  2. Its all about perception and videos like this dont do us any justice. We already have the "law" all over our backsides for just driving a car with a turbo badge on it, we dont need vids like this to draw more attention to the issue. Why even make a vid like that for anyone other than yourself? It just seems like a really wanky immature thing to do. Ye you got a fast car bro, I get it, but so do most of us.   5. No and yes. I had to run a 3.5" Herrod system as at the time Xforce didnt have a 4" that would fit a Ute. I dont think that has changed but please correct me if im wrong. As for flowing 500rwkw, im pretty sure most 4" systems will. I know the Nizpro one does but once again they could not provide me with a 4" for my FG.

Just make it comfy and reliable, much more worth while if youre driving the HWY until 4am lol

I haven't driven an FG F6 but if it's anything like my old BA trust me you don't, unless of course you are buying your car to tune it and the larger turbo is of benefit otherwise what purpose does it serve? The top end is better Ye but how often are you doing 100km/h let alone 100mp/h where the difference between the 2 becomes more apparent. I guess my FG drives mire like my old Bogan special than the BA if that even makes sense just due to how responsive it is down low and I really like driving it because of that.

    been going the last few years. Gold coin donation, lots of extremely tough cars and cops come by to check them out and do little or no harrasment. Its worth the trip from Carlton where I am if that's anything to go by.
  14. Smaller turbo in my FG is gold... and saying that most people these days want over 330rwkw is stupid. Out of the many Ts I see on the road on any given day very few are modded. Even fewer would have over 330rwkw. Its most certainly the greatest point of difference when driving my FG compared to my BA which had around the same power maybe a little more.
  15. Ye had mine for about 14 months and only started noticing is after I had some work done but exactly the same thing. Its cold, go to take off, hesitates then she fine. Im glad its a common issue but still for a new car to be doing that is not cool.
  16. was out around 1130 saw 5 cop cars between Dandy and Clayton... 3 of them had pulled over imports, one very tough looking R34. Feel sorry for the guys driving Jap cars as they seem to get picked on quite a bit. Most of the cars wouldnt even have half the work mine does and be far more "legal" but being a plain white debadged UTE no one ever questions it.. So ye I went home early..
  17. Im in the same possy as you. Actually I have made up my mine to sell just waiting to knock off a little more so I can come out even as I took a bit of negative equity into this loan after I sold my Bogan special . I love my FG mate I really do but in the end it is just a car. Im 28, I think at this point of my life owning a 40k UTE with 10k under the bonnet costing me over $100 a week for petrol and $1500 a year insurance should be at the bottom of my list of prioritys.

Also read the fine print about the need of an exhaust and possible clutch and or gearbox. I believe I suggested that would be the case some 40 odds posts ago lol. Im sure that is a conservative number especially with an E3 GTS but far from 470rwkw let alone 500.

  21. I dont know if youre stupid or you just like making yourself out to be a massive tool... My post was directed to the post below yours and the point he was making was much the same as the point I was trying to make.. 10k will not get you a TT kit fitted, tuned and capable of getting 500rwkw... Not even f*ckin close. 10k might get you a kit that consists of a couple of turbos and some piping. Wont include a fuel system, clutch/trans upgrade, exhaust and of course fitting tuning. If it was a budget option there would a lot more people out there doing it but as I found out when I wanted to charge my old Bogan special , it really isnt as cheap as you might think. I would be happy to be corrected if I was wrong, so if anyone out there has been able to or know of someone that has been able to get 500rwkw out of an LS3 for 10k I would love to hear about it. Thanks
  22. LS3's have been seeing 350+ with a big cam and a few other goodies. Packages are below 10k. To go to 400 is another story but in saying that, the sky is the limit once you throw FI at these 6.2l V8s. In an FG like mine I got close to 350 with around 10k but that was well over 12 months ago and with the amount of R&D you could probably get close to 400 on that amount. In an FG F6, I wouldnt know but I would assume it wouldnt be anything close to 20k or even 10 for that matter. The ease in which these cars produce good power is really amazing, was the determining factor when moving from my Bogan special to my FG. But it all goes to waste these days as I dont race and living in the CBD I rarely get to make the most of its power.
  23. Its a tune issue mate I wouldnt freak out to much. You wont get the fix on this forum, might as well give it back to who tuned it and get them to sort it out.
