just what I been reading around the forum

what $$ do you remember?

well in the case of the stock turbo the euro4 cat/exhaust flows enough, I am not to sure you will make that much more torque replacing it imho. the turbo will run out of puff regardless which mod path you take. bang for buck for maxing baby turbo and almost 500hp sleeper pump ~310-325rwkw @ 730-760nm e85 ~ 345-357rwkw @ 880-910nm 357 is a precise number you say? I have seen 4 members with various upgrade paths all end up the magic 357 number running e85. - ID1000 Injectors - PW Stage 1 or 2 Cooler Kit - PW Dual DW300 Surge setup - E85 Fuel filter - Remove restricter ring - Cut hole in bottom of air box - K & N air filter - Valve Springs (situational, some cars get valve float) - Xcal 3 / Tune

I was just reading through the book on recommended service items at 45,000km and wanted to just get some advise in regards to service items. I do mainly city driving/stop start. I know most in should I do list are optional and case by case but eventually want to do the whole list. Should I break them up into a couple services and which items should be priority? If I missed anything that you think would be quite important to do, keen to hear about it! Pretty sure need to do - Re-torque inlet manifold bolts - Clean air filter/intake(I replaced with K&N around 35000) - Oil and filter change Should I do - Clean throttle body / boost solenoid - Change diff oil (have no lsd version not sure what deal is but it is probably due. says 2 years in book) - Change battery(~2 years now and is standard battery still) - Brake pads/rotors(been on stock ones for a while, thinking maybe just pads for now) - Climate control filter - Change rake fluid ( says 2 years in book ) - Spark plugs - ZF Service (again never done) - Drop and replace cooler ( it says every 3 years however the colour looks really clear/white/greyish consistency. may be due to be done)

Euro 4 compliant FG's running stock cat can push high numbers without gutting anyway. What year is it??
-
I doubt they would give the good stuff away that easily, but it would be nice.
-
No mate, it's confirmed that it is not the 6235. I'm sure this turbo was a custom config he was working closely together with Sprio on but been to busy to actually test it.
-
I would invest in a tailshaft upgrade, just sayin. the only downside of the e85 is only getting 270-300km per tank
-
I did the flex plate before engine upgrade, after engine I smashed my built gearbox, planetary gears... shaft... the lot pretty much. In time most of drive line broke eventually. you play, you pay.... $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

terms & conditions apply * above statement excludes example of SteveR aka "the master clutch pack destroyer * well despite doing ~300k km, pretty reliable * it could always be worse than a few roasted clutch packs, I learnt this lesson :(
-
Want reliable. Those two would push 400+ where sh*t starts to break plus $$$$ Seems like a common trend for 400+ from observing the forum. 330-360 seems like the sweet spot....
-
GT37 hmm probably better going GTX37 - plus that one requires gate etc.. $$$$$$
-
don't be weak, buy old ute/van and a few drums, fill up and hold your own supply :D or do like e40 half e85 half 98. probably dont need to go that crazy on fuel supply with that either.

Just for you, looks like what ~17psi@2500 down to 12psi in top end!!! Pretty sure that turbo is maxed and can't make anymore than 357rwkw. I've seen many around on forums with much more done (4" exhaust, turbo side intake, ported housing/actuator) and still making similar. Not sure about GTX though, suppose 390-400rwkw, I think that will be awesome but that's the power level where sh*t starts to broke.
-
Yeah Steve, most were to extend my sticker T_T Damn!!!! Probably could have saved me a bucket load of cash if you weren't dormant on the forums when I needed to go over Oh well in the past now. You got lucky I think :( Doubt I will have dramas again, especially if I was to mod I would probably go stealth. Black cooler / as factory looking mods as possible. I saw on XFT's facebook page that they did a G6ET recently which made like 360rwkw on stock turbo, stock turbo back exhaust, airbox. Had only like stage 2 process west cooler, pw dual submerged surge, injectors, tune on e85 ~~! I think this will be the ideal power level especially with the responsive "smaller comp wheel turbo". This would be the ultimate sleeper as I doubt any mods would be visible and impossible for anyone to pick also confuse people as to how the hell it makes 500rwhp??? I know someone else on forum with similar power on the "smaller comp wheel turbo" ran a 10.89 and a little less power than that. TBH as a daily driver out of all the power levels I had, I enjoyed the mid 300's the most, so if I was to do it all over again I would do similar to that G6ET, maybe truetrac/bushes + tailshaft. Different to your approach of "WANT MORE POWAAARRR" orrr Steve's "WANT MORE SKIIIIIIIIIIIDSSSS"................. *on private roads*

LOL, that was after MV... I was just driving casually as my mrs was behind me and I would get chopped if I did anything silly. anyway got pulled over they were accusing me of many things like breaking traction, having blow off valve, illegal mods.... show permits... inspects engine bay and I asked him to show me the BOV, he said I was cleaver and had hidden it... got sticker for blow off valve that didn't exist and tyre placard missing from inside the door (FG's as per factory located in glove box). Highlight was when they tried to bust my mrs for having air freshener around rear vision(because she pulled over to see what the f*ck was going on) and they said they were going to fine her so she threw it at them LOL Obviously going to the PITS they find one thing or another, this instance cost me like another 1k to resolve issues. First time over cost me about 3k after engineering, changes, gas tests, parts etc.... I swear I would always have minimum 3 visits as every time they would find something else (revenue raising much???). First one was like 12 visits Not the main reason though, I thought was time to move on (costing me a fortune that I couldn't really afford as the constant breakages and was effected by GFC at the current workplace which I was at). After owning a wrx in the meantime while get finances sorted, had to get back in a turbo. This gave me the opportunity to change to a "sleeper" style car, stealth suits me better and hopefully will result in less drama.

but if I do truetrac, need to do bushes, then tailshaft, then box... adds up very quick!!

I can give you times I was running in my FG at various modification levels for ideas of times. I had great success on 20" street tyres! Very consistent mid 11 second passes. 12.8 109mph stock @ 230rwkw - stock dunlips 11.9 116mph tune, xforce 4" exhaust, nizpro injectors @ 303rwkw - 20" sumitomo htr z III's 11.5 124mph tune, custom 4"-dual 3.5" exhaust, nizpro injectors, PW surge tank/fuel pump, PW Stage 2 Cooler, PW Race 6" intake, f6 turbo/ ported wg/actuator @ 379rwkw - 20" sumitomo htr z III's 11.38 129mph tune, custom 4"-dual 3.5" exhaust, nizpro injectors, PW surge tank/fuel pump, Nizpro Intercooler, PW Race 6" intake, f6 turbo/ xft ported wg/actuator @ 405rwkw - 20" sumitomo htr z III's I stuck MT's and got one run of 11.5 in crappy launch and felt like heaps left in it, then tail-shaft broke second run. I then went the XFT Stage II Engine / 6Boost GT40 etc which I never got to run but never let me down, crazy street car! Changed owners twice, I heard Simon peddled it down the track and got a 10.60 with the engine/turbo combo. Now just single pegger daily that is all!

turboboink - I feel your frustration. sh*t like this always happens before an event. had something similar before MV couple years ago. Good thing get it now, could be worse while driving! My luck was pretty unforunate, had new tyre fitted at a tyre shop, drove away at night. tyre deflated. took off, put a borrowed rim from a mate that could clear the brembos. took the tyre back to the shop following day. seems like I had a crack in the Tyre beed, said shop did not warranty it. went else ware and got a tyre fitted that I had laying around. Tyre then developed an egg T_T fun times In regards to the farting, Yeah it can get annoying! I know I had this early on with mine, just asked Simon and he just updated my tune, I flashed the new tune on and it worked a treat after it was done! However I do recall him saying something along the lines it does provide somewhat level of safety but don't quote me on this was in 2008 lol

yeah that's about right for a tank~! if you want to have close to 400 maybe do a e40... half e85 / 98
-
Im so glad they did osborne park first !!!! Easy access for me :D We are still to get a oprorto NOR yet, so at least we got something first. Krispy Kremes looks like SOR will win this one though :(

I just saw in the 300kw thread a guy in Sydney had similar mods to above like I described bar also doing dump/cat. Car made 336rwkw on E85 and Ran a 11.2 @ 123mph

wow that's an awesome result well done.
