  1. Cheers guys for all the info, As NFORCD said if im gonna go with the xr6t fg I might as well wait till the series 2 comes. I wont be going crazy with the engine but only a few mods in the near future. Does the Fg xr6t got 20nm torque less then the typhoon because of the smaller turbo? But nothing's happening till I sell my BA which prob be going up for sale in about a month. Been looking over the net for 03 BA 6t and they averaging about $19k (depending on kms and state of coarse)Hopefully then ill be able to upgrade.
  2. Hey all last month or two been looking at upgrading the BA xr6t for a FPV Typhoon BF or FG xr6t. Over the sale websites they are both around my price range of about $40k. Been looking all over the forums and cant realy decide. Has anyone been in this situation before? What car is the easiest one to upgrade eg: tuning. If I had the money I would go with the FPV FG F6 but ive set my self a limit. From the way I see it that the FG is alot more modern car and apparently has the same output as the typhoon. Anyone got any ideas it be great? :smilelove: Cheers Tom
  3. Viper Purple looks real close to Ba Phantom is it different at all? I wouldn't mind that F6 in Viper CSP showed looks real Tuff, Definally with those dark agents..

  5. got the same problem on my BA too alexfinch89. all the same just for me the ABS sign is always on, and T/C is always off. (lights light up). im gonna get it checked out.
  6. no idea , its weird my August 2003 made xr6T doesnt have it, but my mates june 2003 made Xr8 does. any way ORSMBA im interesting in getting the blue xr window switches on my sedan. whats the best way to get contact for details. phone or email? Tom
  7. hey im just looking to lowering my car but not too low, how much will I be looking in country wa. I just havent got the time to run down to local suspension shop to get a quote, working too much... cheers tom.
  8. I have the exact same Problem on my BA xrt 03 as well. havent had the time to run it round to a mechanic. if you end up finding the problem post it up.... cheers

  10. um sorta sounds like somthing mechanical but could be metal on metal not real sure. ahhh ok probally is, you know how much ford will charge to fix it at all? or should I wait another 800kms when service is due?

Lately ive had the ABS sign appear on my dash when driving along. now and then when slowing down and braking I get a crunching/griding sound at the front of the car around the brakes and its kinda loud. doesnt sound good and certainly doesnt feel good when it seems like the brakes are slipping. I dont know if I need new brakes or I have a serouis ABS problem/ Traction control. Should dropping the car off at Ford be the best thing to do? Hope someone can help.
  12. Thanks mate those spark plugs did well. I got the NGK BKR6EIX. Got 2 questions. 1st is there any harm of returning back to stock a few times and custom tuning it again. (main reason was just to test the diffrence). secondly when the custom tune is installed, can you flash it again but change some options eg: gear shift, axle ratio. or do you have to return back to stock and load it all again cause that's what I have been doing...   13. Done, sounds nice when accelerating and is kinda loud , im running only stock boost at the moment, hopefully try flash to 8psi by tommorow. In the end cost me $70 which is pretty good, when I heard people saying costing $100+ in the city. thanks all for the pics
  14. just went down then, got it booked in tommorow morning. I think the pics helped thanks kona86. But he said he's gonna cut the muffler off and add some pipes where the muffler was. he said hes gonna just keep the flanges which are already on there. Will that effect anything cause it has the bend in it ? different sound? Cause it was gonna cost alot more with flanges welded and only $80 for what im doing tomoroow morning.
  15. ok thanks heaps mate... hope this gives the exhaust shop a idea. so do they weld the flangs on the straight pipe so its easier to replace.

  17. hey all, Ive got a problem, What did everyone say to get the centre muffler removed to the exhaust shop guys. when I went down he said it was impossible for him too do with twin exhaust.... (probally to slack no idea) and he cant replace it with straight pipes and hot dogs were too hard for them.... Before you ask theres only the one exhaust shop in town.... So what should I say to the exhaust mechanic when I go back to them. Hope some one can help with my slight problem... Cheers.
  18. I called CAPA earlier this morning and they told me all I need to do is upgrade to 0.8mm plugs. so I got some NGK BKR6EIX (Iridium) plugs on order at auto 1, will be here wednesday or thursday and hopefully solve the problem. Thanks for all the help

  22. Ok I reflashed it back to stock last night (so I could go over 4k rpm) . I havent yet cleaned the plugs yet since we needed a longer socket . But im guessing they should be right cause I only got a service in december last year and done 4k kms since. also tryed using octane booster which had no effect when flashed but I could feel some change when stock. So at the moment might wait till tommorow to call CAPA and ask them if they know. Unless anyone thinks it could be something else? Tommo
  23. mmmm only prob closest dyno is Perth, (I think) so its best to bring it back to stock or will regapping plugs and replace fuel filter help (only 96-95octane in Broome) that's why im running 8psi.
  24. That might be the problem, how exactly do I do that and is it safe to still drive if I havent. umm yeah it is, but the moment it just hits 4k I feel a sluggish effect. cause I tryed 0-100 it was real slow after 4k rpm.
  25. PROBLEM solve, jump started the battery, reflashed and went for a drive last night. I can definally notice the difference. 1 problem when the rpm hit 4000 I get this rumble or sorta back fire out the exhaust and the whole car sorta sounds like its struggling. my mate said I mite need to upgrade exhaust or just the cat. any one got that problem?
