  1. Looks great, you should be proud. Many hours of fun to be had I'd say.
  2. As V8 FRD said the best option is to get your car on the dyno and see what figure the car is making and find out what boost the engine is getting. Most of the service departments Ford have don't have peopled skilled and enthuseastic enough to want to fault find your vehicle.
  3. Sure beats selling Lemonade and he's keepin it real.
  4. I think it's time to go and see C&V for a rebuild with some stronger internals. Would be interesting to see the looks on their faces when you turned up with it.
  5. Just a quick question. I'm on my second gearbox and I noticed when ford fitted the new box the car went back to having crisp sharp gear changes but after a few thousand kilometers it reverted back to the usual kind of flaring between gears. Will this shiftkit module work well for a while but then stress the box back to it's usual slow changes?
  6. Had to get mine done too. Both rear wheels were towing out but it's been lowered 50mm.

    Crash Files

The engine that's used in the Soarer is a 1JZGTE twin turbo the same motor used in the early Supra's. The motor is very well made and can make some very impessive figures when modified. Some people say it's toyota's version of a GTR motor. A friend of mine has one of these motors in a Cressida that's making around 500hp. The other version is the 4 litre quad cam V8 N/A called the 1UZFE which I don't know alot about.

    Petrol Prices

I've seen an e-mail similar to this so many times and it's old and just isn't going to work. As tupperware said maybe we should be pointing the finger more so at the government for having such high tax percentages on fuel.
  10. You definately need to have a really good look through your engine bay to make sure there isn't any leaks because as sixfan said depressurisation will affect the cooling systems ability. I had a leak off the bottom of my thermostat and also off the back of the water pump at different times but still didn't have the boiling problem you are experiencing. All depends on the size of the leak I'd say. If you can't find the leak then the only other option is pressure test the system when you take it in for the service.
  11. Have you been loosing water over the last couple of weeks while driving? The temperature of the water will raise sharpely when the engine is turned off because it's not getting cooled by the air rushing past the radiator and doesn't have the pump to circulate it. Some leaks and even hoses bursting occur when you stop because of the increase in pressure.
  12. What are the SO3's like compared to to original Dunnys. Are they noisy? Were they expensive <{POST_SNAPBACK}> From people that have had them fitted I've heard they are noisy. No more than the standard dunlops. They are one of the best tyres you can buy, and with that comes price. Expect about 300 - 500 for 17's. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Best price I could get in Newcastle was $425 for 18's Yoko AVS ES100 - $390 Cheers <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm in Newcastle too and if anyone wants S03's then I can get them for about $350ea for 18's. They are an amazing tyre and they've held on in situations were I thought it was all over. Bout 25k out of a set.
  13. This was the site I was refered to before buying my SO3's. Has some good info.
  14. If I was you I'd maybe think about the Nizpro N/A upgrade stages. Stage 1 being $1995 & 165rwkw. Just a suggestion.

    My New Car M3

Congatulations OwnaXR6T you should be proud to be driving such an awesome car that has performance and technology well past most things seen on Australian roads. Your the envy of alot of people I'd say. Don't know whether anyone else has seen this site but this is how far an M5 can be taken. http://www.discovery-automotive.com/portal...ic_Content&id=4

    Gas Conrods

I'm pretty sure from memory the targa car was fitted with gas rods.
  17. I bet you he's not looking at the photographer.

My last run up to the Gold Coast I averaged around 9-9.3L/100 with A/C on most of the way due to the heat. Pretty impressive I think for something that ways 1700kg.
  19. Current auto's were given to Ford and warrented up to 450nm from BTR I think.
  20. I think they do look good but will depend on the colour of the car and whether to get the chrome or black ones. I'd hate to buy a set, put them in and then decide I hate them. Wonder if they'd let me borrow a set.
  21. Definately not something to be too concerned about. The T is tuned from the factory to be a bit on the rich side so your going to see this unburnt fuel coming out when your on the loud pedal. This sort of soot can be very aparent in big hp cars that run without a cat.
  22. Mmmm M3.
  23. Electrical Engineering Supervisor for a large Steel company. The one that puts the steel into all the Fords we drive.
  24. The question you should ask yourself is can you afford to have both cars. If not then selling the WRX before you order would be a good idea.
  25. GTR's can definately be something to fear. My Brother Inlaw's GTR is on Carsales at the moment for sale. Immaculate car, runs 11.4 down the quarter and definately the fastest car I've driven. GTR's are just drastically over engineered which makes them such an awesome street car.
