  1. I don't eat broccoli for nutrients it's more a filler. I saw a good little YouTube clip of Mr O talking about his meal plan and it consists of basically no greens. He gets most of those vitamins in other forms so there's really no need for them. Cook the broccoli!
  2. Some of the sh*t you see at my gym would make you shake your head with shame... Today alone I saw a young guy super setting deadlifts with bicep curls, however he had more weight on each arm than he had on the bar. 25kgs each side throwing them up using more of his back than arm. The guy was half my size and I do half that weight. Maybe its a lat, bicep, isolation curl THAT I DONT KNOW ABOUT!!! lol There was yet another guy that came into the weight room with thongs on ready to lift the iron. Was obviously asked to leave.. In the last week that would make 3 I have seen. Who the f*ck wears things into a gym? REALLY!! Then there was the old dude that was sat at the preacher curl bench reading a book BETWEEN SETS! that's right, he would do his 12, put the bar down, grab his book read a page then do another set.... WTF?? Hahaha im not a gym nazi by any means I just dont understand why on a day like today you would waste your time in the gym giving anything less than 100%. Better off reading your book in the park and having a jog.
  3. I eat a muesli bar on the way to the gym. I noticed a difference in my energy level when I started doing that and its working so far.
  4. Ok, so to follow on from Senna a few weeks back I decided to post some progress pics. Still a long ways to go but exactly 6 months to the day I am very happy with where I am at considering I have done purely for myself by myself. First pics I weighed 92kg and very soft. Second set im at 81.5lg with a bit more muscle, especially on my arms and chest so safe to say I have lost well over 10kgs of fat. Sorry if this isnt what peeps might want to see, if so feel free to delete the post. Ill be honest I am extremely proud of myself. I looked that unhealthy or worse since my early 20s (now 30) and ill never go back to that.... Look at how unhappy I was haha PATHETIC!!
  5. He I have the rocks twitter. Guy is an inspiration. I get dizzy a bit or light headed means I'm going hard and I like the feeling tbh. I haven't fainted in the gym before but have thrown up. It's all part of the process lol. Pazz, I would agree with you if it wasn't for the improvements Shawn Rhoden made in a year while still competing. Guys like Phil and Kai got auto qualifiers last year and spent a full 12 months preparing. Imagine what this guy is going to do next year. Aesthetically, he is as good if not better. I can't wait! Makes me want to compete lol
  6. Olympia ended being much closer than expected and some say Kai was a little stiff not getting the number 1 spot. It's well worth watching the webcast replays, most guys were in amazing condition and Shawn Rhoden will be pushing Phil next year no doubt!! Loved it
  7. Cruise looks like its going to be the usual mass event cluster f*ck where there are 100 cops and 500 dick heads and clapped out POS doing burn outs and smashing into each other.
  8. IIFYM lol
  9. I have broccoli more so than salad. I eat a lot of protein not only because I like it but it naturally makes you feel fuller anyway. For most if not all my meals ill fry up some chicken breast, steam broccoli and once it's all cooked ill slice it up throw it in a pan with some oyster sauce, soy and chilli. Tastes amazing for a quick lean meal and really hasn't bored me after 6 months of making it a major part of my diet.
  10. According to the most recent info I have seen Cutler is out of this years Olympia as well as Victor Martinez. Maybe he got in shape late and has changed that. the most recent info I could find http://www.musculardevelopment.com/contests/2012-mr-olympia/4678-cutler-waiting-for-2013.html
  11. Good eating is all in the prep. Well that's what I have found over my journey. You need to be up that little bit earlier or sleep a little later to prepare your meals for the next day. For example last night I had chicken breast for dinner. I threw an extra one on and cut it up for lunch today. I got up at 430 to make sure I had enough time to cook breaky, worked from 530-1530, gym 1600-1800 and home to eat my steak I defrosted last night. I dont eat much sugar and rarely have bread. 6 pieces a day, even if it was rye is way to much. that's pretty much I have gone about it the last 6 months and ill be honest my results so far are f*ckin crazy. Its like most things though, if its that important you will make time. I spent years telling myself I didnt have the time to go to the gym or eat well but but I am busier than I ever have been and never miss a day. I still have a mile to go and I am by no means an expert but in 6 months I have completely changed myself physically and mentally and it all started with my diet...
  12. OLYMPIA NEXT WEEKEND!! Being streamed live on the Olympia website on our Saturday and Sunday mornings. Was a good watch last year but im guessing it wont be as exciting with Jay and Victor pulling out. It will basically be the battle for second which will be awesome! Does anyone go to any shows down here in Melbourne? Amateur or pro?
  13. 14kg over how long? Is it all muscle or are you leaning up as well? Get on it Pazz!
  14. Well that's great after the fact Pazzo!! haha Ill give it a look at some point I was very happy with what everything cost me today anyway.
  15. Good ol *Beep*. At least he finally got his rig sorted. Im sure he regrets the way he went about things. Hey, I have been banned before. But in the end this community is to good to not be a part of.
  16. Anyone been to A1 Supplements on Bell St?? That place is craaaaaaaazy... I picked up some new pre workout to replace my Meso and a test booster as well as some protein. The guy, who was awesome by the way, recommended "Swollen" and holy sh*t is it good. I got twice the pump and half the come down I was getting with Mesomorph. Its by far the best pre workout I have tried. I wont be buying my gear from anywhere else in the future, I highly suggest you try and check it out. Its worth a drive for you boys down in the Sth East and even further.
  17. Scooby is great! One tip, have a goal. Dont just "try get fit".. What does that mean to you? Put on a heap of muscle? Lose a ton of fat? Bit of both? Its very hard to structure a good routine and eating plan unless you have an end goal. Mine is to get to 85 kg with 10% body fat by 1ts April next year. I started at about 90kg and well over 20% April 1 this year, Im well on track and couldnt be happier
  18. My car does the exact same thing but it ticks a lot on cold start. I would guess I have a stuffed lifter and a big bottom end knock.. We should make a thread "how sick is your car!" and we can all compare sob stories haha I think I would win hands down considering how bad mine is but she still goes very hard!
  19. Hit it twice today. Went to fitness first in Russel st with my bro (he's a bit of a beast) and I must say that is a great gym... Best chest work out I have ever had. What are melbournes best gyms from some of you guys that have been around a bit?
  20. Tell that to Kai Greene... Rarely takes his hoodie off.. I train in track and a jumper most of the time shorts on leg days but not always. Take off the jumper/hoodie when I do my cardio but I like to stay really warm and to be honest I dont find it restricting at all. And yes I go hard... Any up to post progress pics? Im maybe a month off reaching my goal. But extremely happy with how I am progressing..
  21. It's traction control I'm pretty sure mate. You can get it tuned out. Try your run again with it off.
  22. Owned both and I agree with most of what has been said about each car. I am a Expensive Daewoo and regret selling my SS not because it's a better car but I have changed a fair bit over the last 3 years of owning my FG and to be honest the SS is what I would prefer to have now. If you want a nice cruiser that has a little bit if go and don't intend on flung to much to it get the SS. If you want the bragging rites, 300+ atw then the FG is the way to go. It's stupid how quick these things are for such little money. Such a placid easy to live with car unless you give it a boot. If you were going to keep it stock though then I would always go for a big V8.. My turbo as much as I love it just doesn't get your heart racing unless you're really putting your foot down which I don't do a lot of.
  23. Ah ok awesome!! Ye I read somewhere that 65% of your max heart rate is about where you want to be which would equate to about 140 for me. I just feel I'm being lazy around that area lol
  24. Can you do to much cardio? I still have quite a bit of chub so I assume my body would use that as fuel before my muscle. I do 45 mins after every workout and feel all that much better for it. I try keep my heart rate around 160 or above. I know anything is better than nothing when wanting to lose weight but there is so much conflicting info out there about cardio I just don't know if I'm on the right track.
  25. Ye me to lol!! Really starting to nail chest and seeing the difference! Also added 45 of cardio after every work out. Its making a huge difference as well... I used to hate it now I cant leave the gym unless I have done it.
