  1. Have you checked the rear wheel bearings and the tightness of the main hub nuts each side? My previous FG did the same as you describe and it was a loose nut. Benny.
  2. Install a switch in the pink wire within the wiring loom in the engine bay. That or install an additional fuse within the wire which you can remove. Benny.
  3. You need to talk with Simon from XFT. He has experience installing a Kenne Bell 2.8l to a Miami. It is a fairly detailed mod from what I've read. The KPM 2300 mod would be an easier exercise I think. Benny.
  4. CHILLR, David at KPM does have a modified factory manifold that mounts the HTV2300 up top. That set up is currently making +500rwkw on a built motor. There has also been a few Kenne Bell units fitted to aussie Miami's. I'll try to find out who's done them and come back to you. Benny.
  5. You should be able to get them on a 10 inch wide wheel, which fits. Any wider than a 10 and you'll have to modify your control blade arms or pump the guards. Benny.
  6. I need a magnifying glass to read that CHILLR, lol. Benny.
  7. I agree with your opinion on the TC CHILLR. I feel it better to turn the tyres and steer it rather than have the car pulling power out and applying ABS to the spinning wheels. You torque figure being higher than mine could just be a dyno difference. I don't know enough about it to know why there is a difference. Have you got a graph of your power and torque? What gear was your tune done in?
  8. Great result CHILLR. When you do turn the TC off you'll notice how much it's been doing to reduce wheel spin. Especially at the top end of second gear, tyres just keep turning and quite easy to hit the limiter with it off. Benny.
  9. Wow you are gonna love it going from 260 to 410-420. Hold on tight, haha. Benny.
  10. "Full on attack" It certainly sounds like that sometimes. Haha love it. Benny.
  11. I believe my GT feels safer to drive than my old FG turbo. Torque delivery is strong but progressive. The Turbo was sledge hammer torque delivery at 3000rpm and worrying if anyone not accustomed to it was behind the wheel. Benny.
  12. CHILLR I think with a 10 on the rear in a +35 offset will push the wheel too far out past the guard. 38 would be as far as I'd go. I'm running a +40 and it's flush. Benny.
  13. Ford Number 1 can you let us know how much this cost? Thanks, Benny.
  14. Yeah the tyres will fit fine. What offset and size are the new wheels? Benny.
  15. CHILLR, I've seen no change in my fuel economy with the increased HP. Certainly if your 'on it' then it's going to use more fuel but with my weekly commutes to work and back I've seen no change. From factory the car is tuned quite rich so if you get a tune only and drove the same then there would be a fuel economy improvement. The extra torque with a tune will also aid the car getting up hills without the need for the ZF to shift back. Benny.
  16. Welcome to the forums Scott. As above we need some pics of your fine piece of Ford performace motoring. Every so often 4B Action on Mitchell Road Cardiff hold a dyno day for anyone who wants to ramp their car up. I'm not sure when the next one will be but if you can't wait then go and see Mark at Streamline Automotive. He can run your car up and also tune it if that's what you would like to do. He's tuned countless turbo Falcons as well as my GT. Benny.

    Your Gs Mods

Nice parts list Southside. Good luck with the tuning. Benny.

    Your Gs Mods

450+ rwkw here you come Southside. Benny.
  19. Have you upgraded your centre bearing? If so have you made sure the centre height is the same as the oem bearing? Benny.
  20. Thanks. I was wondering if my factory GT wheels would fit over them. Even though I don't have them on my car at this stage if I got these I'd still want to have the option of putting the stock wheels back on. Might be better if they don't, might save me some money, lol Benny.
  21. Playrz, This is one of the best looking F6's I've seen. You've done a great job at selecting your parts. Do you know if your brake kit fits under the factory Ford 19 in wheels? Cheers, Benny.
  22. For $1250 you can get an aftermarket shaft rated at 1000hp so I wouldn't go buying an oem Ford unit. Benny.
  23. Try to get an R Spec centre bearing if you can. They are upgraded I'm lead to believe. That or upgrade to an aftermarket 1310 series bearing. Benny.
  24. If you want real stopping power then I'd suggest Harrop, next step down would be 6 piston brembos as standard on the GT-P. Have a talk with Matt from Racebrakes, he will have lots of good info and prices for you. I installed 4000 series rotors and Ferodo DS pads to my FG Turbo and they performed very well for spirited street use and at Wakfield Park but if you want the best then big rotors and calipers are the go. Benny.
