  1. my question wasnt aimed at the quality of your fuel setup john, it looks bombed for the record (that said anything can be formula 1 spec but its its not in accordance with ADR's than your rooted). rather that if the pit guys have an issue with it I.e. had you been over with it, specifically the briaded lines, in line filters, fuel reg etc. plenty of engineers have told me briaded lines arent an issue but if you get a cock of a pit inspector than it can be, was what I was getting at. if you havent been to the pits yet, I would also suggest going to o`connor by the way. I took my brothers cosworth evo 7 over there and it was A LOT easier than when I`ve been to welshpool. you should pass the 5 gas test fairly easily, I didnt have any probs and a couple of mates with blown 8`s that did pretty well on 5 gas but not so great with the IM240
  2. John, did you have permits before you got stickered?? have you got yours off yet? how`d you go with your fuel pump setup?? wasnt worth the hastle trying to be legit with the IM240, now that they have scaped that I have permits for all my mods
  3. cant do any harm to try.
  4. saw some pics of what I thought was your evo F6 UTE the other week at barbs but wasnt sure if it was you as there is a similar stickered one running around. what times you end up knocking out with the new turbs? cant say I`ve ever met Phil, but always good news to hear people are ok after something like that happens. I guess its something that just gets overlooked when someones gone to the effort of brake ducting etc, you`d expect to lose all brake feel before that would happen. I`ll be upgrading mine before heading back out to barbs that's for sure.
  5. so your still doing the Australian tarmac challange?? game on now I have suspension.
  6. what happened to your coolant?
  7. nice effort and a good result. can I ask what seats you have? dont look stock
  8. if you`d made it out on the cruise brendan you would have seen it well at least the diff and tailshaft as it has a 7foot lift kit atm.
  9. grug. was that you on saturday nights cruise?? if so did you do the second leg I.e berry rd etc, I was at the caltex service waiting for people to turn right onto toodyay rd but people just filtered out in dribs and went left so I assumed it failed.
  10. scotty, the defi's hiddious has posted are "blue racers" they are 52mm and dont require a link module. the black face (BF) series defi's I have is 60mm and I just stuck it to me dashboard, these require the control module, you can set warning lights to what ever you want and can record the gauges movement for a minute and replay if you ever need to. I picked up a set of 5 for 1000.
  11. u still need an amp. there are only speaker wire outputs from the factory dash, amps need rca's, the line converter will take the speakerwire output and conver to an rca cable input to run into the amp.
  12. defi's are where its at. that is all.
  13. nice amendment karl I had thought originally why someone couldnt just step it out at the bottom. still dont think it will be big enough for people pushing the boundaries but a pretty cool concept. there is no reason why the bottom bit couldnt be like 150mm thick and bring it right out to the front of the bumper.
  14. you going to be over here with the car in october jon? I have 63 tyres ready and waiting for gazzanats, would be good if you could join me adrian and dean in the skids festival. (might have to do some testing of those tyres around the 11th though just to make sure they are still round and all )
  15. what colour are the inner gaurds and the fire wall inside your engine bay?
  16. thanks for organising D. had a wee moment of excitement seeing the 5-0, but been responsible had nothing to worry about. :o and prompt pub meals ftw. keen for another in the none to distant future.
  17. I would recommend that you change the meet point D, the Tradesman expo is on that the burswood this weekend and its choccas in all the carparks. also I would prefer to not go back, might be enticed into spending even more money there, end of year tax deductions FTW.
  18. sorry fans but I think I`m out. having to pick up power steering pump for my kinger in margret river on sunday (why he cant post it is beyond me) unless you all want to have a long cruise south?? lol. I might be able to make it there and back by 11, but will see how I go.
  19. brendan, I`ve got a mate that is a bit of a nerd and massively into cb radios and sh*t and has plenty of spares, can hit him up for a cheap second handy if you want. will also just ask him for recomendations:price ratio. from my limited knowledge its best to spend coin on the aireal. (you sorted for spotlights? I have a pair I`m willing to offload for the right price ) you coming on cruise? can bring them with me for you to have a look at if you wish. (cb and/or lights that is)
  20. keen as bollocks for cruise, just need to find me a matching set of wheels. dont think dean will like me chopping out his T1R's lol.
  21. [u R SOUL] here in WA, suprised they got away with that one to be honest.
  22. cheers mark, and others for the positive comments.
  23. hahah you make me laugh. I`m not playing your petty games kael. thought you might have grown up by now. I ran a 10.973 at 129.95mph which is a p.b for me. it ran what it ran, read into it as much as you want make up as many stories as you want.I`m chuffed with the time and I drove it home at the end of the day so I`m happy. had a great day organised by dean and will be looking at organising another when the season reopens but till then bigger things to think about at the moment like getting it ready for the Australian tarmac challange and getting my HQ back on the road
  24. ahaha, reflection in mirror reminded me of dude selling kettle on ebay, thankfully you have pant on mike.
