  1. Keep us posted on the mods Paul. Looks like this new toy is going to handle very well. I'll have to be on my game chasing you now. Benny
  2. Cool thanks. I'm gonna go for 30/19's. Just gotta find something good. Benny
  3. Fords words are. "Transient over boost technology allows up to 10% over boost for up to 10 seconds. It allows torque to increase above the advertised fiqures for improved performance and reduced overtaking times". I'm unsure what the torque figures are. This is for manual and auto both XR and G6ET. Benny
  4. What tyres are you running on the back and how much? I'm considering 275's for mine? Benny
  5. I'm with you Mika, I couldn't resist and look what happened. Very capable car with mods. Benny
  6. If you like giving your car a good squirt then new pads are a good option. Standard pads aren't real good. Benny
  7. Sounds good Dean. You got a dyno graph for us? How's the traction with the new found power? Benny
  8. My mate has just bought one of these and yes they are nice. He's looking to modify soon also. Another guy I know has a blown one which is pretty impressive. The blown one was tuned by Redcliffe in QLD but I think I'd go with HPF. Benny
  9. Pretty sure BA XR wheels will not fit over the Brembos you have. There are two options you can go for either a set of semi's you can drive around on and use at the track or have another set of wheels for track work only. If you go for the first option then KU36's are great but come in only number of 19 inch sizes that don't suit the Falcon. If you 18's then all good. I've heard they are ok at the track but not the best. If you go the second option then a seperate set of wheels preferrably 18 inch will allow for many different options for tyres. I'd probably go for a set of Toyo R888's. Benny
  10. Bring on the drive Paul I'm keen to give the car a good blast. I need new pads soon so might see a little more brake smoke than last time we went, lol. Benny
  11. Have you considered Pirelli P Zeros or Michelin PS 2 or 3 or importing somethin from Tire Rack in the States like RE11's? Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 Benny
  12. Great idea to have this data available but not in a Grange. I've thought Ford should do the same for the FPV and XR models for years. I think the track data is a wank, especially the Mount Panarama circuit. Who gets to do lap times there in a street car. Benny.
  13. You may have damaged your cat and thus the engine light is on or it might be just from givin it a hard time and running a little rich. I'd get it reset with a scan tool and see if it comes back. I'm happy to do it for you with my scan tool but you probably don't live near me. Benny
  14. My opinion would be to disconnect the radiator transcooler section and plumb into an aftermarket cooler. This can either be mounted in the front of the car where air flow is or have it installed somewhere else with a fan to circulate air. There are many differing locations and installs that have been on here over the years. I'm sure someone will be along with some pics soon. I think I may have some also. Have to look. Benny
  15. Very nice. No change to tyre size. Hope that doesn't mean width. Without wider tyres this will be very disappointing. Benny
  16. Not sure if it's readily available as the turbo is custom made for Ford. Benny
  17. Worm has got the right idea. Benny
  18. The visual difference between in the same brand of tyre from 245 to 235 will be vitually impossible to see. There will be a load and circumference difference though so check that. I also doubt anyone could tell any difference in handling either. Benny
  19. Ben, Have a look on ebay as they are on there for $220. The mounting holes are different I believe so the old holes will have to be filled or a different boot lid used. I think it'd look good so go for it. Benny
  20. Spotted a Blue unmarked FG XR6T at the end of the F3 near Hornsby today. Benny
  21. Congratulations Zap. Benny
  22. Have no problems with mine yet but as you can imagine with any springs overtime they will sag and become lazy. So they will need changing eventually. Benny
  23. Geez when ya think someone's being nice they just change their offer. Hahaha just kidding I wouldn't be rude enough to think I could drive around.Benny
  24. The RE01R is great also I believe. Think you need to order them through Tire Rack though as I don't know if anyone sells them here in Oz. Benny
  25. Geez you don't get an offer like that very often. Much appreciated but I live in Newcastle. Thanks for the offer.Benny
