  1. I'd be returning it to standard and see if it fixes it. If not then fuse checking time or disconnecting battery for a while. Benny

Great result. What mods have you got and what power did you make stock? Got a dyno graph for us? I'm sure your loving the new found power. Benny
  3. Great article and well written but I also agree with I.B. Mr Hamilton should have shown more restraint and maturity considering his profile. Benny
  4. Flash tune means Capa Flash box with full custom tune on the dyno. Please don't use generic tunes. Too hit and miss. Every car and engine is different. Benny
  5. Depending on the dyno you get on will govern what power figure you get but I managed 301rwkw on just tune and injectors up from 253 standard. With dump pipe, cat and intercooler 336rwkw. Im still using a standard air intake and factory air filter. Benny
  6. I've had the same issue for the last few months and haven't changed any software. I just use normal Windows Explorer. I thought it was something that the site had done which was causing it. Benny
  7. The Teins are great if you have the coin then get them. I love mine but the edfc would be a nice addition I don't have. My car handles much better and felt good at the track. Benny
  8. Oh well dude you took the chance and lucked out. It's a big decision and a hard one to make. I hate making them. Your lucky they left you with one point. What does the not give stop signal when stopping suddenly mean? Benny

    Hawk Brake Pads

I'd second the comment to steer clear of drilled rotors. Always crack around the holes. Benny
  10. That's interesting. Would be good to see a comparison between the two.Benny
  11. Are they designed to supersede the PS2's? Benny
  12. My economy around the city is about 14L/100 and that's with very short trips of 15 min to and from work and few squirts here and there. On the highway I can get around 8.9L at best. On factory tune around the city I could manage 12.5 or so. Benny
  13. What they are for is to provide better cooling for the engine and trans oil. If you drive your car hard or hit the track then they are a good investment. Easy to install and not that expensive. Benny
  14. My FG is lowered and like you I have wooden ramps to drive up on to fit my race jack under the front. For the front I jack using the cross member, the rear I use the diff and for the side I jack the car off the side rail to lift the whole side of the car at once. Make sure you use a good thick peice of rubber between the jack and the car. Benny
  15. If your going the P Zeros then the Nero's aren't that good I've been told. I have the top P Zeros and they are the best tyre I've had but they will cost you. Conti 3's are pretty good from reviews. Hvae you considered Goodyear Asymetrical or Michelen PS2's? Benny
  16. Tune and injectors would be the best money spent I reckon. Benny
  17. Depends how much you value your gearbox really. It can be tuned out but it's only going to cause more stress for the ZF. With a decent tuned FG making close to 1000nm at the engine then surely spark retard is going to improve reliability. Benny
  18. So it hasn't broken? Just popped out from the clamping? I'd be trying to clean the surfaces and reclamping with a new clamp. Benny

All normal mate. As Tab said this is a new addition with the FG to reduce under boonet temps and improve longevity of components. Mine seems very inconsistent with it coming on even when I've been driving like an old lady. Benny
  20. You should try eating at the markets in Thailand. You're lucky to find something in your meal that you recognise. Most of it is beattles, grubs etc. The old lettuce is usually a good source for unwanted surprises is your meal here. They just don't seem to wash them that well in some restaurants. Benny
  21. Deep dish on rims is what makes them look so good. But changing the offset and pumping the rims right out surely has gotta take it's toll on the wheel bearings. Benny.
  22. Any one of our site sponsors will be happy to help you out and do good work. Everyone has their own preferences so it's going to be completely up to you. Tunehouse is my preferred workshop at Marrickville ph 95574000, I think they're not far from where you are. Benny
  23. Now that is a tough looking car. Those Brembos and black wheels are looking the part. Benny
  24. Yeah the ZF is great, shifts well and easy to use but like you said the kink in the straight is the section I need to master. With 180kph under your belt heading in it's a bit scary trying to power through it and brake afterwards. I need better brakes. Benny
  25. Those R888's and brembos will make a big difference to your track times. Wakefield is a fun day. I might be keen, will have to see if I can get down there. Benny
