Sorry everyone, but this event needs to be postponed. The dyno at Boostworx has an issue that will not be repaired in time. The dyno will be moved back 2 weeks to the 13th of Feb 2010. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this will cause. On a better note, it does give people more time to prepare and enter. We still have spots available, so please consider entering! Thanks guys, and sorry! - Brian -

We're about half full (both sides) but we have a very high standard. Please apply; even if you don't make 10 zillion kw. There is no cost if your entry does not make the cut, and $30 is a cheap dyno! Not long now, just over 1 Month to go... -

Last years highest power was 450 (import), 390ish for domestic. Entering? The local boys could sure use the numbers. -
First of all, sorry for posting this in this section, but the South Australia events is closed for posting(?). Move if required. Entries for the 2010 Domestic VS Import dyno day are now open! ToyotaCarClub.net Presents the Domestic vs Import Dyno Day Shootout! This is a Domestic vs. Import dyno competition. We have limited entries to 48; 24 Domestic and 24 Imports - then using the top 20 scores from each side to decide the winner. Big V8 Holdens, XR6 Turbo Fords vs. the masters of boost; Toyota Supras, Nissan Skylines and Mazda’s best rotaries. We will be only accepting the top 20 entries from each side and I'm sure it'll be worth watching as some of the highest powered cars from both sides compete for overall honors as they all try to prove the age old question; who is king? The cost of the event is $30, this is to cover the dyno; the event is not for profit. (We are hosting it because it's cool, no other reason) Please apply at; (even if you *think* you dont make enough power, we will let you know if do; no cost until accepted) This event is also one of the first events to be held at the new Boostworx workshop, so check the address before heading down there! Cars under 100kw need not enter.

The day was long, the cars were awesome and the numbers were high. While we didnt get the turn out of Holdens we expected, with no Holdens coming to the dyno at all, the domestics we always going to struggle. The Imports layed down some big numbers early with Gavins rather impressive 487 rwkw from his A80 Supra. While the results were helped out by a late arrival of Fords from the KPM day there was to be no big come back and the imports took out the day. It was a great day, lots of awesome cars, both Turbo and N/A Muscle. I'd personally like to thank all those that took the time to bring the car for a run and all those that helped run the day. We will run the event again next year, and as such will take any advice to try improve the running of the event. Once again, thanks to entrants and assistants! Results; Imports Gaven Wollston 487.5 << Highest power on the day (A80 Supra) Andrew Bartlett 383.6 James Mclay 355.3 Darren Barson 306.4 Adrian Sharman 302.2 Tuan Nguyen 281.2 Kim Chew 271.4 Lee Johnson 250.7 Chad Spieleman 227.2 Dave Cazes 221.3 Steve Rossloger 218.4 Adam Thiele 199.1 Krishy Prad 195.9 Dale Sterling 185.8 Mike Kelly 155.7 Total 4,041.7 Average 269.4 Domestics Nick Kollis 369.5 Sean Johnston 326.6 Gary Watson 285.5 Daniel Obst 278.3 Greg Sparks 243.3 James Hannaford 227.7 Aaron Hopkins 206.4 Scott Evens 187.0 Total 2,124.3 Average 265.5 Pictures to follow. Sorry, I do not have the car information any more so they will not be posted.
