upgrade I'd more likely consider a Malwood T56 which I believe would be a cheaper and stronger option than the time and money it would take to install an auto. I'd imagine it would be quite difficult to do a manual to auto conversion considering the wiring harnesses etc. 2. I think it would all depend on your driving style and how you utilise your gearbox. With a stage three I wouldn't expect the standard gearbox to last too long.
  9. The best way to see if your car is performing, if you can spare the money is run it on the dyno. Then you've got a base reading if you plan to do mods in the future.
  10. So for all of us that are considering this mod what can we use now, seeing the DV-B400 is no longer available. Would the DV-B420 be able to be used ok or do we need to use the eMtech? Also I'm assuming the scart cable wiring diagram that cutsnake made fits both of these units. Sorry if these questions have already been answered but just wanna make sure. Thanks.
  11. Two is always better than one. Some of the fastest GTR's in the world run unbelieveably large twin turbo setups after having a big single which didn't provide enough air. For example twin 3037's over something like a single T51R. I don't think we'll be seeing twins on any of the ford line up mainly due to cost and really I can't see the need. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah well I think its the fastest GTR in the world uses a single. Singles will provide more boost than twins, the benefit of twins is you can run 2 smaller ones rather than one huge one and the smaller turbines will spool up faster <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sorry, you think wrong The HKS GT-R which is the worlds fastest runs two prototype HKS turbos... Cheers. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> World fastest GTR has GT3540R x2 running a 7.671 1/4 mile. Would be good to see the T with a reasonable twin turbo set up but with the torgue of a 4ltr engine that can already produce some quite impressive figures I can't see Ford throwing the money at it. I'm always willing to be proved wrong though.

    Intake Manifolds

If you were going to supercharge the n/a engine then it would be in the best interest to remove the butterfly valve set up as it would be a restriction in the intake and would prove to be no use to a forced induction system. I believe using the looped intake design off the n/a on the turbo as done from factory would actually be causing quite alot of turbulance but has been done by Ford as a cost saving exercise. APS and Nizpro of course have realised this and introduced their new designs.

    Intake Manifolds

I'd be careful when changing the factory intake plenum on the n/a with something like the APS or Nizpro design. The n/a from factory has a quite clever variable intake design that changes the length of the intake runners by a butterfly valve. These butterflies are closed at low revs making a long intake path which improves bottom end torque and then are opened at higher revs shortening the intake length to make power. Changing to a big intake plenum designed for the turbo maybe a backward step. Oh and if your thinking "but the turbo has the same manifold as the n/a" not true. The turbo manifold doesn't have the butteryfly valve because it's not needed with forced induction of course. Hope this helps.

  15. Maybe they should bolt something like these up to it.
  16. Is that a boost gauge I can see mounted up behind the steering wheel hehe. Street sleeper. A bit of elbow grease and some polish and it'll be looking fine.
  17. Sorry, I am really going to need to beg the differ on this one, My r33 GTS-T put out 265kw with about $3k of mods on it, that 80% of the skylines have fitted already, and I can guarentee 99% of young drivers of these cars have modded versions. They are not a "slow" car. Still, banning the cars will not stop people killing themselfs, they will just illegally kill themself. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> READ what he said - a standard car. NOT your modded version. Now Benny was not aware of the circumstances as he said - later news reports have claimed a high speed road race preceeded the incident. Now, on Milperra Rd that could be in an Astra doing 140kph - end result would have been the same. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Glad to see that you read my post as intended Turbo6man. I'm not here to lay blame or call people names. Just here to try and keep people open minded and find all the facts before believing the media and the bad name they're trying to give to fellow inthusiests and their cars. Unfortunately this crash incident is now pointing towards the act of street racing. Disappointing.
  18. Not much info on the circumstances of the accident. Was the driver of the Skyline at fault, was he speeding. Can't really blame the P plater without the full details. I wouldn't class a skyline as a high powered vehicle when a GTST only puts out roughly 180kw standard. I'm all for the restiction of P plate drivers in high powered vehicles but I can't see it fixing the problem of young deaths on our roads.

Simply an amazing piece of engineering but at a cost I'm sure. Another quality video from eatv8, thanks.
  20. I spoke to the suplier and the rims also come in 18x7.5 and I want 235 rubber on them. They are the same spec (size) as the Lowenheart rims that GOLDIE has so they should fit! They said they will fit. Finally found a rim that I like and would look good on the Fairmont <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Have you got a pic of these wheels.
  21. I wash my car with Maguires wash and wax soft gel using two different sponges. One for the car and one for the wheels. Brake dust is very abrasive to paint work and you don't want it getting into your sponge that you clean the car with. As for polishing/waxing I pay a detailer to polish and wax my car every three months or so because he does an excellent job and cheep too. Internal parts of the car I use baby oil because it doesn't dry the dash out like Armour-all does. On the tyres I use Maguires gloss tyre shine because it's the best I can find and doesn't flake off like alot of other painted on products do.
  22. If they fit an AU they'll fit the BA. Herrod put a set on a gold fairmont that was on their site not long ago. Not sure of anyone else sells this wheel.
  23. Pfffttt he doesn't even have his own Dyno. Mmmm GT3
  24. Yeah it seems to be fine nothing wrong with it. Pretty sure it's off a Subaru Legacy they run two of them. If you need parts or advice on building one then I might be able to help. A friend of mine built one, it's candy apple red. You've probly seen it if your in the Newcastle area.
  25. Possibly Ford isn't advertising how fast the Typhoon really goes because of all the hoohaa about fast cars and limiting horse power etc. Maybe there just waiting for the customers to find out for themselves. Just an idea.
