  1. The best gear to use is a gear that has a ratio closest to 1:1. Manual selection of this gear in an auto is required to stop the transmission up shifting while doing the power run. Benny
  2. The FG XR manifold will position the turbo in a slightly different position. Not the same as the BA/BF or FG F6. Benny
  3. I have this problem constantly from parking at work. It does stain the paint but seems to fade away after a while. If not then my car would be stuffed by now. Benny
  4. That's right Paul. I'm pretty sure you can only rev them right up in "Park".
  5. Yeah awesome day and Lake St Clair is a top spot, wise decision to take a run up there. As all have said it was good to put some faces to names and see the cars up close. The drive back was fun too with you Ras351, good bit of road to stretch the legs and give the car some much needed exercise. Benny
  6. Yep it's called a Torx Bit. If you go to Jaycar or the like you should be able to buy a small set of security bits that will fit all small strange screws like that. Benny
  7. That's it Fierce it's over to the right when you get to the roundabout at the end of the freeway. Benny
  8. What a great sounding car. Ford has really got it right with the engine and exhaust. Just makes me want one more and more. The mods and progress with these is going to be exciting to see unfold. Benny.
  9. If the car has an alarm then I'd assume there would be a bonnet switch that is causing you the troubles. Benny
  10. Rhino, lol. Sounds like he's enjoyed himself. Benny
  11. You'll never stop the loss of power from hot weather, just reduce the effect. The difference in power between a 10 deg day and a 30 deg day is substantial. As the guys say bigger cooler will make a good improvement. Benny
  12. The worst thing about Revfest was the Defect and EPA station out the front pulling cars in and handing out fines and notices. Just rediculous that an event is held and then the police pounce on all the people who attend. Benny.
  13. It's basically a heat exchanger so water is used to cool the oil. So technically water and oil go through it but in seperate chambers. Benny
  14. My old ED does this quite loudly when idling in the driveway. My FG doesn't and my old BA didn't either. Benny
  15. Just thought I'd mention Klosters has a new blown GT in the showroom if any of you guys were interested in havin a look. Benny
  16. Interesting read. Looks like you need an engineers certificate for non oem brake upgrades. Benny
  17. In that case I'll do my best to make it. That car is starting to sound pretty damn good Paul. I think a drive down your way is in order as well.Benny
  18. I was hoping to but wont know till I get closer.Benny
  19. I have the same setup at Corzza and it's great. Only slight increase in volume at cruise and idle and plenty more flow. Benny
  20. Everytime I've been for a tune I come home with a huge smile and a bit shaky from the adrenilin. You should definately notice a difference with that much of an increase. You sure it's got the right tune flashed and not the standard tune or valae tune? Benny
  21. Great pics. Was a great day yesterday. Hopefully just as good today. Benny
  22. The Oil Cooler has a seal between it and the block. The oil filter obviously has a seal to the oil cooler as well. Benny
  23. For the FG you can install the lower air box and snorkle from the GT. This will help the car breath and possibly improve performance. Benny
  24. I'd suggest going some DBA 4000's with some performance pads and brake fluid. This will be plenty good enough for the street and reduce fade by leaps and bounds. No need to do rears. Benny
  25. The SP Sport Maxx were not a bad tyre and won Motor Magazine tyre test 2008 I think. Not sure how this tyre would be. Might be ok. Benny
