Started with 98 EL Falcon 6cyl auto Sapphire edition. Then to the current and For sale 03 Ba XR6T 4sp Auto. Now!!, Fpv 06 Bf mk2 F6 Typhoon 6sp auto

Yeh cheers mate, I was looking at a BA 4k cheaper but had another 40k kms on the clock. I dont mind the manual but after driving the Zf 6 auto for the first time, I change my mind to the BF right away. Yeh looks real great during the day when clean Havent seen it at night yet, still another few weeks before I collect the new ride.

I had a budget of 40k. So that's why he pointed to the xr6t. But then I did have another dealer {which I did not tell him my budget was}and he tryed to tell me to trade in and get a New 2009 FG Ego GT-P with dark argents . It was a Beast but still 62k I dont have haha.

Should have got it cheaper for only 3psi boost. Test drove few Fg xr6t and BF phoons and only 19. Was eyeing of a FG F6 to test drive :laughrolling: but already mention to dealer I had a budget, He just told me to look back at the FG xr6t. haha o well.

Paying about $1000 for My 2006 F6 typhoon with about 4k of mods. Only 19 and thru AAMI. ALOT!!!! better then my xr6t haha.

+2 ^^^ This is true. Few weeks ago when I was looking for a car I spotted a nice fg xr6 turbo for about 36k, 60k odd km's. Dealer told me to grab one of these cars cause next year (2010) the xr6t is getting discontinued and Ford will ONLY be building xr8's. I just laughed and left the yard LOL! . Stupid fool, The Xr6 T will not go. He just wanted me to get it haha.

Havent heard about a 321kw F6. No need I reckon since the current model is great. But I do agree with 310_FSX that it does need some touch up's including guage pod's on the dash which be a great little feature or tradition. Mate told me about the GT-HO with 351kw. Last I heard of was Ford or FPV Canned it. But I reckon FPV Will start concentrating on there v8's and the coyote engine's from now on. UPDATE!! UPDATE!! Just agreed a offer and purchasing 1st thing monday for a november/06 built FPV F6 Typhoon. colour EGO, 6spd ZF auto, prem sound, leather trim seats, reverse sensor's, upgraded fuel pump, bigger injectors and sniper software, running 297rwkw's. 38k kms on the clock for $36,000. CAr was service yesterday and got 7 months rego on it. To me it sounds like a Great deal, My budget was 40k and I reckon I did a great job. Just cant wait to Drive it again Will post some pics up later Tom

Im guessing your in the eastern state's or a new law has passed bout turbo/v8 on p's. Cause in WA I drove my BA xr6t for 9 or so months on P's and had no drama's with the police. or insurance companies I'd say wait 2 months and dont risk a fine or losing your license, which wont be fun.

I know this Topic is bit old but I got my ABS and brakes all fixed finally!!!. Problem was the sensors and some Coding in the cars computer was reading wrong. Cost $120 at Ford wasnt that bad. I hope that helps some people who experience the same Problems. Cheers Tom

Id give him a call mate, Most likely he is. Seen a nice Rapid BA In NSW for sale but its 35k with plates F6 FPV, Im guesing he's on here. Id wouldnt mind having a look at it, but its not in WA.

ALL GOOD Car had same problems as Phooned said (LHS ABS sensor) Ford gave it a touch up on there Computer and replaced the Brocken Fuse Box and fuse. Cost $120 which wasnt that bad I thought. Also Got them to check all brakes and handbrake which was Gone. That cost another $80 something. I had no idea what might have trigger the ABS Sensor to fail. Might be The Dust, dirt or Humidity of Northern WA.

Yeh I have checked insurance and the Fg xr6t is cheaper by about apx $150 a year. But that's not a issue since ill be able to afford it. Ive test driven a Fg 6t ute and that was nice and alot smoother then my BA but would prefer a sedan. wouldnt mind testing a f6 phoon before I decide but. When it comes to modding it wont be a big issue since I wont be doing much. ( ill be deciding between a Ba phoon or Bf xr6t if that was the issue) Next week ill be in Perth and I have been looking at some nice Typhoons and fg's over carsales. Hopefully gonna go check them out and if im lucky be able to take some for a drive.

Na havent lowered my car mate. But the signs are always on like before I broke the fuse the ABS came up some times but now its always there. Its booked in on Thursday and hopefully doesnt cost me much. Though I havent notice any differnet in Driving maybe its a Sensor thing?

O yeh by the way, If anyone on the forum or knows of anyone in WA selling a BF Phoon in the next 6 months, give me a PM ill be interested to have a look.

Ok heres whats happen. Was checking my ABS Fuses today. the small 15amp inside and the Big 60amp in engine just for burning or broken cause of my Brake issue which no one can repair (long story in another topic). any way trying to pull out the Big YEllow fuse in the engine fuse's and it snapped on me. (Was hard to get out) I Know I did Something wrong, all the metal wiring has snapped and it went too pieces. Any way when I start the car I get (!) (ABS) and traction controll OFF all Light up. Which did not look good. Im Gonna drive 2kms down the road tommorow to FORD Dealer and Get them to fix it. I shouldn't have touched a thing Hope its nothing too bad to worry about. Any one Had (!) light up on dash before give me some feedback, cheers.. Tom

That gonna be the worst thing when I buy a Bf F6 (insurance) I can afford the car but the insurance will be off the roof I bet. Well im Paying $1800 with about $1000 excess for my BA xr6t through SGIO and im in North WA. which aint bad for 19. I found Just Cars wasnt that bad too.

Might be hard Finding the exact Car (rapid Yellow and a BA with low km). But you never know your luck what will go up for sale before Chrissy and with interest rates going up again people way have to sacrifice there FPV to help. Good Luck Mate hope you find what you want

WOuld anyone know a appx date when we start seeing prices of Fg xr6t decrease a slight bit. Will it be when FG Series 2 or mk2 arrives? OR MAybe I should just wait anoth 6 months or so?

Hey mate I would go with the BA phoon. mainly because its a FPV and Better Brakes, Bit more power, Better body kit and internals in the engine are alot better unless your going to get 6t Bf mk2 which has F6 internals I think. If You want a car with 6sp Auto or Low kms it will have to be the MK2 BF turbo. But there are some BA phoons still with low kms. Im in the same situation but between a Fg xr6t or BF phoon.. (which is alot harder cause both nearly got the same engine) Good luck
