My BA had a similar problem when I first bought it. The dealer I bought it from new of it and fixed it at the first service by balancing the drive shaft...

We managed to get the software running the issue was a .NET dependancy.. He was just trying to get a USB bluetooth interface to work now..

I'm having my Third one replaced today... They are weak and tend to break espcially if it gets hot..

All cool.... In reply to hgracer... I've only just had my first tune done.. Found a bloke in Tottenham (Dyno-Mite Performance) who I'm pretty happy with.. For a stock BA running 183rwkw at the firdt dyno run.. He got 234rwkw out of it, just with a CAPA tuner and his own custom 10psi tune... Certainly seems passionate about the cause.. :-) Dunc

When I first got my BA (one of the early ones) it had an issue where it would backfire and pop off one if the vaccum hoses. Ford told me that it was these filters causing the VCT to become out of phase??? They did something? Changed them or what ever, it has happened a couple of times since though.

Mine seems to be similar. From what I've worked out it does seem to happen when turning slightly and applying the brake at the same time... Time will tell... Warranty, well that's another "issue" I did have it checked by the Ford dealer that was servicing it but got nothing out of them but frustration. -

I've just replaced mine in the course of having my first tune :-) I had noticed that at high rev's the car was sort of missing or breaking down. It was doing it on the dyno. We replaced all of them at a cost of around $400 and the problem was gone straight away. It does seem to run smoother now too. My mechanic suggested that I possibly killed them due to washing the engine bay...

I've taken mine to Jeffererson since the day I bought it.. Never again though, I'm over them too they really seem to only be in it for a fast buck. I have complained to them a number of occasions about issues with my ABS and engine idle.. They consistently say that they cannot fault the ABS when there is definately something not right with it... I need somewhere else to go too... Ahh a vent, that feels better...

Looks great... I had one of them for my first car... I'd love another too.. The guys in there V8's used to hate getting beaten at the lights by one of them :-)
