  1. I think I would have prefered to spend the money on forced induction than install twin throttle bodies on an n/a motor. But each to their own, and there are quite a few guys on here that enjoy the n/a cars. Would be interesting to see this setup on a turbo motor.

    My T Is Gone

It's just standard procedure for police to fine you for neg drive when you crash your car and your at fault. I was charged neg drive when I wrote off my car and the insurance company still payed.
  3. You might be suprised at the power to weight ratio of the Mazda 3 MPS.
  4. I'd be interested in prices on a digital scanner to replace my Bearcat XLT Trunk Radio Scanner. I've also got two good quality Icom hand held UHF's which work really well.
  5. Yeah I thought it performed quite well compared to the petrol version they had it up against. Was good to see Jeremy racing against the Stig too.
  6. This has been around for quite sometime. There is a video that goes with these photos.
  7. Here's some pics of the Pacemaker Headers and the Nizpro ones as well. Nizpro ones look like they could be a good option but will require mods to the exhaust down stream.
  8. Nearly 200fwkw I would imagine to be a hand full in front wheel drive. Would be fun though.
  9. My brother inlaw's GTR is very similar to this. Can be quite scary to drive, the rev needle moves so fast you have to be aiming to shift at 8000 so you don't rev cut at 9000. It has 380awkw and runs an 11.3. No hassles getting all four wheels spinning in first and a little into second. Would love to own a GTR but insurance is too expensive.
  10. I went to Pedders because at the time no one else said they stocked anything for the rear of the BA. My new tyres had to go on and I didn't want to chew them out like the last ones. $400 does seem expensive but when you think about the 3hrs labour, materials and wheels alignment then it's not too outrageous.
  11. For me Handbrake (ongoing) New Gearbox. Water leak on back of water pump. Brake Shudder (Fixed with 4000series rotors and Ferodo Pads). Rear Main seal x 2. Paint chipping off boot caused by strip above rear number plate. Stalling (reflash) Stalling (Clean oil from throttle body) x 2 That's about it over 3 yrs
  12. Here's a few more pics from the Drive Day. Couldn't believe how many BA/BF supercharged V8's there were at the show, seemed like every second one.
  13. Fire extinguisher is one of the best investments for a car I think, especially if it's modified. You want it to be were you can get at it real quick. I remember witnessing a fuel fire in a friends engine bay while driving and it was just amazing how fast the flames appeared. Every second counts.
  14. If traction is what your after then I would suggest either the Dunlop SP Sport Max or the Michelin PS2's they seem to be the best two tyres on the market at the moment. As I have suggested on here before the S03's are an awesome gripping tyre but don't last very long at all. Cro is your man to talk to as he seems to have the most experiance with tyres on here.
  15. I'm Newcastle as well. Been here for the last 25yrs.

    Brake Pads

Common problem with Bendix Ultimates they are very dirty for their whole life not just bedding in. You will find that using just about any performance pad they will create more dust than standard pads. I clean my wheels every week and the bucket is usually pitch black at the end of each wash. I had Bendix pads for about 2 weeks and took them out due to them causing shudder, but I think they may have fixed that now.
  17. When I spoke to Whiteline the other day they told me they don't have camber kits for the rear of the BA. So I had to go to Pedders which cost me $400 fitted including and a four wheel wheel alignment. I had 2.5deg neg camber on the rear which was great for handling but seriously chewed the tyres out.
  18. I wouldn't say it was too cheap. http://www.redbookasiapacific.com/au/vehic...hp?key=FPV+04BB
  19. I to have this problem. My car is washed weekly with a seperate sponge to the wheels etc and the car is waxed probably every 6 months but it just seems that no matter how careful I am the swirls are slowly appearing. My car has only been buffed once and that was in pre-delivery where they all get done. I've been steering clear of any buffing to try and stop this scratched look. Kinda looks like millions of faint spider webs on your paint. I would love to know how to eliminate it.

    Gt6 Xr

It says in the ad it gets 9.8L per 100. I think not. It might say that on his display but that isn't what it's getting.

    Gt6 Xr

I've seen the same thing but on a N/A XR6 in Newcastle. Someone must be making these kits up. Very sad is my thoughts.
  22. It's hard to comment without seeing it in the flesh. Usually the Candy Apple range of colours can look very good on cars. Just have to wait and see I suppose.
  23. Very moving and reminds me of a friend that I went to school with that died a few years ago Racing at Phillip Island. RIP Stuart Mccoll.
  24. It's gotta go quicker than that. A standard XT will do a 15.3. Maybe a 14.6 would be more acceptable.
  25. You will also want to remove the butterfly valve that is in your intake manifold. This will be useless and will only add a restriction.
