Just ordered my FG F6 Ute an upgrade from my BA XR6T MKII. Have to make this clear to all who are assuming. It is now beginning of August 2008 and FPV have stated that the FG F6 Ute is about 6 weeks away before deliveries, this will take it to sept. In mid 2010 ford and FPV are replacing all engines to co inside with the new emission laws. I honestly couldn't see why Ford or FPV would be releasing a MKII before 2010 when in less than 2 years we could see a new model and definetly a new engine. After some enquiries and speaking to a friend of a friend who works at FPV, if they do release a MKII it won't be until mid 2010 when they offer the new engines. They are currently in talks of whether this should also be a new model. People are assuming that the MKII xr6 t will have a twin turbo V6 onboard, I have been told by the FPV rep that FPV will def be using a V6 twin turbo from the states, not sure bout the XR6 T. They have already begun testing of the engines in the states and they are not getting the same power that the new FG F6 is producing. So for those who are waiting for a MKII, you will be waiting a very long time and may be waiting for nothing.
